Thanks for uploading this, been a while since I played this mod but I keep rethinking back on this scene.
Thanks! Have you played Glenmoril or Unslaad? I only ask since I know that quite a lot of people who've played Vigilant don't know that its only the first in a trilogy of mods.
@@swtorscrub3839 I have not played them but I have heard of them! I am currently waiting for Glenmoril to be completely finished so I can get the best experience for my first playthrough of it, and IIRC Unslaad is acutally the sequel to Glenmoril? So I'm jus waiting for now, will probably replay Vigilant and then Glenmoril and Unslaad when they are finished. Appreciate looking out though.

Honestly i love how badass vicn mods make the dragonborn seems (rightly so) he practically just killed and absorbed a version of himself who hunted down every dragon and dominated all who stood in his way
This "Dov-ah-kiin" is not our future self. Back in Atmora, there was a woman who was sacrificed to try and stop the eternal winter and/or Mora's influence covering Atmora, and she had a guardian. Unslaad is the dream of the Grey Owl, who dreams of Atmora. In this dream, the Grey Owl has recreated the sacrifice & her guardian as Austella & "Dov-ah-kiin", which you can see at Dragon's Peak. Why is it a "Dov-ah-kiin"? Well, to the Grey Owl the Dovahkiin is just the ultimate power fantasy, a unstoppable killing machine, hence the Dov-Ah-Kiin. It represents everything he wants to attain from us, & what he thinks we truly are. The the Trilogy story hammers in that we can be a catalyst for rebirth as well as destruction, that we be more than a power fantasy. That is the difference between us and the Grey Owl/Dov-ah-kiin. In short, the Dov-ah-kiin is a combination of the Grey Owl's concept of what you are as well as an echo of the guardian for the sacrifice to try and keep Atmora out of the ice and/or Mora's grasp.
Interesting, so in Vicn's lore Miraak isn't the first Dragonborn?
@@ravindunandirathna1600 Miraak is still the first dragonborn. Its not the case that the sacrifice's guardian in Atmora was a dragonborn, we don't really know anything about them. Its just that when the Grey Owl recreates the guardian in his dream, he changes the figure to include his perception of us, what a dragonborn is or should be.
"remember what you did in glenmoril? "
The Grey Owl doesn't actually do anything in Glenmoril. He doesn't make an appearance anywhere outside of the Quagmire vision of him as a child in Saarthal, and a figure that represents him in the piece of Saarthal inside Svartibrunnr. Orlando does do some things, but he's not been the Grey Owl for a loooong time by the events of Glenmoril.
That statement is more appropriate for Black owl tho
@@airlangpark6596it's easy to mix up the three owls, tbh all of them are assholes.
Did you play with god mode on? 🤔
Yep, looks like I accidentally left in on here. I played each fight in the trilogy a couple times to select the most "cinematic", or best looking one to upload. Must've forgotten to turn off god mode in the middle of retrying the boss again for this attempt.
Elder Wood means Atmora
This is far from over...
Did Vicn explain why we can beat future Dovahkiin? It's our future and much more badass self after all.
This is our "Dark Future", where we rebuilt the Blades, built an army, and hunted every dragon in existance, even betrayed Paarthurnax. Our title has two meanings: Dovahkiin - Dragonborn, and Dov Ah Kiin - Fated Dragon Slayer. He is the "simulated" version of us, who stayed true to the dragon nature, and valued power over everything else, and crushed everything and everyone who stood in his way. But it doesn't have to be like this. You don't have to kill Paarthurnax. You don't have to rebuild the Blades. You don't have to kill Uliss. YOU CAN doesn't have to mean YOU MUST. You are the Prisoner. You can say "MAYBE", when entire universe screams at you YOU MUST! If you truly are slave of fate, your journey cannot end in any other way than with Uliss' death. But by sparing her and coming so far, you proved you can be better than this. "The cycle of violence end here. We must be better than this!" - Kratos
@@grzegorzflorek5623and whats the difference between "NO" and "MAYBE"? Do you renounce your fate as a whole in "NO", while in "MAYBE" You still take it but you have more free will to chose what happens?
