This Small Wrist
United States
Приєднався 13 гру 2016
This is a channel about finding watches, primarily Casio watches, that fit my small wrist. While most watches fit an average size wrist, not a lot of attention is given to watches that favor smaller wrists. So I wanted to share my experience with the Casio watches I've bought and maybe help those who have smaller wrists and are looking for nice fitting watches.
This Casio G-Shock is Not Just For Women (Casio GMA-S2100 Review)
While the traditional Casioak watch (GA-2100) wears smaller than its dimensions, it was just a little too big for my wrist. So I looked around and found a smaller Casioak, the GMA-S2100. This model is mostly marketed toward women, but it's just a little smaller than the GA-2100. I wanted to share my thoughts on this watch as someone with a small wrist. And yes, I bought the all pink watch because it was the best one I could get for the price. Hopefully this video helps others who are looking for a smaller Casioak.

G-Shocks and Other Watches I Wish Casio Would Make (as a small wrister)
Переглядів 29721 годину тому
As someone with a small wrist, I wish that Casio would tweak some of their watches to better fit those of us with smaller wrist sizes. So in this video, I wanted to talk about some ideas for watches that I'd like to see Casio make in the future.
The Perfect Casio Work Watch? (Casio EFR-S107D Review)
Переглядів 1,8 тис.День тому
The Casio EFR-S107D is a great watch that is beautiful and slim. Its unique design is highlighted by the bezel screws and grain dial highlighted by teal accents. For someone with a small wrist like myself, this watch fits perfectly.
Best G-Shocks For Small Wrists (as someone with a sub-7 inch wrist)
Переглядів 3 тис.14 днів тому
I wanted to talk about some Casio G-Shock watches that would fit someone with a small wrist, like I have. Most G-Shocks are large and bulky. However, there are some models that do fit small wrists. For reference, my wrist is 6.25 inches around and 2 inches across. The watches I'm talking about in this video are the GMD-S5600, GA-2300, GM-S110, GMA-S2100, GM-S2100, and BGW-100. Depending on when...
Is This Casio Watch Still Relevant? (Casio W86 Review)
Переглядів 73921 день тому
I wanted to share why I think the Casio W86 is a great watch, especially if you're interested in the look of a Casio digital watch, but want better features than the F91W. So I have three pros and two cons to this watch. Spoiler: this is a great watch and the one I've worn the most.
The Best Casio Duro Alternative for a Small Wrist? (Casio MTD-1053 Review)
Переглядів 2,9 тис.21 день тому
The Casio MTD-1053 is a great choice for a dive watch in the Casio family for those with small wrists. It hits a sweet spot in diameter and would fit nicely on wrists small than seven inches. However, there are some drawbacks as well. Overall, though, it's a great watch and one I use for the beach and pool.
What is my Casio Watch Collection Goal?
Переглядів 856Місяць тому
I like collecting Casio watches, but I had to ask myself where my Casio collection is going. Am I just trying to buy the most Casio watches I can? I hope not. So instead, I took a hard look at what it is that I'm trying to do with my collection and I've decided that I'm trying to collect certain types of Casio watches that fulfill certain roles or purposes for me.
Yes, the Real Metal Casioak (Casio EFS-S570 Review)
Переглядів 2,6 тис.Місяць тому
The Casio EFS-S570 is a great watch. It has an octagonal bezel with screws, solar charging, and a sapphire crystal. And for someone with a small wrist under seven inches, this watch is sized perfectly. However, there were some issues I ran into with this watch and so I wanted to share some pros and cons and overall thoughts on it.
Casio G-Shock x Golf Collaborations I'd Love to See
Переглядів 188Місяць тому
As a fan of both Casio G-Shock watches and the LPGA Tour, I'd love for Casio to release a series of collaboration watches with some of the top women golfers from Japan. Not only would these watches mostly likely fit my small wrist, but I think the collaboration would highlight the success these golfers have had this year.
The Ultimate Adventure Watch? (Casio Protrek PRG-30 Review)
Переглядів 2 тис.Місяць тому
The Casio PRG-30 is a great outdoors and hiking watch. I originally got it because of the large digital display and relatively small size. It is packed with features, which I mostly don't use, but still, I like the watch and what it has to offer. I wanted to share my thoughts on this watch after owning it for a while. Hopefully this video is helpful to those thinking about a Protrek watch.
Looking for a Steel Digital Casio? (Casio A1100 Review)
Переглядів 1,7 тис.Місяць тому
This is a quick review of the Casio A1100, a strange watch with vintage features. It's a digital watch, but the button layout is very retro, as the buttons are on the face watch. It's also constructed of steel instead of the typical resin found in many Casio digital watches.
