Suomy Apex La Cocca Helmet Review 2018
Do you mind if i ask what something like that cost? I have a 24 id like to do the same
The full Akra system was about $1,700 from RevZilla. Labor for install at Moore Mafia was around $700 and the tune was $650. Add another $300 for the air filter and misc parts.
White boys getting shit done. Again
That v4 engine sound is unmistakable
Nice pipe. Looks good sounds good. Just the right size. Don't want it blocking the view of single swingarm back wheel.

How to remove the db killer??
I can't remember the circumstances with that bike. I believe my mechanic Nate at 2Topia Cycles removed it when doing the install but I don't know the specifics.

Mivv exhaust comes with the full system? I mean the catalytic removal?
@@hector8971 Yes. It came with essentially the mid pipe, so the cat was deleted with this purchase.
Haha sounds like a honda
I think your bike is on fire
OEM air filter or aftermarket? I’m sending my ecu to Moore Mafia tomorrow, wanted to make sure they have a tune for my set up. Akrapovic full exhaust system and K&N air filter
Definetly need an aftermarket air filter. I put KN in mine, but I am willing to bet Chris would say to go with Sprint.
What???? Rev this shit. The idiot start it up and rev like he grab the head of my dick. Noway
i just wish these had the firing order of the early vfr800s and the vfr750s, and a stripped down model! Theyd be perfect
Work to have it done? $500?
I did the easy stuff myself, which leaves the exhaust and jet kit. And I think it was right there - around $475 for that work.
Dude there is no 2019 Ducati Supersport 950s. This is a Supersport S. Euro 4, diffrent story. Easy to see from the red wheels.
Broski le brodizzle, why you mad? Who hurt you?
@@jasonfararooei5722 I told you you gave misinformation in your video and all you think about is trolling? No wonder no one watches your stuff dude. I am not mad, I just told you there is no such thing as a Supersport 950 s from 2019. It‘s the older Supersport S or 939. And that‘s easy to see cause that one still had the red wheels, new 950 s doesn’t. I gotta know it, I drive one myself. And I was looking for the mivv video for my machine. I got shown yours, cause you don’t know the name of your own bike.
Epic. Look cheese drizz, I'm old, fat, washed up and have too many bikes to dig into the details of what this damn thing actually is. I need solutions to problems, not problems to problems. Thus get your mind right, log into my account, fix the title line and recut the video since you're a Ducati God.
Hi Jason, looks like you still have the DB killer in, is that right? It still sounds pretty good with it in. I have a full system on order and am hoping for a good sound improvement without the need to remove the db killer. Yours sounds pretty good.
Congrats on getting your new system, exciting. You'll love it I'm sure. You are correct, we left the DB killer in. I was on the fence about taking it out then, and if I look back I'd still be on the fence about it today. It def sounds a million times better but I often wonder if I should have taken it out bc I think it would sound just right with the DB killer out. Imo it's still too quiet with the silencer in and I'm willing to bet they could have gotten more HP out of the bike with the silencer out. If you get a chance I'd love to hear yours when its done. Congrats again!
@@jasonfararooei5722 Thanks very much for your comprehensive response. I'm not looking for it to sound over the top but I do hope it's a significant improvement on stock. I'll be disappointed if the full system isn't much different to stock given how much money I've put down on it. I too am reluctant to drill it to get the db killer out. I know that a slip on with the cat still in place makes almost zero change, did you find that the full system was at least a bit better than that? Thanks mate.
@@kwakaholic I hear you on that 100 percent. Funny bc that was my exact thinking - I spent too much on this to be tapping holes in it! It def sounds much better over stock - a ton better. Plus the performance differential is extremely noticable. When we did the tune on that bike it didn't make big numbers up top, but the midrange saw significant changes, and the overall happiness of the motor is overwhelming noticable. It breathes so much better and revs cleaner and quicker too. Def worth the 3K USD investment. I did the decel cut delete as well and thoroughly enjoy that too. Keep me posted - I'd love to see your final product!