@@jamonyqueso6328 If a machine is programed to say: "I am not a machine!" over and over again, does it make it human? Or at least, not a machine? No, of course it doesn't. Whether it would say that is is, or it isn't a machine, wouldn't change a damn thing about it. When you enter Markarth for the first time, Margaret gets murdered. You can save her by killing her would be killer, but you'll be force-greeted by Eltrys into "Forsworn Conspiracy" quest. Whether to the question "will you save her?" your answer will be yes or no, it doesn't change the outcome in the grand scheme of things, the quest's result will be the same - guards killing Eltrys, and trying to arrest you. You can kill the guards, but then you'll get huge bounty in Markarth, with no option of surrendering and paying up - you go to Cidhna regardless, or live as a fugitive, KOS in Markarth. You can go to prison, escape with Madanach, or kill him. Either action helps murderous scumbags on one or another side of the conflict. Except when you'll say "maybe" to Eltrys' request, and decide not to involve yourself. Or, you don't have to do the House of Horrors quest, and serve Molag Bal. You are ordered to bring Lothrolf to the Altar, and unless you agree, you are trapped. But once You're out of the cage, he has no control over you. You can ignore the quest, or find and kill Lothrolf instead of delivering him, saying one big FU to Molag. YOU. DON'T. HAVE. TO. DO. ANYTHING! That's the power of "maybe". Yes or No are chains that bind you to the consequences of your choice. Only "maybe" offers you freedom.

Smuggler as Eternal Alliance Commander. Han Solo should take a note on this.
Hearing that music in that location, It makes me think of the ruins of Saarthal City after it was sacked by the snow elves. Seeing a once prosperous city now in ruins leaving Ahzidal consumed by darkness but also his deep hate for the snow elves. This was before he became a lich alright.
Okay... so I'm torn here. On the one hand I really can appreciate all the love, the effort, and the hard work the mod author puts into his work. That being said, there is something to be said about things that are simplistic. The storylines in his mods are... interesting... to say the least. As a result I'm torn between his really well crafted, fun, and epic boss fights... against story that is... pretty dark, grim, and depressing and extremely complex to the point you kind of have to read a guide to have an understanding of what's happening.
The esoteric story is the most fun part to me, it is like finding an ancient tome and deciphering it bit by bit. Incomprehensible at first, but highly intriguing. Vicn mods pulled me in with cool bosses, a nice dark aesthetic, hating Ja'zel, but it is the mysterious nature of the story that kept me playing. The mods have pushed me to read up on Elder Scrolls lore, which I dismissed at first but now count among the best fantasy lore out there.
Voodoo dolls are better to be left alone...

Are you going to play Beyond Reach as well? I am currently playing it and it is very ineresting in various ways. Some says that it is the best mod ever 😮
I have played Beyond Reach, & I have some mixed feelings about it. A lot of it was very good & a lot of fun. The final quest/segment in particular. However I have problems with its story, how the story is presented, & the errors it makes with certain parts of elder scrolls lore (the story of the Anuad, Anu, Padomay, & Nir) I appreciate the different direction they tried to take the story, but I think it failed on the execution in a way that makes it unsatisfying. Plus the ungodly amount of overly flowery & extremely vague exposition.
Okay 🙂 I am really enjoying it, the diversity in particular - factions and lots of quite interesting NPCs. This is something I miss in Vicn trilogy. I really like Vigilant, but the repetetivness in act 4 was somewhat tiring (mainly the soul shriven bosses). Beyond Reach has really great atmosphere in my opinion and its size is like half of Skyrim (maybe 3/4). For me it really feels like fresh air. PS: I am also very hyped about Beyond project, Skywind, Skyblivion and Apotheosis ❤
Haven't he been dealt with in Dragonborn Dlc?
Time travel, this is ahzidal before he became a lich
@@deadsoul7409 I call BS - look at his hands and feet, he's a lich already.
There is supposed to be another area that follows this boss fight that is not implemented yet, so its probably the case that this story in particular with Ahzidal isn't fully in the mod yet, so we can't say for sure. I mean, maybe we can make a guess that this is a "piece" of Ahzidal or his essence that's been brought into Svatrbrunnr like the piece of Jhunal the Gray in Coldharbour.
