I’m closing in on my first year as an MHA and am burned out. It’s taxing on your body, I’m always tired and have no ambition to do anything when I’m home. Quality of life is not there.
My station is literally hell on earth, stolen keys, stolen arrows, no communication, they are ridiculous thinking we can do this work in the time giving
So im hearing that the actual job is cake, its just management and work hours. Dude never served in the military lol. I came from working 24 hour days, waking up at work and not leaving the next day until 7pm, then going home, working the next day another 16 hours, just to go back to 24 hour duty the next day and repeating the cycle. Usps sounds like a cake walk
I retired after 20, couldnt put up with the BS anymore. Constant battle between supervisors, workers and "non" workers and union. You get punished for doing a good job, your reward is more work. The less work you do the more help you get. When i was a supervisor they told me i needed to write up someone everyday or i wasnt doing my job. I worked in an office with over 100 carriers.
What if you don’t have the privilege to go to school like most young adults and need a good paying job? Is it really that bad lmao . It’s like the only government job they hires felons
My Friends older brother works for the USPS. He said not to apply when I was going to. I took his advice. At least his job is training truck drivers so maybe not as bad as route delivery guys.
Al, there are zero better jobs out there. Forget trying to better yourself, it will just put you in debt.
You better be thick skinned
I was in the biggest depression of my life working there . Even though I was making money I was still unhappy. No one should have to work that hard 6 days a week. Imo the post office should start letter carriers at $40/HR. Even still the turnover rate is gonna be sky high.

The post office is run like you’re in the marines.
The Postal Service is the most shittiest job in the USA and the whole world. I don’t blame you for resigning🎸
You definitely sound like a Mitch…
dont do it verry toxic abusive environment full of bullies
This is the most truthful video of usps
Spot on I’m about to quit it’s a joke this job is trash
As a older job seeker without much skills, usps mail carrier is not a bad choice. Everything in the video is true, but you will have to understand how the game is played and what the union contract allows. Nobody in USPS will care about you. Not co workers, supervisors, union stewards , ETC You will have to be your own advocate. First 90 days will be hell. After that, you can cite protection from union contract such as work restriction to 8 hours a day, not working on your day off, etc Once you make regular , it doesn’t get better but it gets easier. Easier routes, schedule, work life balance, etc My only options is working for TSA, bus driver , prisons or usps or homeless shelters USPS has the lowest starting pay but it is the least stressful for me. Bus driving makes $42/hr but you always have to be on high alert and you gain a lot of weight if not careful. I stressed eat a lot from all the driving and heavy traffic. Prison makes $32 dollars but you can die TSA makes $32 but there’s a lot of human interaction and airport environment and being under the public eye USPS only pays $22 but work by yourself 80% of the time For me, usps and tsa were the least stressful job. TSA was a good job too but I’m introverted and prefer to be by myself. Bus driving isn’t bad either but there’s a lot of stress. You can kill a lot of people/accidents. It has happened to a few co workers plus a lot of violence on bus. Never worked in jails. Had option to work in homeless shelter for $60k a year but can get assaulted/disease Those were my choices as an older man with no skills
What job did you apply for at UPS?
Also, what entry level jobs can you get at a prison?
USPS...3 years of hard work.....20 years of hanging around
I'm a postal worker in Germany and after two years of constant stress and pretty much everything you described I was laid off. I just wanted to thank you for speaking such honest words about this job and what it takes to do it.
I hope you make a new video, your commentary is underrated!
Im so glad I left and got the job I really wanted, I still have my USPS ID badge and wear it behind my new ID badge
The post office is built generally for those without a degree that have no other alternatives. This is how the cruddy mgmt will be able to control an employee. Providing with a loud 1980s vehicle with no.air or heat is despicable
I have a great Postmaster. I consider myself lucky.
Weekly pay?
Working at multiple post offices for another company for a little while I've noticed some of the nonsense that goes on. Supervisors talking garbage to the post master about other carriers while they are out delivering.
