A Simple Aventure Story ,Sam Peckinpah,Mexico and The Wild Bunch.
The Wild Bunch is, without a doubt, the most magnificent western ever made. The cast was awesome!
I became a special effects man 35 years ago to do sequences like this. This was at a time when this wasn't seen every day and in every video game and tv show. It was special then, but now not so much.
Helluva director and Helluva actors and actresses 😮
Loved the Mexican music in this film wish u could buy it
PECKINPAH was a flawed genius. My favourite was Straw Dogs. Even though it was overshadowed by his other better known films
This _really_ should be titled *_An Excerpt from:_*_ A Simple Adventure Story: Sam Peckinpah, Mexico and The Wild Bunch_ just like the source it was originally culled from; Since Nick Redman's documentary-short _'A Simple Adventure Story...'_ is actually *40 minutes* (total running time) -- This is the 24mn special feature from _TWB_ home video platform. Where it's clearly labeled: _"An Excerpt from A Simple Adventure Story: Sam Peckinpah, Mexico and The Wild Bunch (__23:47__): documentarian Nick Redman compiles behind the scenes shots and raw footage to give us a different look at how the movie was made. There is also a visit to the Mexican locations Redman took in 2004."_ so there
Belle leçon de tapis roulant. Féliciations!
seen this film at least 20 times in my life
The wild bunch the man who would be king only movies i ever thought were worth staying awake to watch
Remember all those years ago on a Sunday afternoon queuing outside The Granada in Bedford waiting to see The Wild Bunch in 70mm , that huge screen did Sams cinema masterpiece TOTAL JUSTICE , A HUGE SCREEN FOR A HUGE WESTERN , the Best Western ever made , I came out that day changed on how I saw westerns for evermore , I have watched this film over & over again & will never get tired of this amazing film , it sets the bench mark forever for the western , The Wild Bunch will never die
Saludos desde parras coahuila México, cómo imaginar que está película fue grabada aquí en mi tierra, me doy cuenta de como era parras antes,si no es por está película ni me ubieras imaginado como era parras
Great film just rewatched it today a masterpiece of a western. So influential in screen violence. Tarantino is probably most influenced by this film and Peckinpah
!!!!Que genio ,q fue Sam Pequimpa ,q supo marcar el fin de una época ,del Western y el comienzo de otra época como la de Dellinger en EEUU !!!!!
My all time favorite movie
Q.L. Jones just died today, 7/8/22, he was one of the actors in the movie. The ending was pretty silly, in real life those four guys would have been shot dead in a few minutes.
Excellent. Thanks.
My maternal grandfather, a big western fan, negotiated with my parents for the better part of a week for them to permit me to see The Wild Bunch (1969) with him. I was 13 years-old. To my 13 year-old psyche the movie was terrific. I learned a few new concepts having seen that movie with Grandfather. What a time that was.
Thanks for bringing it all back home...........for the rest of us.
" Let's Go ! " ----------" Why Not ? " ----------4 words that said it all. Never in film history, have 4 words ever meant so much. it was time to go & get Angel , no matter what. It was time to " man up " -------MJL, 75 y/o
The best film ever made, & my all-time # 1 . At 75 y/o, & a lover of cinema all my life, I say it without equivocation : " Sam Peckinpah's , The Wild Bunch " is an out & out masterpiece. ------------------MJL
Hello dear sir, I totally agree with you, masterpiece of American cinema at all levels. We will no longer see cinema like that, disappointed by today's cinema. while waiting for the remake of mel Gibson. rest in peace Sam. you are incomparable. thank you for your work.

You can bet if they made it now it'd all be hokey and unrealistic filmed in south Africa to save money everything CGI from the crowds to the buildings to the bullet hits, like all those shit superhero avengers PG13 drivel they put out these days
Where can we see the full version
5:28 ... *correction* ... Angel: *"Mexico Lindo"* Lyle: *"I don't see nothin' so 'lindo' about it."* Tector: *"Just looks like more Texas far as I'm concerned"* Angel: *"you have no eyes!"*
My all-times all genres favorite...
