It's posted multiple times in the front office where he had to pay for entrance to the yard. Open flame and sparks are a major concern. You got those people who think that doesn't apply to them. Come on! It’s just common sense. We had a salvage yard go up in smoke because someone was using a grinder in the yard. Took the local fire department three days to put it out. Old rubber tires, gas tanks, oil and who knows what else leaking from vehicles that have been sitting there For years.

Who goes to a salvage yard anymore. All the ones my way, the prices are only a few dollars less than new. The rules are just as ridiculous, and you have to show ID, have your bags searched going in and out, and sign in /out.

Saying "I'll just leave" and then proceeding to complain about how ridiculous it is to you, isn't the grown-up way of handling anything. He said "you can't have in here" probably because they've had incidents where they've just enforced it by word and come to find the customer used it anyways. Its their property, and a fire isnt an oopsie they can't get off just by saying "well we TOLD him not do use it". Could of just gone and placed it in your vehicle, and returned.
