Bo was easily stopped in the Original Tecmo Bowl, especially if you used NY or Washington. His run does not block the top OLB. Banks for NY and Marshall for Washington were unblocked and could hold Bo in check

Tecmo this and that on ps1 was GREAT

The QBs not featured belong to a group called the QB Club which required a different license

My brother in law and I have played EAs Head Coach a ton.. he has no skill on the sticks and that game gives him a chance to play a game no skills required

The NFL (football) game had a fold up sheet of paper with running plays and passing plays on opposite sides.

The first really good football game spent many hours on this. Look up the story on why Bo Jackson is overpowered it's great

When we were kids, playing as LA was off the table. Bo Jackson was way too OP. In Tecmo Bowl, that is. Great video, btw!

Always play with my Giants as a kid if there were someone who could stop Bo Jackson or Barry Sanders, it was Lawrence Taylor, specially in the first Tecmo Bowl…

Seeing Tecmo Super Bowl at the video store and then playing it…November 1991, was like getting a fast forward gaming wise. It was so far ahead of anything that had existed at that point. NFL and NFLPA license, which I’m certain was a first. Complete stat tracking for real players with a real NFL schedule. But if you had that and the playbook you could swap out plays with, and the game didn’t play well, it wouldn’t have mattered. We got that and a game that showed subtle things like play action fakes, bootlegs, reverses/end arounds, flea flickers and men in motion smoothly. Even something as subtle as the man following a receiver in motion if the defense was somehow gonna be in coverage, those were LIGHT YEARS ahead of anything we’d ever seen. And it felt like most of the players were adequately represented based on their 1990 seasons. Only exceptions were like Bob Nelson of the Packers, who is pretty OP for a guy who was just okay. The replay value was off the charts, playing head to head put friendships on the line 😂…and to this day, it still gets updated and is a blast to play. For my money, still the best NES game of all time.

Techno Super Bowl is still the greatest game ever made. Not techno bowl, I’m talking about techno Super Bowl for regular Nintendo.

Bo Jackson was so unstoppable in that game. Same with the Joe Montana Jerry Rice hook up. So many touch via those.

Tecmo Super Bowl was the all time #1 in my eyes. Long days and late nights spent as a kid playing against my brother. Still do to this day!
