I would love to laugh hearing an American trying to speak Mandarin because so far I am laughing out loud every time they try to speak French or any other language if they do as mostly they think English is the best so they do not need to learn another language ! Being condescending has never helped someone to understand what he is been told ! So this video only shows me an ATC guy getting mad assuming their English is good enough to understand everything he says as in a normal conversation. How about using standard ICAO phraseology would that make sense or is it too hard !? Most of the countries do with some hick ups why can’t the US do it too. Canada does and they are neighbors ! 🙄

We have to keep encouraging the kids as long as we can till they really can understand the unfairness of the world as a "workable" reality and not a scary thing!!! Before that level, let all kids see the world as beautiful and fun as possible that they CAN be! Let their batteries get fully charged for all that may come at adulthood. Unfortunately they weren't able to secure pushback clearance due to English proficiency requirements. Fortunately they were almost immediately offered teaching positions by the local public school system.

This is a trick a lot of Chinese pilots like to use. They pretend not to be able to understand ATC because they want to get to the ramp quickly instead of waiting in line. Other pilots use similar tricks like when tower ask them to hold short and wait they end up line up and wait on the runway so they can takeoff faster.

This is funny until you realize that bad communication like this can easily kill hundreds of people.
