I was 6 in 1964 here in Chicago. It strikes me now that I watch this wonderful film how much we all dressed up for Christmas, Easter too. The cute Mom in this was so proud of the inside of her neatly organized kitchen cabinet. I love it. TY so much for posting. :)

Sooooooo cool! That small metal "fencing" that is in front of the picture window is still there today...according to Google map. Wonder if the family who lives there now knows of this footage? Or is it still in the same family?

Seems as though the deterioration and projector sound was added as an effect. Sad. It doesn't seem random enough to be real. I have several hours of 8mm film. Sure there's a few rough spots, but they tend to be at the start or end of a 50 ft reel. Not constant with the same patterns over and over.

I like feeding the goats and baby farm animals, little donuts and the Polar Express.

When I was there in the mid 60's, I often found the Summers to be a little too much, but I hear that they've warmed up a lot since then,

The suburbs, now the dive. To bad the fountains are all replaced by cell phone and junk kiosks. Fountains don't pay rent i guess.

So nice to see these images, it reminds me of a simpler time. I was 8-10 years old about the time that this 35 mm film was taken. High tech in the day. LOL
