The Greenhouse Hack that changed how I grow Seeds! 🌱
Did you know you can grow tropical plants in a DIY mini greenhouse made from something you might already have-or can get for free? Let me show you how I turned a repurposed item into the perfect tropical seed-growing greenhouse! It creates a warm, humid environment for seeds like mango, soursop, and custard apple.
The best part? You can often find these for free or cheap on places like Marketplace, so this project is super affordable and beginner-friendly!

Great videos Holly - esp. your grafting passionfruit one. One other thought - If you are growing plants with invasive roots in pots (not just passionfruit - eg. raspberries), make sure the base is elevated with at least a few cm clearance off the ground (eg. use bricks). The air-gap will generally prune any roots before they get down into the soil and become a problem.

Thank you for the info I’m trying to grow a couple mango seeds it’s been a week or so nothing. I’ll try covering it❤ I recently heard someone talk about Rollie pollies you call them slaters I’ve not tried this. She said cut into a radish and lay it in your plants it has to be cut. They supposedly love them and they gather there. just get rid of them and throw the radish back in your plant to catch more😂

I got a free full glass commercial fridge which is perfect. It has lights shelves and fans which I going to use to circulate the air. I gutted the fridge guts at the bottom. When it’s cold I will put a tub of rabbit manure in the bottom to heat up the unit. It’s also on wheels so I can have it indoors or outdoors if need be.

You should check out getting a wax piston for your greenhouse, it's an old non-electric tool that opens a greenhouse door or window automatically when it's hot and closes when it's cool, using the physical expansion and contraction of wax in a tube based on local temperature.
