    Does this have a catalyst built in for efficient burning and low smoke? And can a person obtain a gravity feed hopper for this and use pellets. If not will it stand up to eco logs or presto logs?

    • @dustyhenderson3126
      @dustyhenderson3126 2 дні тому

      It has 3 bricks horizontally up top and an air was system that comes in the back of the stove by the glass to inject oxygen into the fire for secondary combustion. It burns really well and if you are burning dry wood it shouldn't smoke much at all.

    • @jmackenzie2131

      @ thank you for the reply. I’ve been looking at multiple models to put in a class a diesel pusher one of them being the Kimberly but for $5000. I just don’t have it nor do I think it’s a good idea to spend that much even if I did and I came across this. Does this use triple wall pipe how small can the pipe be for clearance and how far off the roof to get the right draft? I have a flat roof situation I guess that’s obvious.

    • @dustyhenderson3126
      @dustyhenderson3126 2 дні тому

      @@jmackenzie2131 It is best to use at least 7 feet of pipe with this model. It uses 4" Class A HT wood stove Pipe that has 2" clearance to combustibles with a 6" outside diameter on the pipe, so you will cut a 10" hole to have the 2" clearance around the pipe . You can use a piece of single wall stainless steel and then get a pipe adapter to change to the HT pipe that is twist and lock at that point. We stock all of the pipe and accessories for the stove installation. 4" pipe is hard to find, so we stock it. 2 feet off the roof or more is best in case there are sparks etc.

      @@dustyhenderson3126 thanks dusty but I'm really liking the idea of log feeding and split log feeding for those fuels you don't need to buy. I really like mini me 1 but I have 500 sq feet. What I really want is a log feeder add on to my stove so I can have lots of heat if needed with narly large logs and overnight heat with the log feeder and some nice logs. That way I don't need a larger log feeder to heat the larger home.

    How far away from the wall is the side that connects to the wall? I have a cubic mini grizzly stove and I recently added an addition on my house that makes it difficult to keep warm with the grizzly. I’m wondering if I installed yours in place of the grizzly if I would be able to use the existing hole that goes through my roof. The center of the grizzly pipe sits 5 inches from the wall.

    • @flameinnovation

      We have a zero inch clearance from the wall when using our shelf/ wall bracket kit. The grizzly I don't know clearance numbers. If your pipe is 5 inches away from the wall then that's cutting it close if you are talking about where it runs up and out. Sorry I am not picturing or understanding exactly what you are getting at. • @dustyhenderson3126
      @dustyhenderson3126 10 місяців тому

      You load the logs down the feed tube and they burn on the bottom of the bottom log. As it burns it self feeds and the air being blown into the pot keeps the fire going is probably the simplest way to explain. We also have a gravity fed pellet adapter now that goes in the tube like a log and lets you burn pellets without electricity. The burn times are from 6 to 10 hours with 2 or 3 logs and up to 20 hours with pellets and the extra 30 lb. pellet hopper added as an accessory.

    We ended up with a wall-mount pellet stove that uses electricity (about 150-175 watts per hour) after passing on the Wiseway non-electric model due to a LONG wait (supply chain shortages). With a tiny home of 420 square feet, this would've been perfect had it been available back when we built it. Definitely will give it a hard look on our next project!

    I've been looking for a compact stove for a while that doesn't take up a ton of room, but can give me a bit of extra "free heat." (I get my wood free.) The glass view is a plus; being UL listed is a definite plus. I haven't used 4" pipe before (I've always been a 6" pipe/chimney guy) but I see you have approved 4" insulated chimney on your site. This might sound crazy, but at 90 pounds, this is a stove that I can set in place in late October through mid March, then store out in the workshop for the rest of the year to save space in the months when I'm not using it. Made in the USA is a plus, too. You're at the top of my list for a potential purchase at the moment.

      Thank you. Lots of people do the same in their rvs. Install in fall and out in the spring. True burn times we advertise. Appreciate you having a look at our products. Anything else let us know

    How long will 30Lbs last at mid damper ?

    • @flameinnovation
      @flameinnovation Рік тому

      16 to 24 hours. It also depends on the type of pellets used. Hardwood pellets burn cooler and last longer. softwood burns little hotter. Also elevation and your chimney routing but generally those are good numbers

    You know, you are not far from Tiny Wood Stove. They are made in China and I believe are thinner. Your price is not that far off, why do they have such a strong following and you do not? I personally feel you have a better product, made here in the USA. It is also a nice design. Just my thought! Would be interested in two of your stoves in the near future to put some Videos out on install and usage.

    How Does the flame/fire not travel up the tube. Is the cap sealed?

    • @flameinnovation
      @flameinnovation Рік тому

      Yes it is. Plus air going down. And the adapter is built to withstand the heat by the height of it so pellets are insulated from the heat etc.

      I really want one but trying to sort out install spot, insurance, if I can run a pipe to basement for intake air, how hot do you need it b4 you can cook something on it, can its exhaust run under a window like a reg pellet stove is allowed...I'll call Mr Dusty/Rep on Monday but if you have any suggestions, I'm open. Thank you Sir
