Versailles Kentucky is the best place to live! 10 min from Lexington and Frankfort! 50 miles from Louisville! 20 miles from Georgetown! Small rich quiet town! In the middle of all the big cities

Next question is do you want to live in Cincinnati’s bastard child which unfortunately you can guess the locals and the locals adopted kids because they all think that they can claim something, next question would be are you into scenery which follows back up on the first can you afford to have scenery or would you like to have a homestead? Also another option the last question is why would you want to live in an overpriced place built, literally on the side of the next thing closest to a mountain a.k.a. Fort Mitchell And all of that don’t get me wrong born and raised in Kentucky love a lot of the things the scenery is unmatched in my opinion, but your top five places to live or number one Berea overpriced with no way to make that money unless you’re tied in somehow number two Fort Myers or Fort Mitchell sorry used to Floridaspeaking over talk text Fort Mitchell live on the side of the hill and an overpriced place kids want to come in and break into your cars or pay for private schools because you’re privileged white children get jumped by the natives just wondering allergies make it seem like you’re not out for Kentucky. I've been living in the high rockies of Colorado for the last 15 years. Beautiful, but as of late it's becoming VERY expensive. But anyway, I've been thinking about moving somewhere a little more slower paced and with more Christian values, but for my biggest concern, I have a question you may be able to answer as a fisherman. I prefer to live in rural areas (a bit of a disadvantage to myself because I'm a chef) and I love being in the forest and go on hikes regularly. I generally try to find trails that don't have a lot of traffic from other people so I can get some solitude and don't have leash restrictions so my dogs can run freely. How often do people encounter venomous snakes in the wild, and if I was hiking in the forests with my dogs off leash a few days a week, how likely are they to eventually get bitten?

I've lived in Kentucky all my life and one of the reasons I'm still here is the natural beauty. The main con for me is there are too many cloudy days, especially in the winter.

I zipped through your video. Did you mention anything at all about how it is cheaper to get yearly license plate tags in TN than it is KY? Did you mention that KY has the dreaded state income tax? Best scenario: live and work in TN near the KY state line; come to KY to buy groceries tax free.

You forgot to mention the curvy hilly narrow 1.5 lane roads, blind spots at intersections, no street lights in the dark black nights outside of city limits, the extra time it takes to get somewhere bc of the curves, hills, & blind spots, & the low paying jobs.

Love your list, we live in Fort Mitchell and my family is from Georgetown, and I attended Georgetown College. While I love Fort Mitchell, one does not get the Kentucky feel up here as it is so close to Cincinnati. This is great for work, museums, as well as sports, it has a more cosmopolitan feel than most of Kentucky. However for work, there is a lot of industry close by including all the work opportunities Cincinnati presents.

I would have mentioned the lack of jobs, regressive politics, lack of development and the generalized bullshit you will face if you're a member of any minority group whatsoever. It is pretty, though.

I guess is you like the liberal towns of central Kentucky then OK ... but you are missing a lot of smaller towns that are great places to live. All the town you listed are all within a few miles of each other ... what about Bowling Green? Murray? Paducah? Henderson? you know there is a western Kentucky too.

We moved from CO to KY seven years ago, and we'll never be going back. For a wide range of reasons, from the cost of living to ultra-progressive politics, it was time to move. The weather is a lot milder here than I was expecting. During the winter, I do miss the sun. It always seems to be gloomy, but there are not a lot of super cold, snowy days. On the positive side, the summer isn't too humid or too hot. The fall is simply my favorite time of year here. Kentucky has been a great state in which to raise our family, with very accommodating homeschooling laws. So we actually looked favorably on KY was far as educating our kids. We also got a lot more bang for our buck in KY when it comes to a home. We probably would have spent well over $500k for the same house in CO we got here at an affordable price with a pond to fish on too. By the way, your bookshelf has some great books by Sproul and Piper.

Ky native retiring to Hopkinsville Ky after 40 years in Atlanta - can’t wait to leave high cost living,crime, and traffic jams. Can travel over to Nashville if I miss the traffic

What this doesn’t tell you… the poverty. Living in a holler with a trailer is the way of life in most of Kentucky unless you live in one of those cities he mentioned. Nobody here goes to the derby because nobody here can really afford it. And just know when you go to the mom and pop shops, those people are still probably making $7.25 an hour. There’s very few selections of entertainment other than bars and wildlife.

Lexington is expensive, more expensive than Louisville, but a lot cleaner than Louisville.

Nice video. I live in Perryville, which is central Kentucky. It is a rural area, 1 1/2 hours from Louisville. 40 minutes from Lexington. I worked and drove to Lexington for a few years. Didn’t mind the drive.

Lexington's average home price last month was $302K. The winters are not much, I'm from Connecticut. Too darn hot in the summer. Your pros and cons are accurate and well done. I have been here for ten years. I would be interested in your take on the new buyer's side realtor agreements.

If your going to mention Richmond so much you should mention its sister Winchester ky same judges closer to Lexington, and far more affordable housing in Winchester not to mention half the traffic. You must have some real estate for sale in Danville its a small town that likes to act like a big town and theres more cops than criminals . There are way better places to live than what he picked, he should have said the 5 places i sale houses in or my favorite picks. Powell county jas the gorge and Whitley county has Cumberland falls and these are just a couple of attractions someone may be drawn towards in ky