Casio Watches I Returned and Why (as someone with a small wrist)
Переглядів 3,1 тис.2 місяці тому
I've bought a lot of watches and while most have stuck around in my collection, there have been a handful that I've returned for one reason or another. In this video, I wanted to share and talk about the watches I returned and why. By the way, all of the watches I review for this channel are watches that I purchased and am keeping. I don't buy watches for review and then return them. If I retur...
Finally! A Casio Frogman for a Small Wrist (Casio Baby G BGW-100 Review)
Переглядів 9092 місяці тому
I've always wanted to wear a Casio Frogman, but that line of watches has traditionally been expensive and large. As someone with a small wrist, I was excited to learn about the Casio BGW-100, or the Baby G Frogman. It's a mini Frogman watch with all of the great features and look of the more traditional watch. I had to get mine used, but I would highly recommend it for those with a small wrist.
Casio, what's with the negative displays?
Переглядів 3,6 тис.2 місяці тому
I'm a fan of Casio watches, but I'm not a fan of their negative displays. Maybe it's just me, but I struggle to read them. So I wanted to talk about my experience with their negative displays on their watches. What I'm hoping for is that they just offer positive display versions alongside their negative display options.
A Nice G-Shock for a Small Wrist (Casio GA-2300 Review)
Переглядів 3,4 тис.3 місяці тому
So I was looking for buy my first Casio G-Shock watch and came across the GA-2300. It's a little different than the typical CasiOak style watch and I'm overall happy with the design. However, there are some things I don't really enjoy about it. So I wanted to share my pros, cons, and general comments as a G-Shock rookie. #casiowatch #gshock

I think colorwise GMA-S2100GA-1 looks best. Yeah, its negative display, but still.
I'm trying to avoid the negative displays, if possible.
Still have no video on the GMAP2100BB ?
I haven't bought that one because it's almost too small for my wrist. I saw it at the store and it just wasn't what I was looking for. Colors are a little off for me too.
My wrist is 14.5 cm, which should be just under 6 inches. Guess it’s and extra small wrist 😂 Don’t be so hard on yourself, your wrist looks good to me! I wouldn't call it small honestly 😂
😄
My wrist is that size as well! It’s rough. If you have any recommendations for watches that work for you I’d love to hear.
@@sukinelson2153 Yes, it’s rough! Size is a problem, but i also have problems with the resin straps. Sometimes they are too long and, once you set the watch one the first or second hole, you have the bottom part of the band that sticks out. I fixed the issue by cutting off the part that sticks out. Currently in my collection: F-105W, A168WA, GMA-S2100, WV-59, MRW-200H, AQ-230A, W-800H, MQ-24, AE-1200WH (metal bracelet), EFR-S107D (bracelet a little too big, changed with a black leather one). Non Casio watches: Invicta Pro Diver Quartz 8932OB, Timex Expedition 40mm. Hope this helps!
Isnt this gma p2100?
I believe that model doesn't have the day of the week indicator. This one does.
Really loved your channel. I have exactly the same wrist dimensions as you and am also a Casio fan. Expecting more video from you in future from other brands like Timex. They make some excellent watches within the 40mm dial. I hope you will make some videos.
Thanks for the comment. I'm mostly focused on Casio for now, but I've been looking at Timex as well. Maybe I'll pick one up at some point.
Can you put a different strap on there?
I think you can, but I haven't because I like the titanium.
Does anyone know where to get one? Are they discontinued?
I got mine on Amazon
@@thissmallwristI'm glad you got one 😊 as it seems they are sold out and discontinued '
As a fellow small-wristed person, I get it. At 6.5", I struggle to wear larger watches. I also have a growing Casio collection. I had a WV58A-1AVCR in high school and going into college, but the strap broke, and I misplaced it in one of my many moves since then. After that, I was gifted a DBC-32 and an AW-81. Then, I bought myself a BGD560-7, an F-105W, an AE1200WH, and an F-91W. I'm also holding onto my brother's old DW-9052 that I repaired, and while it certainly looks big and chunky, it wears surprisingly comfortably due to its light weight and strap interface. I guess it really depends on the watch.
That's a nice collection of Casio watches you've collected over the years. I had to look up most of the watches you referenced because I wasn't familiar with the models. 😄
I'm such an evangelist for the GA-2300. As a person with normal man-sized arms who really digs smaller G-Shocks, I was very frustrated with how poorly they fit across my wrist. I have a GMD-S5600 and a Jason and both pinch my radius in a way that makes them intolerable to wear for more than an hour. The non-integrated band of the GA-2300 completely solves that. It fits me as well if not better than normal sized G-Shocks. Such a fantastic solution. I own the white and grey models, and the new orange variant is being shipped to me as we speak. I'm hooked.
