This Small Wrist
United States
Приєднався 13 гру 2016
This is a channel about finding watches, primarily Casio watches, that fit my small wrist. While most watches fit an average size wrist, not a lot of attention is given to watches that favor smaller wrists. So I wanted to share my experience with the Casio watches I've bought and maybe help those who have smaller wrists and are looking for nice fitting watches.
Casio's Best Pro Trek. Period. (Casio PRW-35 Review)
There isn't much online about Casio's Pro Trek line, which is too bad, so I wanted to talk about the Pro Trek PRW-35, which I think is the best Pro Trek watch that Casio currently makes. The display on the watch is great, but more importantly, the dimensions of the watch are perfect for those with average to small wrists. While the watch is not easily available in the US, if you can get one shipped from Japan, it's a great watch to get for everyday and outdoor use.

Can Guys Wear Women's Casio Watches?
Переглядів 1,1 тис.14 днів тому
So as a guy with a small wrist (6.25 inches around), sometimes the Casio selection, particularly in the G-Shock lineup, can be limited. Often, I end up looking at and buying Casios that are marketed toward women. And frankly, I think that's okay. So I wanted to share my thoughts on wearing women's Casios as a guy.

The Perfect Casio Work Watch? (Casio EFR-S107D Review)
What I hate about Casio watches is that I can not stop buying more of them
Good purchase - they stopped making them at end of 2024 and is an absolute classic - superb watch ❤
I have 3 of the GM s2100. They fit well on my 6.5 inch wrist.
See watch in person before buying solves the problem. If people know what it looks like then decide to buy means no problem right? Don't like the display just don't buy it. Actually I love negative backlight. My old Casio from 15 years ago was a yellow negative backlight babyG. When done well the time is perfectly visible but blends in and from a distance invisible which is exactly what I like about it. It's perfect. I never bought another because they stopped doing the negative backlight for that face style 😂. I thought to myself why? I have a fully yellow watch or baby pink watch then black digital numbers? Totally ruins the esthetic. Surely they can do it more seamless so it's still in the same gradient of color. They just went lazy and go ok black or whatever the colors called. Today I finally bought a new babyG with a different face style to the one I already have. Bought it because love that negative backlight, totally blends in seamless and I don't really need the digital time display because it has analogue clock hands. I just want my watch in the same gradient. It's too awkward to have soft colors then a stark strong digital display. Hard to get a perfect watch just gotta keep hunting. I want more different style watch face but actually passed on them because I couldn't get them in negative backlight. 😬 They should do 2 versions to please everyone.
Can you share the watch case link ?
How does the Casio g shock ga-2100 sit on your wrist? Can you please put up a review for the casioak?
I am glad this watch is reviewed. I wish to buy one until my analog Protrek (PRW-50Y) is broken. Unfortunately that takes quite a long time. I just find digitial watch better with digital display only.
Meu polso é piqueno 😂
😢😢😢😢😢
Had this watch for about 6 months and hasn't been off my wrist. Been on holiday swimming in the sea, regular swimming and bathing, no need to wear anything else. Bought a 2nd one just before they were discontinued and have kept it in the box 😊
I have a PRW-3100YB and the size is fine, but it always tends to roll away, to the ulnar.
A review without the actual watch in the video... pointless
Wearing it right now. A TRUE CLASSIC! 5:25 If you want the Blue...go for the F-105! Don't Worry....that one has a good WR!
Are you able to focus on your work given that you’re so focused on your watch?
I am. 😆
These watches, prw-35 AND prw-30 are little gems, mostly unknown to the general public. But for the ones who find them, remain here.
These Pro Treks are great. They don't get a lot of publicity, but so practical if you can find the right size.
Nice review. Can you share the link to the strap please?
I don't have a link, but you can search for the Barton Elite Silicone in black.
Thank you Buddy! 🤜🏼💥🤛🏼@@thissmallwrist
I've the PRW-3500 and for the past three years coupled with a Borealis rubber strap and it's my go -to more often than not. So legible, not as big on the wrist as one would think. With the different strap, amazing comfort and durability.
Good to know. I think that may be too large for my wrist, but glad to hear others enjoy the Pro Trek line.
the BIGGGG NUMBER, i need it 😍😍😍
It's nice and so easy to read.
