Span panel and drive installation on a 150 amp service
Переглядів 508Рік тому
Installition of a Span electrical panel in a Seattle home. Service was rated at 150 amps If this was before Span we would have needed to dig a trench to the nearest utility transformer and run new wires etc This would have cost cost tens of thousands. Span saves you the cost and headaches associated with service changes. #span @span_io

Walk through of a recent installation. We converted a trational 80% gas furnace over to a Mitsubishi Hyper Heat System PVA-A30AA7 Indoor Outdoor PUZ-HA30NKA Outdoor unit. Now the home is no longer burning natural gas as a heat source is all electric. Conversion of a old oil furnace to Mitsubishi Hyper Heat heat pump. Oil heat costs several times more than a heat pump. By upgrading to a heat pump the client is saving money / doesn’t burn fossil fuels / free air conditioning in the summer. I wish I could afford all the Packout stuff, at $200 a 3 drawer I said fuck it and put wood shelves in my van for now. At some point I will do something similar
wrong hole saw ur only burning up the wood and the hole saw , never use bi-metal for wood
The Milwaukee Bi metal bits and hole saws are white. This was a BIG HAWG™ with Carbide Teeth which is red.

Put moth balls in there
Put a piece of a bar of Irish spring soap in there. It will keep the ants out. It has to be Irish spring though.
They are using soybeans to make rubber now..
$$ Plus extra repairs $$$
Easy pro press!
I kept saying this and people are proud of there work its nuts

