Great walk. Thanks John.

We did some of this walk last week so found this interesting. We started by train from Hope to Hathersage, followed your path up to Stannage Edge (amazing weather and views) once on top we then turned right along the top for a couple of miles and then back down. Took roads and footpaths back into Hathersage about 6 miles in total.

I admire your work but don't we pay our poll tax to get the council to do this!?

Very good Ken. I've walked that way from Waterhead academy into Piccaddilly gardens. It was overgrown.

Not allowed to clear the footpath ?? I heard it all now . Landowner has the responsibility to keep them clear !!!

Can anyone who lives in Ripponden give me more information on the village?

Ken I always like you videos , and you show me some little paths which I have missed over the years. I was wondering if you could look at what is happening at the top of rye fields drive uppermill there seems to be a lot fences being put up, and some of the paths seem to be blocked!!! Is this something you and your team look at. 😎😎

Made an error on the commentary it should be 12 villages 11 pubs 11 pints. Can you name the village and pub not mentioned?

This video does so much more towards getting the "!auora" of this abandoned place across than all those videos of urban explores filming each other "Blair Witch Project"-style. Sadly very few views, but a big "thumbs-up" from me.

This would have been a really good film were it not for the unnecessary and annoying background tract drowning out the music and atmosphere of the day. One of the best films otherwise.

I cried when i watched this as i now live in warrington and this was my walking area when i lived in wingates and i used to love this walk on sunny summer evenings. I have heard that this area is designated for a super industrial estate which if true would be totally and utterly devastating as this area was a big part of my childhood.
