Reacting to Reactors Reacting does exactly that: entertain you by examining UA-cam reactors and their reactions to some of your favorite songs. Do they get it? Did they miss important sections? The main goal of this channel is to catch the moment others fall in love with music we already love.
I do not profess to be someone who catches bars, as a matter of fact, many go over my head. What's important to us is how a song makes us feel, right? I've sung the wrong lyrics to songs for DECADES. Sometime I find out the meaning to a song well after having loved the song for years. None of this really matters to us, we feel songs more than listen to them.

Electric Light Orchestra - Don't Bring Me Down REACTION!!! | reacting to reactors reacting
In this video, reacting to reactors reacting reacts to ELO's 1979 hit, Don't Bring Me Down.
From wiki: "Don't Bring Me Down" is the ninth and final track on the English rock band the Electric Light Orchestra's 1979 album Discovery. It is their highest-charting hit in the United States to date.
It's a great big galloping ball of distortion. I wrote it at the last minute, 'cause I felt there weren't enough loud ones on the album. This was just what I was after.
- Discovery remaster (2001), Jeff Lynne
"Don't Bring Me Down" is the band's second-highest-charting hit in the UK, where it peaked at number 3, and their biggest hit in the United States, peaking at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also charted well in Canada (number 1) and Australia (number 6). This was the first single by ELO not to include a string section. Engineer Reinhold Mack claims that this was his idea, after Lynne did not know what they should record next, and that he encouraged Lynne to "just boogie out for a night."
The drum track is in fact a tape loop, coming from "On the Run" looped and slowed down and then sped up; Mack recalls that Bevan was not interested in joining in the jam session that helped create the song; Mack decided to use a drum loop, and Lynne asked Mack to change the speed of the loop tape. After developing the drum tape loop, Lynne composed the music on a piano and then developed the lyrics about a girl who thought herself better than her boyfriend. The instruments do not include strings. Lynne said "This was the first song I did without any strings. It was exciting to work with them when we started, but [after] six albums, I got fed up with them. There was also trouble with the unions. They’d stop playing before the end of the song if the end of the hour was approaching. Now they aren’t so rude since there are samplers and everything."
The song ends with the sound of a door slamming. According to producer Jeff Lynne, this was a metal fire door at Musicland Studios where the song was recorded.
The song was dedicated to the NASA Skylab space station, which re-entered the Earth's atmosphere and burned up over the Indian Ocean and Western Australia on 11 July 1979.
On 4 November 2007, Lynne was awarded a BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc) Million-Air certificate for "Don't Bring Me Down" for the song having reached two million airplays.

I enjoyed this so much watching you both enjoy this. Do mor!!
LOVE this. Dated, probably, yes, but horseshoe theory means it's come back round into retrocool. Fact.
Superb song. Definitely in my top 5. That whole album was one of their best, (ignoring their first few as they are always the best).
For goodness sake shut that girl up, let us hear the song.
I SO agree with you 100%! I’ve been frustrated many times when I’ve been listening to a Song I knew very well and all the key points that I actually want to hear and see their reaction - but I don’t, because they spoke over that part - or even paused it which can be worse! It sometimes happens when they pause it, because there’s often a point where a certain piece or feeling is lost due to the pause. I really think Reactions should be done AFTER the Song has been completed on first hearing for EXACTLY the reasons you mention. So happy someone else sees it the way I do! Thanks for sharing.
I am just getting vibes that she's a 'squeeze everything you can from your ex's type. It's an odd reaction to this song. It's not a cheerful uplifting empowering song, it's a tragic song.
Appreciate all the Level 42 stuff! Grew up with 42 since a kid. One of my first cassettes was Standing in the Light, as a 6 year old.
Biased - love not only this song, but Jay and Amber too 10/10 🥰❤🥰❤🥰
3 years too late, but big 43 fan! Love your enthusiasm!
You making a video watching someone else react is a bit weird. So I'm watching you while you're watching another person reacting to the video.😂
This song is a brilliant dad song
In my opinion, this is one of the greatest songs I have ever heard. Why? Because the lyrics and music resonate with the imagination. Level 42 is so underrated here in America.
Is "Cancel" or "Cancel Culture" what you were thinking of?
Woowww...i have watched both reactions...i have always loved Level 42...but recently i have been paying closer attention to 'something about you'.. i love everything about this...lyrics...arrangement...video....i love your emotion as you reviewed this....the part where you were wiping your eyes...i see the memories flooding back...❤ i am still waiting to see these guys live!...unfortunately all UK tickets seem sold out😢
i love you both. THis song is so tough.