Can I use the Mueller fittings on a compressor discharge line? I cant find anything regarding temperature limits.
@@oldognotricks I believe you can We’ve used RLS fittings on them no problem
@@energytechnologies206 thank you!
Looks good, what do you use to power it? Air or co2 does it use co2 to come back down or does gravity come back.
It is powered of a small CO2 tank that is available at any HVAC / Welding / Homebrew store. Gravity brings it down so if there is no weight on it, the piston takes linger to lower.
What is the best thermostat to go with the intelli heat you would go with?
How do you still feel about them 2 years later? I'm having problems finding RLS at my local suppliers in Michigan
Am I reading the install correct, you need 208/240 to the outdoor unit but also need 208/240 run to the indoor intelli coil?
You only run 208/240 to the outdoor unit. From the OD unit you back feed the coil and the other components with 208/240. We use South Wire tray cable
fun fact if i go ductless im still not calling you. and i can do one hell of a better job installing a window unit than that. to the point a burgler is going to go to a different window he can just break.
@@DabblelyDiddly we installed the mini split. We decommissioned the window shake installed years earlier by someone else
What are you doing? Is this just to up charge the customer so you can charge for your press tool. Seems like this is completely unnecessary since you still have a flare fitting
Bro never heard of a mini split
What is the difference with 2674-22P?
I’m confused at the question?
@@energytechnologies206 what is the difference between the model i gave you short throw press toool with viega pureflow jaws and the one you have here in this video?
That is amazing
So you can use Viega jaws to press maxpro refrigerant fittings?
Theoretically on 2 sizes. But in general all of the jaws look the same for ACR VS water so the sizes don't match.
But do they press to the same PSI rating? I thought jaws for plumbing only press to 200 PSI while refrigeration jaws press to 700 PSI
So far its about availability, Inn UK im using connex B Maxi pro because i can buy the everywhere, and they force customners to use crappy Rothenberger ....
Is that the dyal seal jaw
What should I get for the Milwaukee? I already have the Milwaukee M18 press tool what ones work on the m18
All of the fitting makers make jaws for that took
I’m waiting for Bluetooth mini splits. Line sets are a pain lol
One day lol
I’ve cut out those crummy Zoom Lock push to connect fittings installed by other companies/technicians due to leaks too many times. Would never recommend use/them them. I’m interested in the press fittings though.
You mean shark bites? Lol
@@TCut-m4g nope Zoom Lock. Never had to cut out a Sharkbite plumbing fitting. Have 2 shark bites installed in my house going on 10 years without issue.
@energytechnologies206 How much does it cost and how much approximate energy savings this setup brings vs using Mitsu Hyper?
I’m a lead residential hvac installer and thinking about buying the zoom lock rls 1/4 to 7/8 is it still a good system to use??
RLS is still a very good system
Was there some kind of chemical on that last fitting you pressed ?
Nylog assembly lube. It is controversial to add. But lets face it most installers and techs are applying it to everything like Schredder valves etc before inserting.
Hoping manufacturers can get their prices down on these fittings! $75 for a 7/8-3/4 reducing coupling is really out to lunch.
You need to talk to your supplier that kind of fitting is around $27 at my local distributer
Supply House has them for $28 www.supplyhouse.com/RLS-RPC078-075-7-8-to-3-4-Refrigerant-Copper-Press-Reducer-Coupling
@@energytechnologies206 a lot of suppliers do not ship to Canada..i am stuck with paying crazy high prices here in Alberta.
Hi, can you give us an update on these? Which one do you prefer the most? Also, I would like to ask info about pricing. The Mueller fittings have 2 O-rings, so I imagine they are more expensive than the others. In Europe I can only see Conix Banninger actively on the market.
Even if you had to run a bypass from your provider and then run a new underground service to your home it would still be cheaper than that panel lol
What’s the point if it’s already without a torch. Serious question.
For refrigeration application which jaw kit is best? I recently purchased the zoomlock max jaw kit 24Kn, hopefully i made a smart decision. Let me know please.
the music...
thanks for the tips
You’re also a Tesla fan 👍
Waiting for Cyber truck for the parts truck
Great run down... Was looking for some help deciding which path to go. After hearing your thoughts on the double O-Ring... Sold
That's pretty cool feature
All that fiber glass
Zoomlock is nice until your doing commercial refrigeration and you got 400ft of copper with 75-80 fittings then I take brazing any day 10x faster
When you are ready to discuss a true comparison between the 3, please let me know. Your commentary is amateur at best.
I am open to any suggestions on how to make the video better. Or an update to it.
@energytechnologies206 I appreciate the opportunity to add some commentary. The MaxiPro fitting is sold all pver the world is in numerous way is superior to all other productd. -It does us a 3 point press method(you referred to as water press type) and this is the most widely used press type in the world for ACR, water, steam and games. It is used in all types of fittings (copper, stainless, carbon steel. -MaxiPro os clearly marked on each fitting with a high vis PINK logo- clearly identifying as an ACR fitting -MaxiPro is hard annealed copper which makes it more durable than a soft copper fitting that is easily damaged -MaxiPro is delivered in an airsealed/resealable bag similar to med gas fittings. This delivers a 100% contaminant free product (which is hugely important in our industry.....and unlike some of MaxiPro's competitors) -MaxiPro has a industry leading 15 year warranty -The MaxiPro fitting design was developed to emulate the length and size of a braze fitting. They offer standard and long radius fittings. Because they utilize a 3 point press, the length of their fitting does not increase like other products. Additionally, becuase they hydrofoil their fitting as opposed to bending it like others do with soft copper, the MaxiPro fitting is almost same size as brazed fittings that have been traditionally used. Hope this helps and I appreciate you openess to info.
@@matthatmaker4821 www.conexbanninger.com/uploads/files/June_4_2019_Press_Release.pdf Maxi pro Connex design is from 2019 RLS design is 2015 commercial availability. Maxi pro was sued by RLS for patent infringement and changed the design slightly.
@@matthatmaker4821 Maxi pro / Zoomlock max are derived in air tight packaging. RLS is in cardboard boxes. We haven't seen this as a real bonus if you will or a detractor in a sense because the packages are opened and put into Milwaukee pack out trays as soon as we take delivery of them. Yes the sealed packaging is probably a bonus in placed that are extremely humid to decrease oxidization in humid places like Florida .
Im done with metal shelves too how much round about this cost you?
