Industrial Table Left to Rot Gets Major Renovation with Reclaimed Lumber!
I bought this old, dilapidated table in 2015 from a guy who hoards more stuff than I do! I've been sitting on it since then waiting for the right time to give it a new lease on life ... and that time is now. Thanks for watching!

Grab some dowels and make some gifts! The clock is ticking, but lucky for you these can all be cranked out in short order ... from a few minutes to about a day. Subscribe to my Channel: @ImGonnaMake Check out my website: www.imgonnamake.com Instagram: bradsgonnam... Twitter: oldmanbradellis
Should I have left this on the street? (The answer is no)

Just because some choice materials are on the side of the road doesn't mean you ALWAYS need to take them. Share the love! Don't hoard all the free DIY projects. Take with intent ... like I did for this (mostly) simple headboard-to-candle holder Halloween decoration project. Thanks for watching! I did NOT want to make this bench!
Переглядів 4069 місяців тому
A few years ago, while our house was being built, I pulled some structural beams out of the dumpster with the intent of someday using them to make a bench. I kept putting off the project for various reasons, and even when I decided to do it, I still procrastinated. Despite all the setbacks, I'm still thrilled with the outcome. Thanks for watching! Quick note: Got some feedback on audio levels a...
File Under P for Pizza: Organize Your Ooni Pizza Game with an Upcycled Office Cart
Переглядів 122Рік тому
After a couple years of awkward pizza cooking, I get our @Oonihq oven up off the ground by flipping this old office cabinet into the perfect pizza cart. A coat of paint, some new wheels, and a much needed shelf gave this beige cubicle relic a second life serving up something way better than cover sheets on TPS reports.
Building a Garden Fortress Part 3: Garbage Wood to Garden Gate #workshopbanterchallenge
Переглядів 163Рік тому
The final step in this garden project is a gate ... something that lets me in and keeps the critters out. Pallet wood isn’t really my first choice these days, but in the spirit of fun, I went that route so I could get in on a challenge hosted by the Workshop Banter podcast. This is a pretty simple build and the only real hurdle was the expected wonkiness of the boards from the pallet. Subscribe...
Building a Garden Fortress Part 2: Conquer Weeds & Grass with Cardboard & Wood Chips (*almost free)
Переглядів 106Рік тому
I’m keeping the grass and weeds under control in my vegetable garden area with a layer of cardboard and a thick layer of woodchips. The best part? It was DIRT CHEAP! Subscribe to my Channel: @ImGonnaMake Check out my website: www.imgonnamake.com Instagram: bradsgonnamake Twitter: oldmanbradellis
Building a Garden Fortress Part 1: Raised Beds, Deer-Proof Fencing, and Fire
Переглядів 220Рік тому
I’m finally getting a garden in the ground, and I’m giving yakisugi/shou sugi ban - with a U.S. Midwest twist - a try for a raised bed. I went with inexpensive construction-grade pine instead of cedar for this build. Time will tell if this was a wise decision. Also, where we live, deer and rabbits will make a quick meal out of any plants we stick in the ground, so I’m protecting my produce with...
Say Goodbye to Chaos! Easy storage for screws, nuts, bolts, & nails
Переглядів 28 тис.Рік тому
I’ve been hoarding screws, nails, nuts, and bolts in a giant plastic tote for too long. My solution? Lots of little plastic totes. It might be a shortcut (as opposed to making something), but the end result is this: my fasteners are organized. Works for me. But can your bookcase do this? (Hint: Secret Drawer!)
Переглядів 193Рік тому
Not that long ago, my kid asked for a bookcase for their birthday. I finally made it happen ... and snuck in a little bonus of a secret drawer at the bottom. Firewood on your front porch? Yep!
Переглядів 122Рік тому
With just a few 2x4s and some wood glue, I made a pretty OK looking firewood rack for the front porch. And since our porch is covered, the wood stays dry.
Fit a 10 pound dog in a 3 inch box?
Переглядів 1072 роки тому
Many years ago, my parents rescued a miniature wire-haired wiener dog named Harmony. Recently, after many years of being pampered in a loving home, Harmony passed away. My dad complained that he could not find an urn that they liked, so I offered to make one. I hit some obstacles along the way, but I eventually got it right. oldmanbradellis bradsgonnamake
Hiding from my neighbors in plain sight!
Переглядів 3022 роки тому
Our house has one of those standard issue 14x14 decks that seem to be stuck on the backs of so many homes these days. The area underneath isn't exactly out in the open, but a little extra privacy never hurts. It also helps define the space AND it adds some much-needed shade. We used an alternating pattern of 5.25" wide and 3.25" wide pressure treated boards. And if you're digging the planters o...