Thanks for sharing. I was curious about the Jason. I like the concept but seems a little big. The 2300 has been growing on me. Maybe they will continue to expand the color options in that model.
@@thissmallwrist The Jason is very thick and wears pretty large. However the wings under the case hug you pretty tightly. Large wristed people beware.
Got mine tday with the blue dial and honestly it was worth the wait. Thanks a lot for covering this model!!
It's a great watch. I like it on a rubber strap.
@@thissmallwrist I bet it'll look stunning with a blue rubber strap same as the dial.
You seem to have a similar dimension to myself, smaller wrists but a pretty large hand/fist. I think you should give the 5610u or the 5600 solar equivalent a go. I picked one up a few weeks ago and it fits me so much better than i thought it could with the listed dimensions.
Thanks for the recommendation. Maybe I'll give the 5610 a try. I've tried a bunch of the 5600 series at the store and they seem a little big for me.
@@thissmallwrist If you tried the solar 5600 it will fit exactly the same as the 5610u if im not mistaken. I thought the slight variation of the dial layout and colours helped it hide its size a bit more however.
AW-500 (my WOTD), AW-590, G7700, G301, 5600UE, GBD-200 fit perfectly on my 6” wrist.
The 200 fits good? I'm looking at that watch but it seems too big. I wish Casio would make a smaller G-Shock Move watch.
@@thissmallwrist It does not look “disproportionate” to my eyes ! I’ve the other members of G-Squad : GBA-800 & GBD-800 too.. Maybe I “secretly” like big watches, so no watch looks too big 😀
This range of watches would be perfect if they were also available in 36mm and 38mm sizes AND available worldwide. 40mm is just too big for many potential buyers, they are never sold worldwide and usually have short production runs.
I think 40mm is a nice size, even for my small wrist. Any smaller and I'm afraid Casio will market it as a women's watch 😄
Great review!!
Glad you enjoyed it
I've worn mine all summer on the Forstner Bullet bracelet. Cheers!
It's a great watch
You know what is cooler? The second hand perfectly hit the second marks. Not even the famous PRX can do that! P.s It have been discontinued not long after it was released. This model should be the model to replace the 108D, but the other way around happened. I might be wrong thou, cause i've seen this being mentioned in another watch review on UA-cam.
I also think it's been discontinued, which is too bad. It's a great looking watch. And the second hand is perfect.
I’ve S108, I like it, but let me admit that S107 looks better. Unfortunately, it’s not available here in India. Why does Casio not make the great watches available anymore ? BTW, my Edifice collection (addiction) has 8 Edifices bought in a short period when they were on great deals !
Can you share the model numbers?
@@akshay.mehta1398 EFR-S108, 574, 526, EFV-100, 100, 140, 640D, C110,
Yeah, it's unfortunate that they sometimes discontinue great watches. Just gotta keep looking online. It took me a while to find this one.
Does EFR 108D or EFR 107D look more stylish on a slim wrist? My wrist is 16.5 cm but it looks thinner than yours. Top is less than 5 (2 inches) cm
Good question. The 108D might look better on your wrist. My biggest disappointment with the 108 was that it looked too small and flat for me. I tried it on and it didn't look right.
It needs a teal rubber strap so the accents pop Beautiful watch too, the Edifice three handers look like baby Oceanus
I actually like the black leather strap. I think the seconds hand and text are just enough color for me.
HI. Great video. What is the diver that is on the top tier mid level extreme right?
I think the one you are asking about is the S110. The solar diver. Is that right?
@@thissmallwrist ah yes. It's a rather large watch though
Have you tried the GDB 500?
I haven't tried that one, but I'm looking at the 600 version. Looks like a great size.
We want specs and functions
I provided some of the specs in terms of dimensions. There are also online resources that get into the detailed specs.
I totally get the small wrist problem. I’m 5ft 9in and 170lbs. I work out and have a decent physique but unfortunately nothing I can do to change my puny wrist size of 6in maybe a tiny bit bigger. Great video! Love Casio!
I'm hoping to share more about my watch journey with smaller Casios, even if so many are big
Finally! a watch channel for small wrists!
😆 Gotta try to help those of us with Muppet wrists
The GST-B600 is quite small too.
It's one I'm looking at to buy soon. Seems like a great size for me
I have two. With the ae 1500 it doesn't matter that it is negatve, because the display is so big.
I thought that it would still be hard to read, even with the size
Try the GST-B600
I'm hoping to get it soon
Will a g5600ue suit a 6.2ish inch wrist?