I'm not a fan of the "Aryenn is KINMUNE" thing.
Maybe this is just clone/replica?
who is Aryenn cause I'm out the loop again😅
@@sparta-lf4lv Queen Aryenn of Alinor, leader of 2nd Aldmeri Dominion, one of 3 playable factions in ESO. Unlike most of altmer of Summerset, she's not opposed to working with other races, which earned her quite a hatred from more radical extremists, called Veiled Heritance (their version of 4th era's Thalmor). In Michael Kirkbride's C0DA she is stated to be KINMUNE, which is actually Eye of Magnus (or some sort of space mining drone from the future), but devs of ESO ignored that part when making her character in ESO. It caused a bit of beef between them and Kirkbride, and quite a division among the fans and players.
Could be aryenn after her death tho
@@deadsoul7409Yeah. Or clone made from her genetic material after her death. Or before. Not the actual Ayrenn herself. But this brings important questions: did Ayrenn knew anything about this? Who created all this? For what purpose? Did Veiled Heritance knew about this? Someone was spreading rumors about this back then.
Uliss is so cute 😊. I really enjoyed Unslaad ❤
Is this a mod?
Yes, this is the quest mod Glenmoril. Its the 2nd in a trilogy of quest mods by Vicn that are all really wonderful: Vigilant, Glenmoril, & Unslaad. If you do decide to check them out, make sure to download the English translations for each, as the mods were all made in Japanese. Glenmoril is still a work in progress. I know its strange for the middle chapter of the story to be finished after the final one, but thats just how development went down. When Glenmoril is finished, the english translators will begin hiring voice actors to voice the whole trilogy.
@@swtorscrub3839 nice though sadly I can only play on ps 4 or PS5 vr Skyrim idk how to get mods on them lol tho I definitely would do the mod where you can become a dragon
Why is this so weirdly esoteric?
I guess this is just how Vicn likes to write & present his story.
Scab is the coolest part of the mod 5:42 this is probably the most badass phrase i ever heard in my life😂
I think I understand what Ja'bal is trying to say. He can't explain the situation to us clearly, because then Hermaeus would adjust his strategy regarding us. So he gives us hints, hoping we'll understand when the opportunity for "betrayal" appears.
Scab is such an eloquent speaker.
True, I was impressed with his vocabulary upon our first meeting. Sort of...
Oh no watch out theres a bomb on your back!!

Lol ya. I intentionally keep favor at 0% since I find the abilities you gain from high favor with Shor to be annoying. But I still want the roleplay & animation of praying so I keep the mod, "Wintersun".
THESE 100.000.000 MODS ARE WORTH IT AND UR VIKING LIKE CHARACTER LOOKS SO COOL AND THE HELMET ANIMATION AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Thanks! The helmet is from full_inu's dark souls armor packs with edited textures, the "millwood knight's helmet". The helmet removing animation is from the "Read the Room" mod.
Not so tough without your precious Eyes and cheap one shot now do you? I really don't understand this guy He loved us, and his attempt to make us knee deep in hatred, despair and rage against him is how he show his affection? And from what i get, all of it because he believed we have so much potential (and it allows us to enter Svartibrunnr) For everything that he did, unending suffering awaits in Soul Cairn
From what I've read on Reddit, he was indoctrinated very early in his life by Hermaeus Mora and Owls. He went a bit crazy, he followed the orders, but subconsciously hated what was done to him, and tried to sabotage their efforts on numerous tiny ways. Herma was frustrated with this, but allowed it to happen, because despite everything, Ja'zel still ultimately served his purpose. He was a failed Chick, but still useful. After all, as has been so frequently said, only the love of the bloodthirsty can lead us to heaven (ascension/chim/Amaranth), and what's better way to make Dragonborn bloodthirsty enough to ruthlessly want to kill someone, than to kill everyone he cared for, and give him someone despisable to vent his all his pain and hatred on? That's Ja'zel role. A sacrificial lamb (or Judas), so we could take another (crucial) step towards Mora's goal.
