This channel was formed to show how to tackle some the the most annoying parts of a service repair on a vehicle. I am a Ford certified Tech. With that being said, there are a lot of difficult services to perform when dealing with Fords and other vehicles also. Most of the time, the vehicle i need visual help with is "to new"and youtube doesn't have a video for it. This is were me and my team come in to play. we've taken it upon our self to tackle these hard steps of a repair to help give you a visual aid to help make your repair a faster more efficient success.

thanks for video. i took the old white spindle out and use it to turn manual flap door for the winter and have great heat
Why is this not a recall? The older ones did not do it.I bought a 2019 navigator new.Its junk always something. My 2010 with the 5.4 bought new has 305k miles no issues other than got rid of air ride.I have own 5 navigators and this ecoboost is junk.I have 122k miles .Bought warranty threw Ford for 100k warranty it's been making noise since 80k miles and they tell me it's normal. This the worst car I have ever owned .My buddy has a 2020 and his transmission just went out at 70k miles .Do not buy one.
If Ford did a recall on these Cam phasers, they would probably go out of business...lol We place ALOT of phasers. And your buddies truck probably needs a CDF drum for the transmission. There is a TSB out for it. Sorry to hear about y'all experience.
This vehicle was rusty. This made it more difficult than normal to disconnect the lower ball joint from the knuckle. No the hammer did not bend the lower arm.
Hey brother, my car makes a low humming/vibration while at around 1200rpm and again at 1800rpm. It does this in every gear. Any idea what may be causing it?
@@catcola1061 does this happen in "Park' or just in "drive?"
@@neighborhoodmechanic3822 Glad you asked since I forgot to mention. It only happens in drive. It doesn’t happen when revving in park or neutral
@@catcola1061 cool. What's the year, make and model of your vehicle?

With your vehicle being a 2010, there can be a few things that cause your issue. Have you changed any parts in an attempt to repair the problem?
2011 Econoline bus. The lead spring is in the for access of the upper caliper bolt. This is one way to do the job.

I've seen this a lot on 2014ish explorers and f-150s
This is when you have to ask yourself why didn’t the engineers just design a crush washer instead of an oring
See what had happened was….. i was cleaning my plate for lunch and the darned thing just flew off. So I continued on with my lunch break. I’m so glad you found it for me 😂😅
Lol
Damn that sucks!
Good thing it’s at least patchable
use a smaller one next time ! xD
I’m really interested if this is a customer car…. 🤔 and if it is, were they informed that their tire was destroyed. Highly doubt it. That’s why he’s laying on the ground to fix it and not using the lift. Trying to stay inconspicuous. 😂 You do you bub. I just call it like I see it. 😅
Not a customer car 👍
Hell yeah that’s so cool wow thank you. I allowed myself one last video before bed and this was it, that’s just great
Why are you on the floor when you have a lift right there
@@matthewrivers1139 I don't have a good answer...lol
Personal choice
What do you do if my 2015 Ford Escape SE is shuddering when at a stop sign?
Could be something else, like a misfire. While at a stop sign, put it in park and see if the shudder goes away.
@@neighborhoodmechanic3822 putting it in park or neutral completely gets rid of the shudder. it 100% only shudders when i am at a stop. It only shudders when i am at a stop. the second i let off of the brake and the car starts moving the shudder instantly stops.
7 years later and he’s the hero I needed in my life today
What is happening is this, when an exhaust valve is burnt, it is no longer sealing against the valve seat. When idling, there is usually a great deal of vacuum created during the intake cycle. If the valve is burnt and leaking, you'll get reversion. Reversion is where the exhaust flow changes direction back toward the cylinder, which should not be happening. By placing the bill on the exhaust tip, the bill will rattle. The noise will be very noticeable. Please note, in order for this test to work correctly, you need to have a good exhaust system (without leaks). The bill also has to have a good fit over the exhaust tip. If it's too small, the effect wont occur. I don't know how well it will work with exhausts which have cross-over or h-pipes built into the system. The engine has to be idling as the vacuum is much less and the exhaust flow is much greater when the engine is off-idle.
Yeah, impressive, keep doing that shit , wait until……….see what will happen
Im just thinking of that future oooof moment seeing as how the tranny is on a roller. Thats either feet broke and engine busted or pure engine busted.
Look, he's tough and stupid.
Ahhh this the mf scraping my brand new transmission pan.
Osha hates this one trick:
@@spectre8522 lol indeed
Doctor: so what happened to your back again!? Man/patient: Oh you know the daily grind, just lifting car engines all day long nothing to over strenuous!
Just what the customer wants. A scratched and gouged up oil pan.
Oil pan didn't scratch..
That’s easy AF… why use a hoist ??💪🏽
True mechanic only a true mechanic would do this I know this for a fact that man is Superman
Gonna poop out a testicle later. I think i heard it happen u hear that grunt? Thats a ball sack missing a tenant!
All he did was lift it and take 2 steps. Not an install not impressive
He must not like his back
Don't think I would show it dragon cross the floor oil pan an all
Not impressed I weigh 165 pounds and I nee press 300 pound diesel Trannys into diesel trucks
Wow, you can lift 150 pounds of aluminum😂

@@neighborhoodmechanic3822 did you know you should be able to lift twice to your bodyweight? 150x2=300🧐 and he’s an easy 250. I would calculate that to be 500 pounds.😂
My dude is stout.
Spine day at the shop, gonna feel that in 5 years for the rest of your life
Hey there’s one more for you to move it’s even smaller but it’s cast iron 😂
That dudes back os just screaming
Chill, it’s an aluminum engine 😂
Bro needs to get laid , before he damages himself.
Sometimes it's quick trip to ER.
Good ole 2.0, or 2.3
This isn't cool. This is what fucks your body up and makes you the same old mechanic in the shop that shakes like a tree in the wind and looks like he'd about to die when he walks. Take care of your body
True but this guy is an experienced power lifter and this is the way he chose to do it.

Just found out that I need to remove the flywheel in order to remove the thrust bearing. This is a 98 Honda Civic. Always check the service manual
Always check the service manual. I tried removing the pilot bearing the traditional way but found that I needed to remove the flywheel in order to remove the pilot bearing.
Be sure it’s not a hollow crankshaft first! Some Corvettes only have a freeze plug in there that will be driven out of its seat resulting in a major oil leak.
Thanks for the insight💯