I'm not sure, as I don't have that watch.
@@thissmallwrist ok
Tricky to say, but I got one last week and would say the shape sits (surprisingly) perfectly on my 6.8ish-inch wrist. So you'll perhaps have a bit of a gap/movement around the fixed lug/strap integration. But it's very, very comfortable - the strap is softer than I'd expected (it's my first G-Shock so can't compare) and it's light. As ever it'll be a matter of preference, but I say go for it. Modest wrist presence and hopefully a worry-free watch for decades!
I have a 5.5 inch wrist. Guess I can still rock the standard 5600 squares, but that's about it 😂 I will check out that GMD S5600.
I still don't feel comfortable with the standard 5600 squares. I just wanted one a little smaller.
Just what I was looking for!
Glad it helped.
I tried the GMA-S2100, and the way the strap goes almost straight down was very uncomfortable. I second the GWM5610U, smaller than the normal square and so much functionality!
Thanks for the recommendation.
My small Gs for my 6” wrist : 5600UE, GA-B2100, GBD-200, AW-500, AW-590, G-7700, G-301.
Great list. I was looking at the GBD-200. Is it big for your wrist? I tried the DWH 5600 and it's too big.
@@thissmallwrist No. GBD-200 fits perfectly on my wrist. The ones which are big are GBD-800, GBA-800, GD-350 and GD-400. (These and the ones mentioned earlier are all my 10 G-Shocks )
GM-S5600?
I was looking at that watch, but haven't found one I like yet from the models that are currently for sale.
I can't decide between: GMD S5600, GLX S5600, BGD 5650-1, BGD 560...
Big list to choose from. Maybe buy one at a time 😄
The Casio G-Shock GWM5610U is a good one too for small wrists. I have one and it's perfect, the one and only g shock watch I'll ever wear and need(for now)
I was looking at that watch, but thought it was still too big for my wrist.
@@thissmallwrist never hurts to try!
It’s smaller than the DW-5600. I have both.
You got that efv 100d but not the smaller version 110d??
I couldn't find the smaller version.
LESS HANDS MORE WATCH
😆
What about the F-105W ? :) also EL and even more similar to F91W , can recommend !
That's a great watch. I have that too, but this one beats it out in water resistance.
Why buy a watch and then complain about features it has with the excuse, that you do not need these?! If you are unsure of if the sensors are correct, test them then. If you don't know how, find out and do it. Complaining lacking arguments isn't helping anyone.
I bought this watch for the large display. The ABC features are nice but not for me. If they had a simple Casio with the same display size and case size, I'll pick that up. The AE1500 is just too big for me.
what is bracelet size ?
I mentioned it in the video. I believe 18 mm
W86 is a good competitor to f91W
I think the W86 wins in all categories. It's just a great watch
Your content is rich bro, pls dont change ur video style, keep going!!
Thanks. I'm enjoying making videos
As the world’s fastest Casio collector (self-proclaimed 😉), I feel guilty for not yet having the most sold/popular Casio worn by Presidents and “you know who else !” This is simply because F91 doesn’t feel attractive/special to me. However, this one (W86) is actually prettier and I may get it prior to F91 (subject to availability here in India).
It's a great watch. The teal is unique. To me, the light is perfect. Worth it just for the light
Over the past year and a Haiti have bought about 2 dozen Casios for myself, my wife and coworkers. Mostly inexpensive Casio, but I have one Edifice and one G-Shock. I only by what appeals to me generally are less than $100 or not much more and that I actually wear at work, around town or at home. I thymy next purchase will be a classic analog from Seiko with a nice leather band for traveling. The Worldtimer looks too complicated.
That's a great collection. I started with cheaper Casio watches, but lots of good ones around the $150-$200 range as well.
Howzit! OK, first off, great review, I have the W86 as well and even though it's not as daily driver as yours, I like mine a lot as well for the same reasons. I guess my only con would be the availability since it's not made anymore and when it <was> made, it appeared to be a Euro market (or maybe UK market specifically, as that's where mine was from as well) watch. I do actually kind of like the teal, but that's all about taste anyway, right? :) But here's the kicker, I didn't see if you had an F105-W in your collection or not. If you want an F91-W with a better light, the F105-W is it. You can probably walk over to Longs or WallyWorld (WalMart) and pick one up for around $20, maybe? *Addendum: never mind, I just went back and found one of your SOTC vids and I see that you have an F-105 in your collection already... But, if you DO want as close to an F-91-W as possible w/ a decent backlight, you can check out the Skmei on Aliexpress.
I have to F105. It's a great watch too. The only knock is less water resistance but they wear almost the same. Small and good light. Pretty much all your need