@jasonfararooei5722 Jason, thanks again for your valuable time responding. I've now watched your video many times 😀 . I think the full system with the silencer in place will be sufficient for me. I don't know if you've seen the original Kawasaki Ninja 1000sx black carbon edition but I've secured that plus my bike is all black. It's going to look spectacular. I'll share some media when it's done. Thanks again mate.

Major difference (positive) in my opinion. Woke up the motor and throttle response was super crisp. Def worth the $350 in my case.
@@jasonfararooei5722 did you tune out the throttle fuel cut

Do they work on getting the quickshifter to operate better both up an down?
No work done to the KQS. And sorry to hear you've had problems with yours.
@@jasonfararooei5722 It is not really a problem just something I noticed. Upshifts are fine, downshifts could be better. Curious as to what Moore charges for a dyno tune by itself if you do all the install work on headers and exhaust. I am considering just an ecu tune with an end can and better air filter. I am sure the fueling and unrestricted mapping would still make this a far better bike than stock.
@@s2k442 I hear you. $450 for the full exhaust install with gaskets and KN Air filter. $425 for the tune.
Back in the day, this bike used to make 146 hp and 85 ft-lb at the wheel with full exhaust and tuning. That was before Kawasaki started neutering it every remake, appeasing the environmental false gods.
Tá com medo de acelerar?
Weak
Just got mine installed last week, really like the sound with the db killer out. One thing I noticed is the way the exhaust gases smell now, pretty strong since there isn't a catalytic converter anymore. Does yours have strong exhaust smell after the tune?
I'm interested to know how they got the DB killer out - Chris' team would have had to remove rivets or cut into the exhaust can. To answer your specific question, yes to smell.....the fragrance of freedom!!!! "Murica
The exhaust smell shouldn't be particularly strong. With tuning and proper fuel mapping you should be running exactly correct stoichiometric ratio in your particular elevation. If you're smelling cold-start exhaust, that's one thing. Factory runs lean most times anyway. With the catalyzer installed, the smells are generally modified.
@lifted_above No cats have a unique smell, same as on a V8 without cats etc. Same kinda smell and an obvious smell if you know what it is.
@@legendarymark112 I sort of said the same thing?
@lifted_above Even with proper fuelling it has a unique smell that's much much more obvious (and stronger than with cats/stock muffler). So not really the same as what I said.
These videos don't mean shit without riding it. idle and baby revs mean nothing
So the bike comes stock with 140 and with a full system and tune you are getting 133?! Understand ground vs crank, but this isn't a good tune
1) Odd you'd believe the 140 claimed in marketing material 2) gains were realized in the mid range 3) how do I schedule with you for your superior tune?
2011 was the first year of this bike. It had different cams in it back then and it made more of everything. But all the other tech hadn't been added yet, it was still cable throttle etc. Yay to Euro 5 🙄
Где можно купить? Подскажите пожалуйста в Россию возможно отправка?
Got a 2020 DRZ400SM with 87 miles on it. Got it for a trade for fixing my Uncles 2016 Road Glide Special. Everything stock. Will definitely be going with replacing the exhaust system and then upgrade the carb.
This slip-on shows more of that nice back tire which is great, but the question is, does it work with the oem panniers since it is angled up a bit ?
That was one of the main reasons I went with that exhaust, to let that side of the bike breathe, visually. In terms of the saddle bags, I can't speak to that unfortunately bc I never had them with or on the bike.
