Speaking and moving your hands while speaking is an example of dividing attention. A certain amount of focal energy is required to move your hands and there is a certain amount of focus required to speak the words - both through the kinesthetic channel on the external field. You are also engaging the visual channel to a degree but not as much. But your attention is also partially focused internally on formulating the words to speak. I proposed there is a specific focal energy distribution pattern in any given moment where we have a certain amount of our total pool of available focal energy distributed in different portions to different channels on the internal and external field of attention

John Devine 48 second Psychology is CLEARLY a mistake on at least two levels. Any twelve year old with a classical education KNOWS that! Follow: First off, by definition, Socratic Dialogue is ethics, not biology. Therefore, only an ignorant, ill-educated rube of epic proportions would argue that psychology is medicinal, or, medicine, at all. To do so would be a mistake, such as categorizing a solid as a vapor. It's called being classically educated. Otherwise, someone would have to be intentionally unethical in contrivance of fraud - which is EXACTLY what the early psychologists admitted. See: argument between Erik Erikson and S. Freud over how clinical psychology is fraudulent, an unethical confidence game, a trick to be played on women who lack a Classical Education in an era of misogyny. This admited rick is why Erikson did not practice clinical psychology. And, moreover, admitting the fraud is why Erik Erikson was offered and accepted a teaching position at Harvard University. Historically, EVERY academic KNOWS that FACT. This trick relies on obedience to authority ala Dr. Stanley Milgram's Yale experiments. You would literally have to be mentally deficient to try such a fraud. SECONDLY: even the Behaviorists said that is you try to get inside someone's head, which is what the Cognitive Psychologist claims they're ding, you're just playing pretend. It's not realistic to say you can guess someone's intentions. Quite simply, you'll never know if they are trying to mislead, or if a person has some ulterior motive, or if they might not understand any given hypothetical situation in its entirety.
