"Kids & Stress" with Janet Sasson Edgette, PsyD
This program was presented to parents whose children are in kindergarten through eighth grade, along with educators. Dr. Janet Edgette addressed the stress being seen in young children and adolescents, both nationally and locally.
We discussed ways that families and educators can foster resiliency and guide young people toward healthy ways to cope with stress, rather than experimenting with substances, or engaging in other risk-taking behaviors.
This program was hosted and funded by the Great Valley School District, Malvern, PA.

We have seen dramatic changes in addictive substances over time. Fentanyl has devastated our region, “tranq” (xylazine) use has escalated, THC potency has transformed cannabis, and poly-substance use is much more common. This program addresses the trends being seen by behavioral health professionals and experienced by people in recovery, and we explore community-based efforts, including harm re...

Now more than ever, technology plays a vital role in all our lives. It keeps us connected and can educate, illuminate and entertain. With increased use, kids can develop an unhealthy dependence on tech as an escape or way to avoid life’s challenges. Gaming, social media, and streaming entertainment can be fun and relaxing, but moderation can easily slide toward dependence. We provided strategie...

I really want to appreciate Doctor Salami on his UA-cam channel for curing my herpes. All thanks to him.contact him if you suffer from any kind of illness
Kevin, the reason why I love your video Pleasure Unwoven is you really hit the mark on what addict is and how it feels for individuals who suffer and the families who don't understand what we are experiencing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Thank you Kevin for giving so freely of your life's work. I use it with families so very much.
a friend of mine in recovery sent me an original video of his. so i found this, from that video. thanks ^-^
imagine this guy bien a doc;)
imagine watching this for an hour
30 minutes on 2x speed 🤷🏾♀️
Dr. McCauley. I've been following you and your studies since 2010. I thank God for your resolve and disseminating the core truths of addiction to the lay masses. You speak of AA in particular when it comes to the fellowships. Please sir if you are dedicated in clarifying the confusion surrounding addiction and the disease model, I would have to ask you to not tread on Dr. Silkworth's work when you speak of craving. What you call craving, the big book describes as a mental obsession. What the big book, particularly Dr. Silkworth's letters describe as craving is a physical component that compounds the mental disorder thus making it an illness. Not to mention the spiritual malady that drives the nails into the coffin of sobriety. Once I START I can't stop (craving). Once I stop I can't stay stopped (mental obsession). Mental obsession is the thing that has you up all night saying that I can just do one. The most insane thing I will ever do in my addiction is to pick up a drink when there is absolutely no substance in my system whatsoever. That is not craving. That is the insanity of alcoholism/addiction, stone cold sober. No disrespect to you Dr. McCauley but this is my life you are talking about........... As well as yours. Thanks for your unyielding service.
I have to tell the patients that glutamate is not red and dopamine is not green
I really enjoyed Memo to self, Pleasure Unwoven seemed like a very long Toyota commercial.
Great talk!
Why was "Pleasure Unwoven" removed from UA-cam? I share that.
Thanks for your note. I'm not sure why it was removed, since it was available just last week. It isn't ideal, but there's another link where you can watch the film in parts, starting here: ua-cam.com/video/ekDFv7TTZ4I/v-deo.html
Excellent!