@jasonfararooei5722 I will have to check with the salesman in a shop over here in Sweden that has a used -12 for sale if the saddlebags will fit with any aftermarket exhaust. The only thing that is missing from this bike, is the sound of any other V4 bike like the Tuono or even the VFR800F, those bikes sounds amazing. I have heard this bike with a full system without catalytic converters on it and it still sounds kinda boring. Def not one of the sexier motorcycle sounds which is a shame since it is a nice engine configuration which in other bikes sounds great. Other than the sound this bike rides amazing, good acceleration, great top speed and it actually turns! Even though she is heavy for a sport bike it is one of those amazing feelings where the manufacturer really hid it's weight in a magical way =) The used 2012 one at the dealer is in black color and I do not know if its default from factory or if previous owner changed it but it has really good LED front lights and they have that white almost "blueish" light that you see on newer cars (xenon lights) that matches the bike in black really good. So that VFR1200F actually looks really decent for being a big, 12 year old sport tourer and they sell it for 7000€ with OEM panniers, heated grips and only 15000 miles on her. I think it is a lot of bike for the money, being Honda I can put 4 times as many miles on her on my alp trips in Europe every summer without being worried about something breaking =)
Hey Jason, does the tune allow you to get over 155 or is the gearing restrict it to that?
It's a question that's been on my mind for awhile, just haven't tested it yet. Will let you know where we end up with that!!
It should in theory. With the gearing it should max at 159. This bike can REALLY benefit from taller gear ratio’s, with different sprockets and the tune/exhaust 160+ shouldn’t be out of the question
Stock electronic limiter can be switched off. The rest is gearing and horsepower.
Confirmed 170mph at 11.5 rpm in 6th gear. It does remove the 155mph limiter.
What's the rev limit set to ?
11.5 if memory serves.
Hey Jason, with the tune is the bike still somewhat tamed? I have one as well, but haven’t been riding long and like the fact that it doesn’t want to stand out under hard throttle. Does Chris’s tune change that? Or did you ask him to make it easier to wheelie or not to. I’m sure he can tune it either way, just curious. Thanks and ride safe!
What's up Adam, I hope you're well. In short, the tune absolutely unleashes the power of the bike. In all the modes minus Rain, you've got access to the entire motor and ecu tables in an unrestricted format. This is why I would def not classify it as tame, and call it the exact opposite. And this is where traction control and custome rider modes come into play. The lowest TC setting resides in sport mode and will let the bike wheelie throughout gears about an inch and that's it (it works incredibly well and is very consistent and reliable). I imagine you could ask Chris or your tuner to (for lack of better way to say it) set your tables to say, 80% or 90% rather than completely unrestricted but if you've got access to rider modes and custom settings, my thinking is why limit yourself at the ecu, make the power refinements at the rider mode levels, since you yourself have control over that. I will say it's a very different motor and bike after the tune. When you get on it, it will naturally wheelie through third. I will also say in sport and custom mode I have a lot more respect for the bike - give the tires a lot more time to be at temp and am very choosey about road surface quality when I do give it the sauce. Side note - I opted for the decel cut delete and am pleased with it. I know a lot of guys are hesitant to do it, but I like it a lot. Overall I'd absolutely do this whole process again with the bike if I had to do it all over again. I hope this helps. Happy riding my friend.
Hey Jason, I have this same bike and dislike the 155 top speed. Does the flash get rid of that?
@@jasonfararooei5722Do you still have the same exhaust or did you go to another? Or did you just drill out the pot rivets for the silencer? If so how does it sound now? I like a loud bike, but not harley loud lol.
@@legendarymark112 Originally I asked for the silencer to be removed. Chris then said it was riveted into the can. So I opted not to cut on a brand new muffler lol. So the silencer is in there. And I will say the Akro system is too quiet for my liking.
@jasonfararooei5722 Alright thanks. Have you heard any others in person that you might recommend that are louder, but not super loud?
what exhaust do you have? shopping for one that blocks less of the wheel!
The Competition Werkes GP exhaust.
Is it the DCT model that had a fully automatic gearbox?
It is not DCT model. And while on the topic of transmission, I'll just go on record and say I was never a fan of the feel. It was always clunky feeling to me.
