Your wrong about ph, it’s very important to keep it stable day and night at 8,3, all the pro reefers like me dose kalkwasser at night to keep it up
🤓👆
Nice job Bro
How do you raise nutrients without promoting algae growth? I also have a tiny patch of cyano bacteria that keeps coming back that im afraid will grow if i dose nitrates.
A lot of it comes from having the correct balance of nutrients, typically a 100:1 ratio of nitrate to phosphate this helps to reduce things like cyano especially. You are being to get a certain level of algae and I would recommend increasing your cleanup crew or manually removing it if there is a lot and you can usually manage it with snails, tangs and hermits from there
@@queencitycorals i added a couple black foot trochus snails, about 4, and a female emerald crab for the bit of bubble algae that keeps coming back. Im blowing cyano off daily, and its starting to help. What would you reccomend to dose nitrates and phosphates?
Super clean facility!!
It was definitly the cleanest wholesaler I've seen, I hope you enjoyed the video! Me and my editor are big fans!
Is that rock in your fish quarantine?
No, we only keep PVC pipes and sand for wrasses/gobys.
Do you have a dosage recommendation for Cipro
I typically dose 1 pill per 100 gallons, but our systems are also very established. You also want to turn off and UV sterilizers
Can you do a video on your quarantine system. What you treat for from day 1. How long they stay there. What do you do if you find a infected piece
We have been planning it and definitely will soon!
None of em 😈
AWESOME!!
I love Fragits!
thanks for clearly explain.. good information ❤❤
An excellent summary and brilliantly presented ! 👏
what is the lighting equipment model ?
They use Radion XR-30s
Wow what a place 😍
Maaaan! Very nice clean place.
I got dinos from bottoming out my nutrients. I listened to dr. Tim being interviewed. I raised nutrients by dosing and I didn’t want to do a total blackout unless I had no other choice. He said turn the blues down below 50% and I dosed his refresh and then waste away and kept my nutrients up and I was able to get rid of them with manual removal and persistence. Don’t sleep on the phos/ nitrates, mine get low I can see the dinos starting.
This place is FREAKIN amazing! Some of the most beautiful COLORS I have EVER seen! ABSOLUTELY First Class facility. I am glad you toured it and are purchasing from for your retail customers. I am watching this again… WOWZA
We’ve been ordering from them for a while but seeing their facility really shows how much they care for these animals!
What’s the name of this shop? Do they sell online?
This is Route 66 Marine, they are wholesale only unfortunately. But we bring in their corals regularly
You come home with any sweet finds?
We didn’t unfortunately because we had to head to another wholesaler. But we did just get a shipment from them!
That color at >10 NO4? Good job!
The joker one is a st. thomas mushroom not rare but definitely bubbling
I’ve seen a lot of St. Thomas mushrooms and while they aren’t a super rare that coloration and bubbling is definitely unique
Malaysian Corals all fat and chunky
Come to Colorado
We went to reefstock Denver this year and will probably go again next year!
How do you keep hair algae from growing in between the clove polyps? On their piece of rock is the only place i have hair algae in my tank. So far i have taken the rock out and cleaned off the hair algae with 3% peroxide, tweezers, and q-tips 3 times already and it just comes back constantly about a week and a half later.
I would recommend increasing your flow, there is probably detritus settling in between them and that’s why the algae is growing there.
I love the long-form videos,, that long late night walk-thru was entertaining, I stayed on. Thank you for the excellent content
don't use chemiclean
Some people say they have had problems with it, it’s never hurt anything in my tanks but every system is different
Thank you Graham and QCC for this fine tutorial. I'm a new hobbyist and new QCC customer: you guys go many extra miles to insure the protection of your healthy specimens during shipment which significantly helps acclimation. Question, so the ingredients of the accelerator is safe if some gets onto coral? Don't see myself fragging anytime soon (aside from repair/maintenance) but still very helpful to understand the process. Thanks a lot!
@@corntaters6225 thanks and keep up the great work!
Thank you @corntaters6225! The accelerator in my experience is fine to get on the coral itself.
Really good editing. What software do you use?
Thank you! Our editor Alvin uses Premiere Pro
Great video and love the shop, man! 🤙🏼
Great idea on these quick interviews. I like it 💯🙌👏👌

Did I really just hear a guy name a coral Taylor swift? 😢😢 Talk about naming corals thinking it’s going to sell omg give me the swifties haha oh boy
I did a custom aqua scape on my tank and it is totally worth the time and effort… I also get yelled out for ruining a patch of concrete in my garage from gluing the rocks 😂😂 it happens
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Did you buy anything?
We didn’t unfortunately, we had a flight out on Saturday so with filming I didn’t have time although there were a few pieces I had my eye on!
I was at RAP 2024, I didn't see Trash Panda on the roster...
He shared a booth with iconic aquariums.
Awesome coverage. Best so far
That is not a real purple monster but still a cool morph
Love these walkthrough videos!
I had NO idea there were so many coral shops here in CA! No shortage of possibilities if you live in So Cal. I absolutely need to go next year.
I always look forward to your coral tours! Great content!
The phos/nitrate advice only applies for FOWLR and reef tanks. For a macroalgae tank you want really high phosphates and nutrients. In all of my macro tanks I'm running about 25-50 nitrates and .5ish phosphates. The nutrient uptake of the macroalgae will actually prevent most types of algae as macroalgae consumes much more nutrients (phos/nitrate/traces/CO2) than most microalgae.
100% agree, as the title states most of this advise is for Reef Tanks.
Great video content well explained made me re-think on my own sump for upgrades.
My tang, foxface, snails, algae blenny only take pallets.
I would recommend feeding them a little bit less to see if that gets them more interested in the algae. They are usually pretty good cleaners!
Any glitter strains of Goni ready and healed?
Not yet unfortunately, they take a while to settle in but we should frag in the next few weeks!
Much appreciated! Do you know what strains they are?
the nipple mushroom
you guys suck because you dont like weird shit lmao, your awesome man.
A big fan of the sticks tank… just don’t have the skills to put them in my tank yet
Come on Kevin?!?😂
Great video. Gotta love them torch coral!
