    Great review! I have small children, I plan to use an e-bike to haul them in a hitch trailer. I’ve heard Cadence Sensors are unsafe for that purpose as it’s jerky compared to Torque sensors, does this bike have a bad jerk motion? Other than that I felt it’s the perfect bike.

    • @RadWheeling

    I just got this bike myself, and at 6'4'' tall I find the seat position and the size of this bike to be perfect. The Ranger S would be a better match/similar bike to replace it with for people less gifted in altitude. Almost exactly the same specs in terms of speed and range and the frame construction is similar, if not exactly the same.

    Great video!. I heard this bike suffers a lil from ghost pedaling. Would upgrading to a bigger sprocket help with that? If so, what would u recommend?

    • @RadWheeling
      @RadWheeling 7 місяців тому

      Ghost pedaling is relative to the pedal assist mode that's engaged. The sproket doesn't need to be changed, just the pedal assist setting. I like the way the ebike performs while ghost pedaling because it maintains the highest speed that the pedal assist mode will allow with effortless pressure.

    I had this bike but got rid of it. Issue I didn't like was the battery percentage would drop to zero while riding then fluctuated to the percentage. That created range anxiety not knowing what the true battery percentage was. Adding tannus liners reduced it down 2 mph.

  • @barry4fish19

    There is no assurance this company will exist in 5-7 years when battery needs replacing, therefore it’s a risk that your bike may end up as scrap metal - unless you want to pay exuberant prices to get a battery refurbished - it’s also possible that battery tech will have changed by then and the batteries for bikes will be different somehow. A bike should be a lifetime investment, but so far, I’m not sure e-bikes are designed with that in mind, might just be throw-away like so many other products.

    • @OddBallPerformance
      @OddBallPerformance 5 місяців тому

      You get no assurance like that with any type of vehicle. Even auto manufacturers cease to exist, as over 100 have. Some very very recently too. If you did end up needing a battery and could not buy one, replacing the cells in that case wouldn't actually be that hard and likely cost the same as a new battery would have anyway. It also wouldn't be hard to simply bypass the proprietary battery features and create a pack to sit in the old packs place. At the end of the day all a battery needs is a way to connect 2 wires, power and ground. A simple modification, or adapter harness, and you are cooking with fire again.

  • @Billy-cs4cc
    @Billy-cs4cc 7 місяців тому

    No. When you have a cadence sensor it's like air pedaling and frankly it sucks.

    • @RadWheeling
      @RadWheeling 7 місяців тому

      Thanks for watching and commenting. I find that when I have the pedal assist setting set so that the speed is limited when using the cadence sensor that I can get some resistance that's good for exercising. I like both sensors for different reasons. It's nice to be able to travel at 28 mph without resistance on the pedals for long distances with the cadence sensor. The torque sensor will wear a person out quick when trying to keep a 28 mph for long distances. I very much prefer the torque sensor for riding in the beach sand, better control for sure.

  • @barry4fish19
    @barry4fish19 8 місяців тому

    You can program that in the app. Just set your PAS 1 or 2 and set it for 10 mph, then your throttle will hold it there when you push it. Also, I thought the tires came with a puncture protection layer inside.

    • @RadWheeling
      @RadWheeling 8 місяців тому

      Thanks for watching and commenting. If the tires had puncture protection it wasn't good enough to seal a hole or protect the tire from a Goathead/Sand Spur that caused the tire to deflate.