Its beastie
It's the lyrics for me beyond the beautiful arrangement: ....Time makes lovers feel , like they 've got something real, but you and me , we know we've got nothing but time! - but time won't give me time!....
I'm so glad someone feels good music like I do.
the only thing about this video that isn't totally annoying on an extreme level is barbra
Dude. Ty for showing that bt song!!!!
This Song is a Chef D'Oeuvre,; it has everything in one song. Brad Delp voice had those Harmonies without almost distortion resulting in a so beautiful voice.
Brilliant!!!! Great idea, reacting to the reactors. Great points about the young reactors with a vast perspective.
I saw a Faith Hill rendition of "Love Child". It was about one and a half minute of the song and as you mentioned it was Divas Live. Diana Ross did not like her own performance in the show and stopped marketing the DVD and had everything online about that show taken down. Still now I think that they (unfrotunately) did a hell of a job burying that footage. Still in 2024 I try to find it just in case it emerges somewhere, just to download and keep it :)
Come on dude look at their age compared to your age you look like you and your late 40s they look like they're in their early thirties come on Earth Wind & Fire you expect them to remember to even listen to the Earth Wind and Fire yes us in our late ages but them what you mean you can't believe
I’m not sure how I ended up on this part of the internet but at least I found my generation lol
Thank you brother for your emotions as i get sweaty eyes with them because we lost so much with the passing of the 3 gone so far. Never hear them again alive is such a loss
Wat a band❤
2 of Level 42's songs are in my lifetime' top 10. Great band and Mark King is an awesome musician.
Going to see them again in November in London uk my 10th time at least
DMC, LL, and PE were all doing the Rap-Metal thing around the same time, and in some cases, before the Beasties dropped LTI. But it was the Beasties who took it to a whole other level. Being white helped their appeal to their mainline white audience, too. But imagine being a metalhead in the 80s, and popping LTI in the box or the walkman for the first time, and this song slams the n your eardrums for the first time. It changed everything for those of us who knew very little about rap at the time. For most white kids at the time, rap was like a weird little cousin that was trying to be cool, but the Beasties made rap listenable and cool for us metalheads back then. And R&S was the cut that made rap palatable to us back then. Fight for Your Right and No Sleep were good, but R&S brought us into a whole new reality.
I can remember when I first heard this song in the eighties and thought, hey we say Kiera Elaison in Church….
I’m sure Brad is a nice guy, but I can’t watch his reactions anymore. I don’t perceive him as having any affinity or feeling for music. All he wants to do is analyse the lyrics. He doesn’t connect with the voices (which is really important to me), the instruments, beat, arrangement or anything. Music, when it’s good, hits me deeply. All he does is try to work out what they’re saying 🙄 I don’t think he should be doing music reactions at all 😂 he should react to poetry or written works.
I had gone to Catholic school and had the Latin mass for the first half and then English. So the minute I heard this,I knew exactly what it was. I was thrilled that a prayer set to music was so popular. We sang it also. Ty scratches his head like that when he loves something and it gives him chills from his head to his toes. Thanks for your reaction Subscribing.
They just hit all the best notes dont they.
Cool, fun !! Enjoyed your reactions to reactors! Not seen this before! Obviously I know that music and gotta say that it held up well!! Wasn't my bag back in the day, but in 2024 still sounds good!!....
Listen to the best duet ever Barbra Streisand n Donna summer 1979. No more tears enough enough Barbra n Donna I call that the one two punch
She was before Whitney seline Adele Barbra the goat of music that’s why I am not impressed with Adele seline Whitney.
The greek prayer predates the 80s by at least a millennium. How, in the self-proclaimed most christian country on Earth, does one not know kyrie eleison? Have these people never been to church?
I may love those melancholic ballads from World Machine and Running in the Family most, but still put True Colours on top of the pile for it's uniqueness. Floating Life, Kansas City Milkman and Kouyate are my favorites from the album. Back when CDs were at their height, I scoured the internet for old stock after discovering True Colour was no longer in print. After several months, I finally found one and was more than happy to pay the considerably inflated price. Definitely was worth every cent...
Bro stop
She is most certainly not familiar with Barbra Streisand. At least at the end she acknowledged her voice. An understatement of just how incredible Barbra's voice and vocal range is. Our boy Barry having written this for her and singing background. Couldn't be any better.❤
I've been in your shoes, reacting emotionally to songs that are meaningful to me. Level 42's songs also have that very nostalgic quality since they are firmly planted in the 80s. I'm not normally a fan of reaction videos but it was nice to see your genuine emotions on display.
