I remember when I watched this movie as a kid, I felt so immersed in this work of art, the setting and the soundtrack fascinate me to this day, I feel a great sense of nostalgia when I hear this melody again.

I See the professor as the incarnation of fate, not as a depicted character. The only appearance he makes is for killing another killdrun, allways recalling to these children that they can’t escape there fate, which is in my opinion one of the key idea of the film. Can we find enough sense in our repetitv Life to make it worth living. We know that the professor is an adult unlike every other pilot in the film, and we see him killing endlessly without failing those who want to escape their fate, as being an adult we can suppose that he can’t be bring back to life. By keeping his role and duty during this war we can maybe Say unlike jinrho and the others that he accepted his fate and maybe that being an adult is being able to accept Your fate. The Acceptance of fate and the question of suicide Is central in the book named the myth of sisyphe from a French writer named Albert Camus, who is directly mentionned by Kusanagi at the begining of the Film. The sky crawlers is a masterpiece that is still haunting me everyday