Does someone know where the opening shots with the Bunch and the children were filmed? In Parras as well?
The Vietnam war inspired this film
One of my fave moments : Ah !...Los gringos otra vez .....Wha ' you wan '...? !
Wow you found it amazing place legendary film the final shootout the four horseman of the apocalypse bringing death and asking for an angel genius
I really enjoyed the humour and closeness of the characters. This was the first time I saw a lot of well used slow motion. Also liked the times when there is no speaking. You knew what they were thinking. way to go Sam.
"Let's go" "Why not?"
I remember seeing this extraordinary film in 1969, and it was the first time I had experienced "death" arriving in slow motion in any western. It was a watershed in western film making at the time.
Sam sure as hell isn't forgotten.
I have mixed feelings. The man himself is largely forgotten, due to his volatility, but not his influence on modern action cinema. Filmmakers like Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez, Martin Scorsese, John Woo, Ridley Scott, Terry Gilliam, Zack Snyder, Kathryn Bigelow, Taylor Sheridan and Michael Mann have been touched by the guy.
Great picture
Trop jolie
My favorite western period. Complex and a great adventure. I didn't know Germany ' s involvement in Mexico. 100 Rifles touch on Germany involvement in Mexico. I think it was banned from television at one time.
More british narration.
"Let's go." "Why not?" Four words have never meant so much. "WHY NOT?" I mean they're going to their deaths! Real men! Love it! And the montage ending of them all laughing is perfect.
That was an era when men were men..... and cows were scared shitless!
The loyalty these guys have is strong
I understood this film immediately----------& I identified with it, completely. " When you side with a man, you stay with him ! If you can't do that, you're like an animal -----you're finished ! We're finished ! All of us ! " -------------------The Theme of this film, & I understood it the very 1st time. -----------------------------------WolfSky9, 72 y/o
Along with the scene where Pike and Dutch argue, "What would you do in his place? He gave his word. " Gave his word to a railroad." "IT'S HIS WORD"
THE best movie ever made. I've seen this film at least 100 times, & it never--------ever------fails to move me like no other film before, or since. ----------Truthfully, only " Hell Or High Water" comes close to affecting me as did Sam Peckinpah's " The Wild Bunch". ------------WolfSky9, 72 y/o
hell you're everywhere
Sir - you really are 72, pleased to meet you, well, virtually
Absolutely, i was moved when i saw it at maybe 17... Had to see lt, own it 30, 40, 50 years later l never get tired of this masterpiece
This place still there ❓not change,if let be the tournament, make some money 💵 那個地方還有在嗎?何不拿來當旅遊景點👍
at 5:38 the line is "that's Mexico? it just looks like more of Texas to me!" by the late great Ben Johnson
Ah Mehico Lindo
you have no eyes.
"Ah, you have no eyes!"
i love this film.there was a chain-gang scene that ended up on the cutting room floor? what a cool director. kids; watch the coke and liquor or you'll be gone before you're truly appreciated. like Sam.
Such a damn.good film...
I saw it originally when I was in the Army '68, it changed how I saw myself as it showed me the actuality of honorable conduct, I never forgot the lesson!
I thought the film premiered in 1969.
@@Madbandit77 it did
@@boshwaggleboskolsson7905 I know that. I was just noting that the original poster was mistaken.😊
Ernest Borgnine proudly said it was the greatest western ever made. I saw it with a buddy when it came out and my main concern was getting in to the Swiss Cottage Odeon aged 15. Changed my life.
You put a big smile on my face! Great story! 😁
Fricking Wonderful! - This makes me so happy to find... My favorite western... Period...
An absolute Masterpiece , I had the privilege of seeing The Wild Bunch When it first came out at my local Granada Cinema in 70 mm , Breathtaking a once in a lifetime Cinema Experience certainly one of the greatest westerns ever made , would love to see a full uncut version .
What is the music? This video and music capture the experience of the mascaret so well.Super!
Far The Days Come Letter Box
no cgi fantastic movie
You don't need CGI when you have genius.
whats amazing is its a real place not created for the movie. and its still there wonderful.