I’m curious about that one too but they don’t sell it in the USA.
I had to order it on Amazon, shipped from Japan. Might be too small for your wrist size, but great for my small wrist. Love the legibility.
I got two of these. You're right. This is the best Casio ever.
It's great. 😄
Great watch! Thank you for the review. My gripe with the PRW-35 is plastic lugs, don't trust them in the long term... And the PRW-30 is discontinued, but one can still get the metal lugs with the PRG-30 (which you have).
Good to know about the lugs. I haven't had any issues yet, but good to know that the parts from the PRG-30 could be used on the PRW-35.
@@OverCowboy I too was a bit skeptical at first but I've had the prw 35 for over a year and had no issues with the lugs.
@ I've seen the watch and it's great, it's just that I try to use these for a long time, and the strap fails first, so you change it, and these tiny holes in plastic that hold the bars start to deteriorate. I'm kind of tired of that so I'm looking to buy the next one with the steel lugs. also - if you really are climbing or mountaineering with these, they better be sturdy.
Thanks for making this video! What's your observations about the accuracy of the sensors on this one?
I can't speak to the accuracy since I hardly use those features. However, comfort-wise, it's great.
I go on a hike once every two months.. I was using SGW-400 (which has Altimeter, Barometer and Thermometer), but I upgraded to PRW-35 recently. Unfortunately, it has not been a ‘real’ upgrade (since I don’t find the use of Compass which PRW has and SGW doesn’t have). Also, I wish this had a step tracker which I find really useful during my treks. I’m surprised to hear that PRW-35 isn’t widely available in the US. I always find it listed on Amazon even though it’s surprisingly quite expensive compared to India where it can be bought for as low as $100 when on discount.
I, too, am waiting for the Pro Trek with a step tracker. Hopefully soon 😄
u should buy a1000dn-7 not a1000ma-7ef becouse in my opinion milanese bracelet looks so feminine, so i changed my bracelet with after market one.
I'm trying to stay away from that Milanese bracelet. I had one in the past and it doesn't feel right on my wrist. Not a lot of structure.
try W-217H-5AVDF , cheap and perfect
This Pro Trek has an altimeter/barometer, compass, thermometer, Multiband-6 and solar power. The W217H is a great watch (I have one, and also the B650WD which is the same watch but with a steel bracelet), but is a very different type of product, not a watch for hiking.
@@ge48421 agreed these are 2 very different products. but honestly one hardly uses the outdoor features. for $20 , one could replace W217H every year for 10 years. it has the most commonly used features also with big digits.
Thanks for the recommendation.
L2L is not 47mm. Its more. Measure again

None of the watches shown can be categorised as small or unisex by watch industry standards. If you want a small, but solid G-Shock, buy a DW-5600, remove the rubber bezel shell from the case and fit a nato strap with adapters. Four screws protude slightly and the buttons are now longer, but thats it. Now the watch is approximately 36 mm at its widest point and fit my 7,5 inch wrist just fine. The watch is still relatively shockproof and waterproof to 200 meters...
I have a 6.4-inch wrist, and it fits perfectly. My wrist is small but quite flat. Hope that helps.
had a gma s130 before check it out no baby g markings
Thanks for the recommendation
I have a "cherry" red version of this watch (BGW-104K, ICERC version). I got it from a guy in facebook marketplace here in Monterrey, México for $20dlls. Very good condition, and a very special, old and kinda forgotten watch. Cool video!
It's a great watch. I'm always on the lookout for cheap ones online.
I want this watch so bad, but its not available in my country India. I love the minimalist design
It's a great watch! Hope they bring it to your local market soon.
OK 21mm width of the strap... But how about measuring the lug length instead!!!! As it is less than 21mm.... So what size strap do I need to buy to replace the orginal strap??? 19mm? 18mm?
Since this watch was discontinued its value has shot up, I still prefer the F105W as an alternative to the F91W though
The F105W is a great watch too. I just like the extra water protection.