I'm Gonna Make a Bunch of Christmas Ornaments
I really like it flat across the top. No heavy lid to fall down.
Don’t take this the wrong way but, I like your box. Lol. You’re a nut. You’d fit right in with my crew. Nice video. I made one similar to yours before I even seen your video.
Not just you! 😂
can you post a link to the containers
Trying to find those plastic bins. Can you send me a link to them?
@@nathanchapel5950 Absolutely, it’s these right here: a.co/d/bWGbXTg
Well, I have to ask😂 How are you planning on crossing to the other side if you burn that bridge?
Build a new one! I know a guy …
Finally! Someone who calls it a patrol box. Reminds me of Scouts
WOW After your explanation on moving parts I give this an expert quality Stunning
Ohh wow. You must be like the happiest man alive.
At least yours were in a tub. My husbands are all over the place 🤦♀
Ha! Been there as well. It took me quite a few years to embrace organization, and I’m still working on it.
That’s a fishing knife
It's funny, we have about the same stuff in our junk drawers. The Wooden Knife, is actually a Fishing Fillet/Scaling knife. Thanks for the video.
Good to know about the filet knife, thanks for the nugget of knowledge. Thanks for watching!
i have 5 coffee cans of nuts bolts screws and misc 🤣😂
That was my future, for sure.
It may not be exciting, but my word when it’s done… makes life so much easier! 😊
You’re 100% right!
Great chuck box and video. Ill have a crack at one over here in Australia 🇦🇺.
I hope you do make one! Thank for watching and best of luck on the build.
How easy is it to pull a box of screws out of the drawer? From the video it looks like you'd need a suction cup or something
There’s enough of a gap front to back that makes it pretty easy get a box of screws out of the drawer.
What a strange synchronicity that you pull out a Smokey the bear ruler you found after the lighter mishap lol
That is genius!!
It is not a spoon-spatula. It is a stir-a-nator.
Henceforth, I will only ever call it a stir-a-nator.
Nice table, good save, who'd want to eat off a slaughterhouse table anyway, a talking point maybe, but not great if you're hosting any Vegan friends, they'd be upset enough if you polished it with Beeswax !😉 Love the "Makin' Biscuits" clip !
I was hoping to find the Gir fans with that clip. 😁
I use to do the Elmer's glue thing when I was a kid.😀
I think it’s kind of universal!
Nice table!
Thanks, I think the look of the pine is growing on me the more I see it.
Can we talk about the lantern you moved to get to the “slaughter house” table? 😁
Absolutely! Those were sold to me as parts lanterns. I have an idea of what I want to do with them, but it might be a while before I get to that project.
You and the lighter, I needed that laugh. Great you did not edit it out 😂
Link yr label maker 👍🏻 great video
This is the one I have: www.dymo.com/label-makers-printers/letratag-label-makers/dymo-letratag-100h-handheld-label-maker/SAP_1749027.html However, I'm not sure I'd recommend it. I've heard good things about the Brother P-Touch. I'll probably upgrade to that some day.
You could paint part of that white wall with chalkboard paint.
I love the concept--especially no hindges.
Great build out!
The biggest problem I see in these chuck boxes is weight. Everyone wants to include everything in one unit but with an empty box weighing in at 30-40 lbs of wood and hardware it doesn't leave much room for supplies.
Using your fingers for applying glue ups is a sign stupidity plus it creates a black lines and extra sanding
That’s such a great idea, I’ll take two ha ha
What product did you use to seal the wood?
I used Minwax Polycrylic. 2 years and several camping trips later, it’s still holding really well.
Awesome work mate! All you forgot was a bottle opener and a fire blanket!
Gotta save something for version 2.0, right?
@@ImGonnaMake pls upload part 2
Same 😢
Elmers glue fingers! Yes, I remember.
Great design!
That’s some…aggressive…sanding in the last shot 😳
Love ur sense of humor!!!
Well, that’s a thing. Very entertaining. Throwing the Dow in the field was hilarious
Best design yet !!! Ahh , you work for IKEA !!! 🤣🤣👍👍
That poplar was a good choice!
That’s an awesome chuck box 😍💕👍🏽🇦🇺
What is your dust collection setup?
I have a 1250 CFM setup from Rockler and it does the job with most tools. That table saw is just a messy dinosaur that needs to be upgraded soon.
I have a similar problem and THIS was just what I was looking for (along with the link to the product a little further down)
Glad this helps! I also used this, which was really helpful in sorting. a.co/d/5W4OuEH
Very creative on multiple levels. Thankyou for no music! Love the floor sorting scene - did that during COVID. Congrats on saving that cabinet. At 3:20 you are a poet: Overflow, tap tap tap Empty container Room to grow Haiku?
Thanks for the kind words, I appreciate it. Mind if I ask about the no music? I try to only use it sparingly and with purpose in some videos.
Music on YT is usually overpowering; dislike most of it. Its a personal thing. Cannot please all.@@ImGonnaMake
Very nice, they look amazing. Keep up the great work!
It became a work of art 👏👏
Pretty cool effect!
I heard “dirty saw” like “dirty pop.”
GROOVY! Well done Sir!