I just started as a CCA , and Holy 💩 I cannot picture my life like this till I retire, no freaking way!!! My respect to all the ladies and gentlemen that put up with this HELL HOLE….
honestly sounds like every other job i've had except better pay 🤣🤣🤣
The solution to deal with USPS is to get a Jewish attorney.
Great video! 😂
Just got my route on the 15th and I love it
I totally understand bro i explain this to my wife everynight but somehow mangage to stay there.
It' s terrible job. I quit after the first week. They don't treat you like a person.
I worked at the post office as a CCA I didn’t even make it 90 days what a fucking shit show
I retired early and was very thankfull to get out of usps early. 4 trips to a psychiatrist do to lieing coworkers and has never happened in private industry the place is full of clicks and each craft is against the other i was glad i got out when i did.
About the eating habits I had a good breakfast and just drank water the rest of the day. But I quit because of being overworked. They treated me like an LLV.
You SPEAK TRUTH. I WORKED 36YRS. IT TAKES A TOLL ON YOUR FAMILY, KIDS, AND MAKES LIFE A LIVING HELL! IT CONSUMES ALL YOUR LIFE. YOU DON'T SEE YOUR FAMILY, YOU DON'T ENJOY HOLIDAYS WITH YOUR FAMILY BECAUSE YOUR AZZ IS WORKING. WHEN YOU'RE OFF, YOUR SO DARN TIRED UNTIL ALL YOU DO IS SLEEP, TEST JUST TO DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN. MEANING EVEN WHEN OFF YOU DO NOT SEE YOUR FAMILY FOR SLEEPING & RESTING.
How are litter carriers getting injured on the job and some examples of the stressful things you have to deal with I’m considering this can you answer those questions I’d appreciate it. Thank you.
The injuries can come from dogs and lifting/delivering things. If you ever feel unsafe, you don’t have to deliver those items. For example, if you have to lift a heavy package upstairs or see a dog on the street, you scan no access. Supervisor will abuse you but you need to understand union contract. Your first 90 days will be HELL. It gets easier after that but not better. But it gets easier. Plus working in the cold snow rain heat sucks If you can survive, it does get Easier but not better Easier routes, easier schedule etc Easy job but stupidvisors will always be hounding. After 90 days, you can get work restriction and only work 8 hours a day. Everyone in the office will hate you but they can’t fire you. You don’t have to answer your phone on your day off. Just got to know the game, you feel me? Get in your truck and listen to music
👍😊you got that right don't even think about they treat there employees like crape
I mean... theres people that work there 30,40,50! Years....call me crazy but it aint thay bad... maybe you're just sensitive to work?
Maybe you are used to being a bitch
Heh, about safety being all talk: my old job was like that. We'd have lectures on safety, have to recite various rules at the morning meeting ... and then go off to work on aging broken wobbly equipment and infrastructure
Just forget the post office the will hopefully someday will not be around anymore they don’t treat the people right they are the worst company to work for I will never mail anything from the post office again 👎
This is so odd I'm lucky to even get 8 hours most days I just get 6 hours a day... :c
If you always need to be REMINDED to do things for YOUR life this job is for you😊
No it's not for anyone they treat you like sh%t
All you guys are fucking lazy… A job is a job you get paid $$$. I worked in the restaurant business before this and this is nothing compared to that.
Stop licking the boot
I bet he's in charge of all the windows cleaning them
You are lazy I feel.
Sounds like you just made a lot of bad life choices and couldn’t handle it
I had heatstroke on the job and they sent me back out. Absolutely disgusting
wow sounds strangley like the military lol 😂😂
Bingo!!
I’ve been at the post office for 2 years. You can make a lot of money in the post office if you’re not a lazy person. You sound like you’re a lazy person.
You sound like a bitch who loves to get shit on.
I did it 3 years. Letter carrier. That job is nothing special and you sacrifice way too much. I left there and I’ve been so much happier.
