Welcome to my Vlog, now The Aberrant Gardener! Here, I will share my tricks, tips, and methods to maintaining a free or cheap garden that will fit any budget. Join me for story time, learn how I manage my garden and plants (even with kiddos), and watch me put ideas and products to the test to find out if they really DO work! Direct Sowing Tip: Which Seeds Do I Start Outdoors in the Garden?
Are you having a hard time deciding which seeds to start in your limited indoor seed-starting space, and which seeds to plant directly in your garden? I've got a simple tip that'll help newer gardeners to remember which seeds are best started outside- along with a few more "generalized" direct sowing tips!
Squash, sunflowers, corn, beans, peas, morning glories, cucumbers, melons, gourds, and more enjoy being started in the garden; along with carrots, radishes, beets, rutabaga, turnips, parsnips, kohlrabi, and other root crops. Sow your mass flowering beds (such as living annual hedge rows of zinnias and cosmos) outdoors, as well!

One of the mints I added this year is chocolate mint. Oh how I love this wonderful little mint! It makes an incredible tea, all on its own. It'll be a lovely candidate for drying for winter tea blends.
