You should of just welded the rebar into your tire rather than use wire . Because by welding the rebar in your tire it wood be stronger

How many bags of concrete did you use to make that? (Trying to get an idea of the weight.)

Not good for salt water. Over time a few things will happen, the salt water will dissolve the lime in the concrete and you will end with sand. Only galvanized fittings should be use. Salt water will waste away the metal.

  • @jakethetool698

The problem with galvanized hardware is that friction will rapidly wear the coating off. I learned that, the hard way, after making something similar, and losing 1,600lbs of concrete. I filled an 11 cubic foot mortar mixing pan with concrete, embedding a new, galvanized boat anchor into the concrete, leaving only the top of the shank protruding. Lasted a little more than a year, in salt water, with a 50ft houseboat tied to it, but my next attempt will use only stainless hardware. Luckily, I always set a 90lb fluke anchor, with 300lbs of chain, and 75ft lf rope as well, in a small bay that’s only 5ft deep, and check on the boat weekly.

Your video was really helpful but I'm curious, do you leave the frame on all the time or do you remove it intermittently? I'm hesitant to purchase this product and drill through my fairing just for the road trip I take every other year. My concern is that I will melt through any other universal ones, like the one Ogio makes. Do you have any suggestions?

tires float so you lose holding power .cut the tire off..I dezined for Navy seals and NASA and I've built at least 15 boats from gondolas, sail boats, power boats, skiffs plus restored about 15 antique vessels and one 1912 crackerbox jetboat a picture of on doesn't even exist on the internet , but when I test drove it in kings harbor and some old timers told me what it was..it caused people to scream and cheer like I was in a parade .....sorry I got carried away.........

Silicone is Acidic and will eat the metal. Real Silicone is wrong. If it has any silicone in it that stuff is acidic and the 100% silicone is very acidic and eats metal. I grew up working in a body shop and worked two years as a mechanics assistant. Never use silicone on raw metal. If you silicone a leak on your windshield, it will leak even worst within months the hole will be larger because the silicone eats metal. Replace the whole clip, replace the steering wheel harness or epoxy the slip back in. Never use silicone on bare metal, it is very acidic.

Excellent , thanks for the lesson . I was just looking at my 1996 Ford F150 , I unscrewed the casing around the steering wheel to see what was involved in replacing that turn signal assembly . Ha ha ha , I totally didn't think about the airbag . Holy shit that could have knocked me out . Does that old airbag even work ?

No need to remove steering wheel. However, Excellent Video. Lots of hard work, planning, and effort has gone into making this video. Thank you. Each time, after using using turn signal, when it clicked back to turn off signal, it would turn on my high beams, and I would have to turn those off. Ford Dealership and my trusted garage wanted to charge me $700 to replace that multi switch on my 2001 Expedition 5.4L (I love my truck), as they indicated it required dealing with the "Air Bag". I held off doing this for 4 years. I found this to be False.. as a mater of fact, it take 30 minutes to access. 1) Chock the weels to prevent them from rolling (you will be adjust the gear selector to several different settings (Park, R, , N,Drive D1, 2). 2) Pull the _ Ground/Negative on the battery 3) Pull the /, \ (upside down U-panel below the Instrument cluster, over and running beside the steering wheel column. (only 4 clips hold that in place. 4) Remove the 3 screws (the 4th hole is to access the Ignition switch clip) to the cowling. 5) With Pliers, gently turn the steering wheel tilt, to unscrew and remove from the column. This will allow you to remove the bottom left side of the cowling. 6)Under the ignition cylinder, You can now see the little hole for the ignition cylinder. With the Ingnition key inserted (No battery connected so it won't start), Insert a small screw driver in the little hole to disengage the pin/lock., and gently pull out the cylinder. 7) Now remove the left remainder of the cowling (top right). **Now you can easily see what where to work, and what needs to be done :)** 8) Two Torx screws hold the Multi-switch to the steering column. Remove those. 9) The hardest part, unplugging the wire harness from that multiswitch. Even with the clips on both sides pulled up, I had to use a screw driver to try and pry it out, and broke apart the old switch. There must be a better way, but I got it done. 10) insert plugs from wire harness to multi-switch and reverse for the install.

The holes and slots in the discs are there for the use of ceramic pads. You cannot and should not use ceramic pads on solid discs/rotors.

Very helpful. Closeups of parts allowed me to identify the correct rubber boots at parts store. For those who are expecting to remove rotor by taking off bearing, remember that this video is about a 4wd truck. The rotor simply slips off (like a large five holed washer) once the wheel and caliper are removed. Thanks for posting it.
