I've been using Bitwig since 2017 and to me its just on another level compared to some of the other DAWs around. I have Ableton 11 which is really good but Bitwigs is my go to for a Saturday night jamming with the clip launcher loaded with samples and midi. I like to record then as now and then you hit gold...Cheers mate

Trying so hard to like Bitwig and find it incredible you use it as your primary and only DAW. There are so many upsides. But there are things that don't make sense like the way the cursor operates in the timeline when editing windows is open and not being able to drop the cursor midway to start playback for instance. Being unable to apply FX directly to audio events. If it could blend the best of Ableton with the best of Studio One it would be the perfect DAW.

And in my experience every great studio around the world at the end of day Mac runs the show. Tech is taking over the world through AI..Just the facts

Looking at 16" M1 MAX, 10/32CPU, 32GB RAM + 2TB SSD. Not sure if it's better to go for 64GB RAM and 1TB SSD instead? Decisions..... WIll I ever need the 64GB RAM? Extra storage is always good...

To cut cost would you recommend 16gb or 32gb with standard 512ssd instead of 1tb storage ? Or should it be 16gb with 1tb ?

Me still on Mojave on intel 15" 2013, cannot move to BigSur or Monterey as still many plugins has not yet been updated. BUT yea the performance and the quality of these new macbook pro is stunning. The day i get enough funds i would definitely get one with 32gb for future proof.

The M1 Max im sure actually only gives a boost in graphics performance and no CPU power increase at all in case anyone is upgrading for the soul purpose of thinking theyre getting a better CPU
