Subs and a bell follow from me. I liked it and did you touch him? Question, did you Rev up higher as 8200 and have a FD2 oilpump, f.e.? Sounds like you Rev like over 8500+. Sure with mappings and all, you could hit 8300. It sounds so much higher to me. And maybe a mod list? Thank you and keep them videos coming :)
Cheers mate. Engine is appart from the Exhaust bone stock. Rev Limit is exactly at 8500. Most of the work was done on the Suspension. (Camber, Toe, Damping, Rollbars etc.)
8600rpm is safe for stock oil pump. Are people who drive 8800rpm for long time and safe.

Considering the fact that this isn’t far from stock and you got held up this was a fast lap. I’ve seen k swapped dc2s that are stripped of weight and more heavily modded run times that aren’t much faster, that’s with a good driver and little traffic, fn2 is a great car.

Beast driving! I'm going to be building an FN2 strictly for the ring within the next 3 months, I will do half cage, removed seats, lighter speakers, 16 inch lightweight wheels and coilovers/bushings, probably with a bit more engine tuning than yours has. Hows the reliability? I'm going to buy 2010+ for the LSD. The other choice is Megane R26. Hmmmmm.
The FN2 never let me down. Reliability is remarkable. Brakes really needs swapping though...

Thanks! - The Street flex are good, on the verge of being slightly too stiff (depending on the road). Maybe i am getting old?
Could of been even faster too if it wasn't for a couple of cars stunting your momentum. I synced your lap with a DC2 K20A on Nuburgring and you was literally the same time as him until you met that BMW, the car must be set up extremely well! Don't anyone ever say a FN2 can't handle well or is a bad Type R because of that rear suspension it's b*llocks!
If the suspension gets set up well, you can get reasonably far, before the construction becomes a real limitation.

Yeah, it is a Champ White. Not measured, but probably the usual value, that can be expected with a reflash.

Engine wise it is just an exhaust. It got a half cage with bucket seats, OEM LSD, Tein Street Flex, Stiffer Bushings (The list goes on, but nothing utterly crazy) A lot went into dialing in the supsension

Massive lap mate, very confident late braking! What tyres were you on?
Thanks, but braking was my biggest issue: The front brake pads were worn, causing it to heat up very rapidly (and hence causing brake bias progression with the rear having to brake too much). Car was very unstable in braking (fishtailing) because of that. I was on Toyo R888R, that were down to the carcass after the day, so i left some margin there as well... -> Lessons learned, got one more chance this year!