Questions for you. Did you have to buy the servo eliminator kit? Or did you not have to. I have heard that gas mileage becomes quite low if you run the bike with the exhaust and no servo. How hard was it to connect if you did buy a servo eliminator?
I did not buy and install the servo eliminator kit. When I did the exhaust it went along with the major service that included valve timing etc.. Power Commander V went on as well. As expected I got more HP out of it (sorry don't remember) and for me most importantly throttle response was then dead on. That bike drank gas before the install and the same amount after the install. Definitively, I noticed no change +/- in fuel economy.

Hey Jason. I'm getting to send my ECU to Chris for a flash om my 20'. Little different system, I have the factory headers with a cat delete pipe from Max Torque and a Leo Vince Factory S end can. I really like the way your tune turned out. If it is ok I would include your name and approximate date of the video to Chris so he can tailor the flash for my app. Just looking for rideabilty more than top end. Thanks in advance and ride safe!
Congrats buddy, you'll love it - it's a totally different bike after the tune/flash. Yeah man for sure include my name. Chris was great during the process and I learned a lot from him. Let me know how you like the flash! Also you doing the decll cut delete? Best wishes my friend.
@@jasonfararooei5722 Thanks for the quick reply. Yes Sir definitely doing the decel cut delete as well as getting rid of the throttle restrictions and getting a fuel map to match my mods. I realize I'll have some pops and crackles with fuel overrun but wanna keep them tamed down. Chris has done enough of these bikes, I'm sure he has a tune that will get me close to my goal. Thanks again for the response and ride safe Sir!
@@DB-so8zc How is the modified tune working for you? I was thinking of the exact same setup as you from Max Torque. How was the install and cutting the header to make the cat delete work? Thanks
@@s2k442 Well worth the money! Taking the the throttle limitations off and fixing the fuel cut makes the rideablity of the bike even better. BecauseI kept the factory header my guess is I didn't gain any hp/tq but with the link pipe install and the aftermarket can it sounds (subjective) really nice without being obnoxious. I have put at least 10k miles since the mod with zero issues. As far as the deleting the cat/resonator I removed the header from the bike. The instructions from MT are really good and with a good cutoff wheel the job is simple. I took nearly 23 lbs off the bike with the mod. Link pipe fit great! Ride safe

Hey mate, just saw your drz400sm video - love the setup. Was going to ask about the license plate setup.. did you buy a kit to mount your plate there, or did you mount it like that yourself? Many thanks from New Zealand!
Hey buddy. Glad you liked the drz setup. Originally I used the TST Industries tiddy tail kit, but with the Yoshi exhaust (and it's deleted db killer) it shook the tail end way too much. Would almost cause the plate to come off. So I used two of the "L" brackets from the kit to under sling the license to the frame. It works, looks super clean, but is probably less than legal. I would also note that airflow from the rear wheel has further pressed the plate into an almost fully horizontal position.
I wanted (and still do) a VFR1200 but I couldn't find one in my price range. I love that V-4 sound and feel (I had a 1997 honda magna). I ended up getting a 09 concours 14 the past weekend. To bad Honda doesn't make the VFR1200 anymore.
09 Concours will roast you like a pig at a pig roast. I had one great bike except the bad fairing design.
No matter what exhaust, the bike still doesn’t sound good. What was Honda thinking
Doesn’t look good either😅 I’m glad I kept my 800
It was thinking 170 hp that will run 100,000 miles no problem
Worst V4 sound ever. Just like a bmw boxer or a benelli TRK501.
Yeah it sure sounds bad for a V4 engine. Imagine if it sounded like the Aprilia Tuono V4. I have heard that the VFR 800 sounds better but that bike almost feels like a Yamaha MT-07 powerwise.
@@mathias6423 The VFR800 has a different crankshaft angle, so it sounds like a crossplane V4. That's the sound we like to hear from a V4, or even a R1 crossplane engine.
