CandCNC controller Working as is should!
Переглядів 1,1 тис.8 років тому
A big thanks to Luke at CandCNC for helping fix the problems i was having with this controller and system. They changed a internal board, and changed settings for pulse width to get this table to not add and skip steps on the drive motors. It seems to be finally fixed and working as it should. Ive made a couple detailed test cuts this morning and it's now working like a champ. I built this tabl...

Jeep XJ and Little Moab known as Holliday Hill
I've seen the fan motors for replacements
When i searched in February 2024. They are not available. The only fans/ motors available are for the GTA's.
Great Video. Thank you for sharing.
Came for jeep project. 👍like to have one when budget allows.
Question I have is I have fuel coming out the nipple next to return nipple. Where does the hose from there go or is there supposed to be fuel coming from there? Thank you for the video it’s helped a lot. I now need to replace the main fuel line and filter annnnd primer bulb
Its been a little while. But i think they both go to the carb on these. Thee small vent nippel is the one that is easy to break.
Your links dont work
Good video, for me the welded nuts on the back side broke😂
I’m going crazy. I’ve tried this too and the easy out is stripping thru too. I think I’m going to have to use my drummel and cut a line for a flat head. 😵💫🤬
Drilling the head off. Then make sure you verify the drill was centered in the bolt. Then drill a hole in the center and see if that will relive the pressure enough to easy out the bolt. I’ve had some that were so bad I’d have to make a new plate.
Awesome sauce! Thanks. I just stripped one really good and starting to on the other side. Someone else was advising to use a propane tank but I’m concerned about the paint. This I’m going to try right now. I was trying my extractor bits like yours but the technique was slightly different. 👍
Thank you!
thanks chad great video..
Repeats and repeats the same thing . Never shows how to
It’s not a how to video. Have to have a certain level of mechanic ability. Very very simple fix.
LOVE that scroll wheel shortcut. All these years using inkscape for vector graphics, and I somehow never caught that tip! 😂
Do you still sell this? Website says not set up to take payment
Thank you
Good tips. I had some that were badly ate up. They ruined my lisle made in USA torx bit. I went to auto zone and it was made in Taiwan. It survived the worst ones and did the job with no damage to the tool. Surprised me. I'm always USA.
Just weld a nut to the head of the bolt.
Thanks for the review! ive been on the old candcnc ethercut 11 system. now going to upgrade to the command cnc program.
Any insight here? Replaced my fuel line, but there is an open nipple to the right. I believe that is from where my leak is located. Thanks.
The nipple is probably broken. Or cracked.
Don't break da knees...oye...
Thanks for the tips and tricks itll help a ton im sure. You seem like a wise man with experience.
I’ve been rebuilding vehicles since the late 80s.
My saw annoyingly has the nipple for the primer/purge bulb but is not equipped with a primer or purge bulb. I stuffed a poulan duckbill check valve on that spot and called it a day, even though I should probably just put a length of fuel line on it perhaps.
Exactly what my problem was. Easy fix... back to cutting!!
Thank you sir you saved my day
Your welcome
My problem when cutting aluminum is trying to grind off the dross. aluminum just plugs up my grinding wheels an flap discs.
If your getting a lot of dross your cut speed is not quite right yet. Adjust until you have almost no dross.
thanks for the most useless video i have ever seen, nothing but blah, blah, blah, with no actual fix shown......clown show video
never really thought of the leverage thing, next time i use an easy out imma grab a tap handle...same principle as taps and ive used em a thousand times can't believe i didnt think of it till i watched you, thanks man preciate it.
If you have room to use then they are great. There are a lot of locations there is no room to use one.
How about a laser rust remover would that work as good as the others. I don't have one to try anyway.
Haven’t tried one. Most average person probably won’t spend that much money on a tool like that. Unless it’s their business and then they won’t be watching a UA-cam how to video. 🤔
Haha didn’t fix anything just said it’s easy
Thank you Chad
Thank you for the help!
how do i save my drawing in inkscape in a gcode for plasma cutting?
Inkscape only creates the vector SVG files for your drawing. To convert the SVG to Gcode the drawing will need to be run through a program like Sheetcam. Once imported and converted it can then be saved as a Job/ Gcode file.