@thissmallwrist very true, that turquoise just doesn't quite do it for me
People worry too much. Unless something explicitly says women/"baby" on the dial, who cares. Wear it if it looks fits well and looks good
You commented on the difference in color from the strap to the case. The resins used by Casio for the two parts are not the same exact resin; the case is a hard resin, while the strap is somewhat softer and more flexible. As you pointed out, you got it used - this model's nearly two decades old, as far as I can tell with a little research. The case and strap were probably the same color when the watch was brand new, but over time, the resins aged and the colors diverged; not a lot, but enough to notice. I've even noticed color shifts with some watches between the strap and the strap keeper loop. It happens more often with light colors, especially white. BTW: if you're really not into the whole "Baby-G" branding, there are alternatives! If you shop around on Japanese retail sites, you can find new "g-shock mini" watches - yes, it's all lower-case. They're basically the same concept - smaller watch for smaller wrist - but without a brand name that's targeted specifically to females. I own the mini versions of the AWG-500 and the DW-6900 (in positive and negative LCD), and I've been hunting for the mini version of the DW-5600 but haven't found one either new or used but in good condition. The AWG-500 analogue is nearly the same size as the original, but the DW-6900 analogue is noticeably smaller. Like the Baby-G watches, most have a water resistance of only 10 BAR instead of 20 for a standard G-Shock. There's also an older collection of watches by Casio called "Club G" which are even smaller than most Baby-G watches and were marketed more towards kids; I recently scored a used one and had to replace the battery in it, but it's still acting a little glitchy with the new battery in it (the display LCDs dim and brighten semi-randomly, but it will brighten when you press any of the buttons).
I put mine on a grey Barton tropical style strap. I am so fond of this little watch. Nice review man.
Nice. I haven't thought about changing the strap, but it would be interesting to do.
Size not mwtter...but i want a screw crown !!! Not a shitty push pull ( like fake 2$ chinese bad fakes)
just discovered your channel bro, im loving the content! Recently got into watches, and I wanted to ask your recommendations for a beater watch (gym, beach, ocean, sauna, etc)
Thanks for finding the channel. I like the F105W or W86. Cheap and good light.
I only have unisex and women’s watches because virtually all men’s watches are too big for my tiny wrists.
I’ve a 6” wrist and I’ve a dozen G Shocks (a mix of small sized ones like AW500 and the huge ones like GD400). Somehow I don’t feel uncomfortable wearing even the big ones. I bought a Casio Tank LTP-V007L, a ladies watch which looked so small on my wrist that I gifted it to my wife 10 seconds later ! If you’d like to own a Casio with MIP display, get a GBD-200 which is not a big watch and it comes with all bells and whistles (step counter, Bluetooth, Notifications etc..). I bet you’ll fall in love with the display !
Thanks for the recommendation. I'd like to get one with a MIP display, but am worried the Move series is too large.
why not, ppl wear 30mm case watches back to 1940-1970
Were their wrist sizes also smaller back then?
6:20 I bought some Chinese digitals with negative displays and they are more legible than my negative Casios. C'mon Casio, step up!
I bought a lady's Citizen diver which is a smaller model of my diver for my grandkid, he told me he wasn't trans and wanted a man's watch
😆
Yes! Wonen's all day long! No one cares or asks.
Grab with your pointer the upper part of the circle where the white arrow is and then use your thumb for the light. Also, this watch has the "Auto Illumination" function --> it lights up by itself when you are in a dark room and try to see the time by moving your hand towards your face. To activate it, go to the "time and date" panel and then keep pressing the light button for a few seconds until a small LT symbol shows up at the bottom left corner. Do the same thing to deactivate it.
The auto light feature is nice. I ended up setting that up.
@@thissmallwristSame.
Even with men's watches I think it depends on what you wear them with and how they fit you. Most watches are pretty sexless in design. The only thing that really makes them for women is size.
I've seen men with wide wrists wear the tiniest watches, I'm talking 24mm...And women with really small wrists wearing alarm clock sized watches. The only real limitation is the watch band, but even that can be changed.
One of the issues with "is this watch too big" posts is that people use a close up picture made with the wide angle lens on their phone. There is no good way to judge how a watch looks on a wrist when you do that. I don't care whether someone at Casio thinks that a watch is for women, if I like it I wear it.
lug to lug wise, despite you mentioning that it "feels small", actually it looks visually appealing and proportioned with your wrist size.
I still find it a bit small, especially for the dive style.
really hope Casio goes non-binary
