TSER vs Infrared Heat Rejection
We briefly explain why it’s best to use the TSER (Total Solar Energy Rejection) when quoting a window films heat rejection performance over infrared rejection.
Australian sunlight comprises approximately of 53% infrared energy, 44% visible light and 3% UV.
So 95% IR rejection doesn’t mean 95% heat is blocked, it means only 95% of the 53% is blocked.

    You know a guy mastered his thing when he makes it look super simple and easy to do... That was really satisfying to watch, awesome job mate ! I was wondering... at approximatly which temperature should you set the heat gun at so it isn't too hot and let you have time to work the film out ? Any clue would be greatly appreciated !

    This topic is so inflammatory! All my research points to no issue applying a tiny film to a Subaru Forester sunroof. I’ve been refused by four local installers, plus the dealership, all stating the same BS (i.e. breach manufacturers advice, the glass will shatter). I’ve come to a conclusion that the local installers are inept & too lazy. Friggin wake up and supply the right service like TKO does in WA!

    I thought the glue /the surface to stick on the window is the one where the backing paper is. Here I can see the backing paper being peeled away from the top. So how does it stick, and if it is not there to protect the glue, what is the function of that backing paper? Could you explain about that pls?

    • @tkotinting1631
      @tkotinting1631 2 роки тому

      This is called a reverse rolling technique. The film has a backing sheet which protects the adhesive. Prior to installing we roll the film so the backing sheet is on the inside of the roll. Watch the video carefully just before I install the film. You’ll notice I peel a section of the backing sheet and wrap it around the roll. This is so when I roll out the film the backing sheet will automatically come off the film and end up on the back of the tint. I hope you understand as its a bit hard to explain.

    I just did my daughter's CrZ and It took me an hour to shrink it down because.....it was my first shrink. But it turned out fantastic. With my 135.00 roll ...@100 feet.....I will be able to do many cars. These tint places around here done lost their fuckin minds with pricing....blamed it on COVID but the fact is......the stuff they buy is online as well so I see their material costs.

    Boy looks like the master window tinter here needs to teach you a couple things put a white cloth glove on your left hand you won't feel the heat gun as much.... There's one tip and have a tornado effect with your heat gun swirl it.... You don't need to use a hard card you can use the white glove to shrink the fingers
