First of all, thank you for your comment, you put me in doubt about this, I decided to find some information To solve this, origami: art of folding objects out of paper to create both two-dimensional and three-dimensional subjects. Kirigami: is a variation of origami, the Japanese art of folding paper. In kirigami, the paper is cut as well as being folded, resulting in a three-dimensional design that stands away from the page. greetings ✌🏼

Mate I have a suggestion for you.. When you use the pricking irons, punch using pricking irons on both the sides.. Meaning - punch on one side then flip the layer and punch in the same holes again using pricking irons. This creates equal sized holes on both sides and hence perfect diagonal stitches. Otherwise you get small stitch on one side and a bigger one on the other side. Keep up the great work. Cheers!

    • @Oldcoyoteleathergoods

Unless it is a round hole punch, this will not work. For diamond punches, you would need a reverse punch for the back side, otherwise the diamonds will not be oriented correctly. Take a piece of scrap leather and try it. You will see what I mean.

If you are dealing with Tandy Leather, I strongly recommend having a look at the Japanese pricking irons. Not the M series ones, just the "basic" ones. They are MUCH nicer to use!!!

Mike first of all thanks for your comment! 🙏 replying to your comment, look at the japanese prick irons in the store, they have a showcase with different new tools, with an elegant touch, but after watching some videos and some reviews in different media they don't speak very well of them, I think that for the price there are many good brands with good reviews, I'll have to try it next time go to a tandy store. best regards! 🙌🏼

I always prefer to use natural veg-leather, 3-4 oZ, when you start in leather goods, it is advisable to buy natural leather without color and start experimenting with colors so you can have more color options in your projects, I recommend the pro Dye of fiebings, I will try to make a video, dyeing a leather. greetings ✌🏼

I saw that you glue the thread ends in rather than burn them. Is that more secure?

thanks for commenting on my video brother, regarding your comment, honestly I don't like burning the ends of the thread, I think it doesn't look professional, (personally.) I have seen some videos that burn it, others that hide it like me with glue, I prefer to hide it, my thread is not synthetic, it is hemp thread, the glue I use is water-based and rubber is very very resistant I don't think those threads will come out, at least in about 10 years hehe. I hope to see your doubt resolved bro! best regards. ✌🏼
