Follow along as Amelia checks out the world and everything it has to offer!
Amelia is our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and she is training to be a psychiatric service dog, while working as an emotional support animal, and enjoying life as the pet of a traveling family.

At the beach - Strand Breskens, Netherlands
Amelias first trip back to the beach post-op. Granted, this beach wasn't nearly as warm as the ones that she got used to in Florida, but it is still the same salty sea air and always entertaining waves.
Although she wasn't allowed inside the lighthouse, we still had a great afternoon going for a walk along the beach, playing with the birds, chasing the waves, and looking closely at every single shell.
She has gotten a lot better about trying to eat the shells and the sand. The beach is still one of her hardest places to concentrate, but after a while she gets into her training. No videos of that since it is more important to have Jane concentrate on training rather than worrying about the camera.

Amelia is a blue eyed Cavalier King Charles Spaniel that is working as an ESA while being owner trained to be a service dog.
She is smaller than most Cavaliers because she was born with a hole in her diaphragm. She survived all the complications that happened after her emergency surgery to fix it and is now ready to start exploring the world with her family!

Amelias recovery seems to be going great. We did a really long walk today. Once she got tired Jane picked her up and carried her, but it was really encouraging how far she made it! It is great for her to get out and smell new things now that she is partially off of bed rest. She still has to take it easy when playing with other dogs, but we are supposed to slowly start taking her on longer walk...

After an emergency surgery, a life threatening infection, and everything in between, Amelia is finally home. She needs to rest a lot and recover, but her travels can and will continue. Stay tuned for more from her and her adventures!

This is the day after we pick up Amelia from the amazing folks at @RedBarnCavaliers . Because of all the hard work that they did before we picked her up, she jumped into our life like she had always been there. I swear Amelia and you daughter have a guardian angels looking out for them. You daughter is literally shining from within with hsppiness and do is Amelia. I cannot believe this is the tiny little warrior that was so very sick. I will keep up the good thoughts but looks like everyone is in the mend .

Amelia looks so wonderful and my Cavy looks sticking her head thru every fence too. What light is bank in her daughters eyes is amazing and I’m Amelia’s. So happy that it all worked these two definitely need more time together. ❤

As excited as she was to see the animals, she never lost sight of Jane and kept checking in to see how she was doing. Always a professional!

Wow Ami can’t believe she can remember all that after what she has been thru. I’m envious. Especially the stay! I can tell your daughter has put so much time into training Amelia Turquise she is so amazing !!❤so glad she is bouncing back! She is still quite a bit skeptical of the salt water. She is VERY interested in fresh water though!
@@Amelia5Kind interesting! I have a salt chlorinated pool that Louie loves. I started him with a floatation vest, and he loves to chase his ball in the water.
