been very interested in getting as harsh as I can with my modular. iolabs Flux triggering the 1010music Bitbox Micro at 399 bpm. adjusting the density and lengths of the gates but at that rate it's very subtle. that runs into the SSF Stereo Dipole filter and into the Wildfire Laboratories Sandevistan contact mic and diode distortion module. jam on.

a subtle and simple patch using various sounds recorded into the Morphagene and processed using the Stereo Dipole filter and Microcell. several chaos and random voltages used to control parameters. Bitbox Micro also adding sound.

this weekend I set up my PA in our loft space. 4 Mackie SRM450s, 1 Mackie Thump 18" subwoofer and a Mackie VLZ1202 Mixer. Improvised a set with it and recorded it using the Zoom Q2n-4K camera. A bit grainy but a little old fashion film look helped that. The audio is all room recording. Nothing direct. I didn't push this PA at all hahaha. Barely tickling the green. Someday we'll crank it. pcrv was one of the names that got me into harsh noise. happy he is still rocking it old style. no hnw, no cutup obsession, no big art concepts, no modular synths. no screamy metal influence - pure dynamic creative harsh noise if you ask me

Very cool! I struggle to get soundscapes like this with my buchla modules, I'm not sure how to use the source of uncertainty effectively. Do you have any tricks or guidelines you follow with it when patching something up like this?
Thank you. So this was really the first time I got these kind of sounds out of mine. I'm still learning the source of uncertainty. But for this patch I took the noise sources and fed the quantizedand stored random voltages with them. Put them on a slow cycle and turned the oscillators low. I also have the random voltages controlling the attack and decay of the envelope. Plus controlling various aspects of the oscillators. Honestly I patched it up without any real thought. Hope for the best kind of approach haha. Hope this helps a little.

@@mattaggart When it hits that it's so soothing to me. The opposite effect of say feedback from a mic or guitar. It's interesting how different pitches can be so close to each other yet so drastic.
