Man i remember the first time I went to buy Skyrim I saw a trailer about the vampire dlc and how you can also be a werewolf so I went to GameStop got it and got thru the intro and as soon as I got out the cave got attacked by a wolf 😂 and the second time ran into the camp of bandits right by the cave exit in the beginning and immediately raged quit 😂😂😂 never to pick it up until like a year or 2 later 😂😂😂

I almost think that they should have outsourced production on ES6, which makes me wonder where are their profits going? I would think between the success of ESO and all the various releases of ES5, they would be able to expand and have a second team of developers...

Fun fact the teleporters that are in the facility lead you to all the seeds and you wouldn’t have to run around so much if you use the cyclops with at minimum a fabricator

i can see whats gonna happen a mile away. its already been basically confirmed that they're gonna be using the creation engine for tesvi. which means 2 things: lots of glitches, and lots of loading screens. before starfield i dont even remember the last single player game i played with a loading screen. red dead didnt have them, final fantasy 7 rebirth didnt have them, cyberpunk didnt have them (they had elevators but it didnt disrupt the gameplay or pull you out of your immersion is my point) and no mans sky didnt even have them and that game came out in 2016. they should take a note from CDPR and just switch to unreal. every studio wants to be rockstar with their own version of the RAGE engine. and RAGE is probably around as old as the creation engine (originally AGE and gamebryo), give or take. i think even a little older. but bethesda with the release of starfield has clearly made zero effort to be competitive and evolve this engine into the modern era like rockstar has. they're like a stubborn child and wont learn their lesson until they get hurt. and their cash cow drops dead because they got fat and complacent. assuming tesvi will have a handcrafted world, it likely wont fall into ALL the same pitfalls as starfield since im assuming it would need to drop the completely random world generation. so hopefully exploration wont feel as gutted and boring. but what i assume we can expect is just skyrim with starfield's higher fidelity and all the same bugs from 2011. if its running on the same engine, we can expect the same story. they need a cyberpunk level failure at launch before they change anything they do

Sea crown doesn't only grow in the sea emperor room, it grows in other caves, some are very close to safe shallows. Also, the final facility gives you unlimited ion cubes and portals to every places on the map where you can get needed ingredients for the enzymes + a convenient portal to the island not that far from the shallows and probably your base, where you can quickly collect ingredients and fabricate a make-shift base with a fabricator and make enzymes. So you don't actually need to run anywhere. And also, if you've missed the sea crown, it means you haven't explored the cave, which is on you. But what I don't like is that the ion power only available basically at the end. When I play, I usually get all seamoth upgrades as fast as possible, go to the lost river, unlock ion power, and only then start resource collection and the main playthrough. I might do that even before going to the Aurora.

And they’re using basically the same engine it’s gonna be a buggy starfield mess, we’ll never get another masterpiece like Skyrim again

first encounter with the reaper i shit my pants and i have never gone to the dunes in a month, eventually i did find a way to play around reapers but they still scare the crap out of me.

There's a certain point where longer game development duration goes from eliciting optimism, due to a perception that the game will be more polished, to pessimism due to the likelihood that major issues at the studio are the cause. We are well past that threshold for ES6.

I kind of see the ESO curse as a potentially good thing. If ESO is making steady money. It doesn’t put as much pressure on the development of ES6 (clearly). But often we see games come out being shells of what they could have been because of time constraints and investors/publishers wanting their money asap

If they want to milk skyrim and eso, they just need to open up the ip. Star Wars games flatlined, thanks to EA's death grip on it. It got revived, albeit distastefully, but it did. I would love to see CD Projekt Red take the reigns on ES6
