Follow me and 2 of my friends on our adventure to an old Blast Furnace in Belgium. Battling my fear of heights, crawling through dark, dusty and claustrophobic passageways exploring this huge site. In the end we almost get spotted by some workers just as we were leaving. What a great adventure this was! Onto the next one

This is my build so far. I bought the GMC with a seized engine. It had been sitting for 6 years. I completed the work shown in the video in about 4 months. Hi ! What’s the size of your front and rear shocks ? Or do u have the reference number ? Thanks and really good job !
I have the stock shocks in the front, and Gabriel 58403 from Rockauto in the rear. Not too sure about the Gabriel shocks tho, they ride a bit sloppy. But you can look what height they are and get the same height from another manufacturer
Nice built van for the long haul.
Music sucks and it’s too loud. Next time buy more of the tune so we just don’t hear the same notes over and over again. Do over!

sounds great but the 6.5 is trash
Not if you do a few mods to it to make it bulletproof. Stock, yes they have a few flaws that can make them fail. For me the only downside was it wasn't as tuneable as the Duramax

The engines themselves are fine. It’s what GM put on them that gave them a poor reputation. There are a lot of aftermarket mods and parts that will bulletproof the engine. However don’t expect to make a ton of power in its stock form. They aren’t the best engine, but they aren’t that bad either. The 6.5 was designed to get good fuel economy while also able to do work, not make a ton of power. But a 6.5 will yank anything you put behind it, it just won’t be very fast. You can certainly get more power out of a 6.5 but you would have to put stronger head studs as the stock head bolts aren’t strong enough, otherwise you’d blow a head gasket quick.
@@Omegadoomship I get what you are saying but the fuel economy is a mis conseption. The 6.2 was designed to be a fuel alternative to the big block while also being able to pull. The 6.5 was made to try to compete with the other brands.
Great Job I have a 1992 conversion vandura 2500, star craft with 161000 real, legitimate miles and I don't want to let it go down, last year started repairing..❤️👍

If you didn't rebuild the seized engine, would you have gone out of you way an bought an LS1 crate engine?
Tbh I never even considered it. My budget was pretty tight, but looking back that would have definitely been an option!

I’m not sure what size I had in it, I sold the van a while ago. I did need to fabricate a frame to make it fit though

Coil spring spacers for the front, lift blocks for the rear. Also longer shocks and driveshaft

I did like a halfway rebuild in the parking lot of my apartment complex '92 Chevy G20 conversion it's about to become my daily driver I'm just getting her back on the road. Inspection coming up this week and air conditioning recharge. Someone really beat up that engine! How's this van these days?
Yeah no clue what they did to that engine. Luckily I had a spare engine and I ended up swapping the crank. The damage where the rod hit the bottom of the cylinder was only minor. Machine shop trimmed it a little and I ended up re-using the block itself. I sold the Van last year but it’s still with the new owner and still running strong as far as I know. Currently working on a new project. ‘97 K1500. Good luck on your G20 man they are great if you get them right

Dude...you did that van sooooo right! I have had a Vandura (diesel) for over 20 years and now have started working the Florida rust...It will never be as nice as yours but I love her!
