If you British people are dissatisfied with your country, you should work hard to change it instead of running to Thailand to escape. After all, this is not your home. You should know how many Hong Kong people have immigrated to the UK to escape reality. Does that mean Hong Kong is a failed region two levels worse than Thailand?

I'm thai and have been living with my british husband in the uk for over 12 years now. I used to really love it here. Because of the weather! 😅 it's much cooler here! But in the last few years, i started to feel different! Yes, it's still much cooler, but... it's very miserable! Especially, this time of year. I haven't seen the sun for almost 2 weeks now!! 😫 my husband would love to move to Thailand. He keeps asking me if we could go and live in thailand. But it's me who's not quite sure if that is going to be the right decision! I think living in thailand it could be cheaper than in the uk. But i still think you still need to have some money or income! And most importantly that i worry about is "seeing the dr." I know that seeing the dr.in thailand is a lot easier than in the uk. But to get a good treatment or good medication you got to have enough money to pay for a private hospital. Unless you pay a lot of money for "health insurance" but would it covered cancer or anything like that? So this stuff kind of put me off a bit when i thinking about moving back to thailand to be honest! 😅 but after hearing what you said in this video plus what i've seen everyday on the news in the uk. I am starting to think maybe we should do it!! 😊 (sorry, for my very long comment!) 😅

I moved to thailand 2 years ago myself for exactly the same reasons you have said in this video. I'm from london and i got totally fed up with it. But like you said, in the summer time it is awesome. the other 9 months of the year suck

With everything in life it comes down to money. I can assure you Thailand and most other places in the world will feel absolutely miserable if your ever in the position wondering where your gonna get your next meal, months rent from.

As a Chinese, i dont feel safe living in Thailand, becasue in recent years, there are a lot of Chinese was kidnapped in Thailand, some of them were transferred to Cambodia or Burma. but i think criminals are just target to our Chinese, so i feel foreigners are still being safe in Thailand.

The UK is an absolute joke. I cannot wait to leave. We're being taken advantage of here. We pay so much and get nothing good in return. Out roads are horrible, state of the NHS is horrible, can't get an NHS dentist, food is expensive and meh, tube in london is dirty and the service is poor, the dirty streets, phone snatchings, stabbings and now shootings in london are crazy, train prices to travel around the country are sky high, wages are low, rental prices and house prices are ridiculous, childcare costs too. There's literally nothing good about being in this country. They even announced today that they're going to put up uni fees next year...

Every era has its hardships, that was true for the 80s, 90s, 2000s and so on. It’s always a cycle, somehow people always navigate and succeed. There are so many great things in the UK, it’s not a dystopian hell, i think people have forgotten how to adapt (besides the crime rates increasing which I haven’t witnessed in 17 years living there) we are not entitled to anything, some people have it way harder than in the UK and keep smiling everyday with 1$ a day. Public services work, it’s organised well, clean, functioning, yes there are pockets of poverty but overall it’s not Afghanistan ! It’s what people expect and make of their life that makes it a misery in the UK, nothing is supposed to be given on a platter

Memories are just memories, they go with you as you travel and create new memories. Leaving a place does not take away the memories you have. The UK Summertime is the only time of the year when British people are more upbeat, less reserved and are less at each others' throats. At the end of this life, the only thing we will have - is memories and experiences. Material possessions don't mean a thing at that stage.

It’s the same situation in Canada, mortgage debt, helocs , interest rates , 40% in taxes , carbon taxes on energy costs, fees on everything you can imagine, and wages haven’t kept up with inflation . Other countries with lower standards of living are looking attractive due to the ability to live a less stressful lifestyle.

I left and live in Thailand 8 years ago now with my 2 kids and a thai wife. Ready cooked meals in the big c supermarket can be bought for 25 baht or 30 baht. In 7 11 they are between 37 baht to 49 baht. Minimun Wages have not gone up here in 13 years. Nationals can buy or build a house for between £20k up country to £125k for a big 4 bed house on the outskirts of bkk. Foreigners can buy condos freehold anywhere for aout £20k upwards or cheaper to rent out for a minimum of 100 pounds a month and invest your caoutal in gold to double your return in 5 years. Houses amd land only go up 10% a year here. It is a different housing market to uk as only thais can buy land and houses. Food street meals is still available at 30 baht....the same prices as 30 years ago. Tesco lotus food court food is from 30 baht to 65 baht. Cars start at £7k for a suzuki celerio manual or 319,000 baht. New. A honda civic costs 1m baht. And mg5 costs 590,000 baht. Most smaller cars are from 500,000 to 600,000 baht.
