Most of the construction was filmed in 1911 by Theodor Koch-Gruenberg. Whereas almost all recorded construction methods for this figure use different opening movements, the film footage appears to show a construction method also recorded by Alban Robinson among the Makushi in 1917 (1918:148, Kurá (a small fish))

Unnamed string figure from the Faroe Islands. A lady taught me this figure in August 2024 in Runavík, Faroe Islands. She did not know a name for it. I do not remember having seen it before.

Chin of the Howling Monkey. A Taulipáng string figure from Guyana. The original construction of the figure was filmed by Theodor Koch-Grünberg in 1911 (three stills exist), but its footage is lost and has probably been destroyed. As its construction is a slight variant on that of the Entrance of a House, we have been able to reconstruct it here.

The first movements are not on the film and have been reconstructed here.