Part 2 not as good as Part 1. Thank you so much.
I just came across one of these saws that leaked on it’s side. After cleaning it of sawdust and oil, O opened it up and the return line was through the saw housing and stopped. I’ve been looking a diagrams trying to find where it connects to the tank and your video popped up. Thanks. It was driving me nuts
Can you give a break down on the wiring for a din radio on that truck?
Can’t remember off the top of my head. Yellow and red are the power and ignition wires on newer trucks. Unless additional speakers were added most of those trucks only had one speaker in the dash. Not sure what has been added or changed for your truck.
Hi! I saw your other video on how to use script fonts for cnc on Inkscape couldn't comment there . So I might have a silly question, but I'm wanting to know if we can control the font width & height in Inkscape for script fonts/monoline fonts . For example 8mm width(thickness) & 100mm height for each letter in the word. 😊 thanks . I'm talking about the brush stroke thickness not the individual letters themselves . Hope u got my question 😅😅
Watched a couple of your videos and it has been very helpful. I'm only a week in on the completion of my table using Inkscape. Sheetcam and CancCNC so I have a long way to go. Now I am trying to sort through details of torch height set up. Even though its been awhile since you posted videos I have used to help myself, thank you!
Theresa Wolf No problem. I’d start your touch height setting around 120 volts.
Thanks for the tutorial. I plan on installing a new sony head unit
Im going to check my saw right now, mine leaks the same way, i wonder if its the same problem.
It’s a very common problem with these saws.
Chad, I have a 4x4 table (mostly assembled), torch, computer and controller that came from C and CNC. It was purchased by a friend and never finished putting it together. I am looking for someone with experience to help me complete and get this thing cutting. I am in Southern PA but willing to load it all up and drive it to someone that could help. I am willing to pay for the time of someone qualified to get it running of course. Do you have anyone you can recommend? As soon as my registration is approved, I hope to ask the same on their forum but wondering if you may know?
Tony Stanford let me know when your ready.
How do you remove the air filter on top ? Cannot get to the lines without removing it .
I have Candcnc system too and they answer the phone and get you running.Bullet proof system.I have been running it for years.
gary weber I’ve been running it for about 4 years now.
Mine is leaking from that hole between the 2 hoses. Your screwdriver is right on top of it at 0:39 in the video. I replaced the return line, and now my saw leaks gas from that hole when I press the primer. Any ideas on that? Is there supposed to be plug covering it up?
It looks like something should go in that hole you are talking about, did you find what goes in that hole?
thats where mine appears to me leaking a well. Replaced the line and that is where its leaking.
Mine is leaking there also, anyone know what that is?
Add me to the list too please! My saw appears to have 3 nipples…
Thanks for the tip. I thought it was the tank vent but I checked this and found the leak.
Some people just like to complain and some people spent $3000 and got terrible customer service from the folks at candcnc. If you do have issues and you complain they lock you out of their forum. It sounds like you had problems right from the start. That was their fault. Having to send something that is brand new back, is a red flag.
Luke Gosselin I have not had this kind of issue with them.
Thanks. Big help. Appreciate it.
why dont you show how to fix it quit saying its an easy fix and show us thats what the video is for right??
I have the same movement when i press green button to turn the motors on. What is the cure. I am just getting started and super green. I cant even get this thing to recognize the z probe and switch.
The problem I had was in the original set up. The step width was off and had to be changed. All the new units that have been sold should have this corrected setting. My board was gaining and loosing steps. as a result of this the 2 motors was traveling at different amounts. As far as the Z axis. Everything you need is in your owners "Novel"/ Manual. If its not seeing your limit or your Omatic touch you have a setting that needs changed or you have a bad connection.
Thanks for this. I am actually taking notes and documenting the steps. One question. I see your hyperthem is set to max on the machine. Is this correct for all hypertherms as command cnc takes over.
It depends on the model. If your running an older cutter you will have to adjust it manually. On the PM 45 you set it to max.
@@chadfox4097 i have a newer pm85
I am not familiar with those. Best bet would be to contact Hypertherm. They would be able to answer if the voltage is controlled remotely. Their customer service is awesome. 👍
Where did you get your gantry parts and z axis? Thanks
