​@@Velographerpro riders are actually built differently. It always amazes me how hard they hit the deck, yet almost always get up brush themselves off and keep riding. Hope the spectator is OK though.

Spectator was looked after by the ambos. All the fallen riders came past a bit later with cuts and bruises but no ambulance required

The point is not to assume every girl you see on a bike is in it only because her partner is and that her partner buys her bikes etc. By default you should assume every person (male or female) is an independent human and can buy their own things. Otherwise it's condescending, to say the least.

@@Velographer Tuesdays & Thursdays 5.20am/5.30am. Easier rides on Wednesday and Friday. Longer rides on Saturday. We also do a Christmas ride where everyone turns up in "Christmas" gear. The Tour de Blend usually takes place 1 or 2 weeks before the Christmas ride (been happening for 10 years). Got some videos over on my channel.

Cadence is a personal thing. You need a lot of miles in your legs to be comfortable with high cadence. You will feel what is best for you. Always a good idea to incorporate high cadence in training.

@ have done high cadence for the last two years since getting back on the bike. I’ll see how dropping cadence feels. But it’s true… high cadence gives me nowhere to go when the speed suddenly goes sup

There's not a lot of elevation in the city but if you head east towards the hills, there's an abundance.
