I indeed prefer the overlay style as some shadows look really dark in my opinion. The palette is awesome tho and I like how each tutorial reuses previous concepts + some exclusive tricks !

Hi Joel, thanks for this video, I've been super interested in this as an upgrade from my Samsung note 10. Can you possibly tell me if it is capable of streaming via twitch while using it for drawing? I know you mention it struggles with multiple apps being open, but hoping 2 apps isn't too taxing.

OH! Y'know, I've watched a couple of reviews about this tablet and I believe you are the first person to mention that the XP Magic Drawing Pen has a PC mode, similar to how Samsung tablets have Samsung Dex. Thank you for mentioning this otherwise I would've have known. Now I'm curious to know more about how the PC mode on this tablet performs and whether or not this means that you can use this tablet with an external monitor. If you have experimented more with those features, do you mind talking more in depth about it for those curious?

Is there a text tool? I think it could be really useful.

so gradient doesn’t really work for me when i try it doesn’t give me the circle affect that it gives you and it doesn’t show up any advice??

A hint regarding the star sky -- it's possible to use any brush to draw shapes, so I selected circle and that splatter brush, and it gave me an interactive splatter which I could move and reshape to my liking, while being still sparse

For some reason, my clay roller never runs out of paint in a stroke. I've messed with flow in all the settings, but I can't get it to dry out. Excellent tutorial, BTW. I used it for my partner and I to do something together while we're long distance. It was so great!

I really want to give this tablet a chance for all the good points you talked about, but it's running an Android OS that's two versions behind. XP-Pen says that this tablet is incapable of ever getting OS upgrades and I fear this will affect long-term compatability with any or all art apps down the line. Great review!

I would love it if you could throw some tips and explanations on why you use things, why you start a certain way or why one technique is better than another etc. So long story short: the why’s of your choices. It would make these videos even more educational and useful. But even as is, i love the content ❤

Is there any way to change like the pressure of the pen? so it the line u make gets darker without drawing a 2nd line above the 1st line?

Really great tutorial. Been having some frustration though with working with the fine blender brush, it doesnt seem to behave like yours on my one? It is hard and harsh so i enabled pressure on it but it seems random whether it wants to be soft or hard. Using s pen. Also the colour palatte you uploaded, including the image reference, is darker than the colours you used in the tutorial? The blue sky colour you used in the gradient for instance is more dark bluey grey on the app for me.