Ja'zel, like said in the other comment, was a creation that resulted from Orlando's sick experimentation. After Ja'zeri was beheaded by the Alessians, Orlando stuck the head back on there, and Ja'zeri then formed an alternate maternal personality named Ja'zel which would nurture and protect Ja'zeri. This is the bedrock for Ja'zel's warped sense of "parenthood" & "caring for their child". Ja'zel wants revenge against the Owls, so they formed the witch hunters, to find the Egg that the Owls want so badly and give it guidance (so it has the ability to make its own choices) before the Egg can be used by Owls for their purposes. What is an Egg? It is someone who has the potential to one day possibly achieve Chim. Who are the only two people who've achieved Chim before? Tiber Septim & Vivec. Ja'zel seems to be modeling his "How-To-Chim Guide" off of Tiber Septim, hence the speech he gives at the beginning of this video about how much he admires Tiber Septim's brutality. Tiber Septim killed thousands upon thousands of people, betrayed and killed his commander, betrayed and killed his closest friends and stuck their souls inside Numidium so he could send it to kill thousands upon thousands of Altmer on Summerset. He was a brutal killer with no mercy or morals. He, as Vivec states, "reached heaven through violence". Ja'zel seems to be performing an inverse Tiber Septim on you: instead of pushing you to commit so many horrible things on others like Tiber, he pushes it so that a bunch of horrible things happen to you (blood curse, killing "witches", Lalanoah, etc) to "toughen up the egg". All of this is so that Ja'zel can get his revenge on the Owls when you are now strong enough with all the blood curses to resist the Black Owl from controlling you when you achieve Chim, so that you are able to make your own free choice for once and make things right. (The story until now has almost all been pre-written by the Black Owl)
@@swtorscrub3839this is the type of lore I've been hunting for so long🖖
Damn, i really didn't expect just how detailed the answer from both of you. I've always thought all Ja'zel did was following the order from his higher ups due to him being brainwashed at such young age. When you guys explained what the Egg means, now i understand why he did all of those heinous shit. He tried to toughen LDB so he can exact his vengeance against the owls through LDB. Boltzmer tried to warn LDB, and right now Azura told LDB how to win against them I'm not familiar with elder scroll lores, so i searched up Tiber Septim and i discovered how wild this dude is. He control the ES equivalent of gundam which is totally unstoppable, and dude used it to absolutely decimates anyone that oppose him, and that also includes neutral party Now, i kinda feel sorry for Ja'zel after reading the explanations, but it's hard to sympathize when you remember all of crap he had done to you, even if his intention is good in extremely twisted way.
@@coolchaserz After everything what happened to Ja'zel (and previously to Ja'zerri), I can't blame him for going crazy. Just imagine getting your head chopped off as a kid, and then someone put it back, and put you into indoctrinating cult.
So he's technically molag bal from the previous kalpa?
Ya, the Ruddy Man here in Glenmoril seems to be some sort of echo from the previous kalpa that has been caught up in Mnemoli's un-time net. Something that once was or could have been in terms of the Molag Bal we have in this kalpa.
I always tought that Rudddy Man is child of Molag and Vivec like City Face, ec...
@@SharmatLorkhan Oh ya the Ruddy Man is definitely born from Vivec & Molag Bal's union, he mentions Vivec a lot in Glenmoril. Its just a popular thought that the Ruddy Man, given his nature as a shelled creature that resembles the dreugh, that is born from Molag, is an echo of Molag from Lyg when he was the king of the dreugh, and presumably a dreugh himself or dreugh-related. Molag Bal actually mentions his once being the dreugh king as true in Vigilant during Marukh's memory. You're able as Marukh to say that Molag Bal seems to look like he was once a mortal, and he says that was the case, but he doesn't remember who he was when he was a mortal. Which is a reference to him being king of the dreugh in Lyg, a previous(?) kalpa.
Yes, yes, I know 😊. Just a couple of days before I watched video about Molag and his previous life. It is crazy to see him like this (dreugh form) 😮😮😮 Btw. dont want to spoiler, but I finished that finished part of Unslaad 😅. Dreughs are there.
