This episode should've ended with Jon waking up in a cold sweat and realizing it was all just a dream and the Night King is still marching on Winterfell, they could've even explained away how dark the episode was "well you see since being resurrected, there's a lot of darkness in Jon which manifests in his dreams basically turning the brightness down to a barely barable level" in truth we know it was dark because they didn't want anyone to see how bad it actually was

I can’t believe they completely blew past the opportunity to have Jon leap from one of the towers and slaying Viscerion, mirroring Arya and the Night King. What a waste.

Id have loved if the writers made it that becoming a faceless man, meant that she was nothing/one indeed. Nothing, no identity of soul, So no one and nothing indeed could slip by ethereal beings. No one can get past or beat them. A mind possesses the bodies of those they fell. The night king may only fear bran because he too can see everything . The only other who can. But what if becoming faceless meant that she became invisible to both their sights and could therefor slip past them all and kill him. Because he truely could not see her coming/the event leading up to it. Like she just slipped off a psychic radar. Ayra became the nothing. But no, just sneaky sneaky and shiv.

It would have been dope if Viserion actually hesitated and probably defected from The Night King's side. Jon is technically Undead, having died already before, so they'd already feel a deeper kinship than they had before. Imagine that? The Undead King of the Cold North riding an Undead Ice Dragon? It writes itself really.
