Hello everyone! My name is Brendan, and I'm a life-long music lover (particularly instrumental music). My other channels I have been using to post content are TaedTundra, as well as PhishGuy20 (the former is mostly gaming videos, and the latter has a messy history attached to it). So I have decided to create this channel so that I can distinguish myself and have one main hub to post my music related projects.
To the 100% of Phish fans who are subbed to me, I may also post video essays, documentaries, and other types of projects based on completely different genres such as classical, film/video game soundtrack, and jazz fusion.
My goal is purely to inspire people through presenting what music has to offer. I don't want to be enemies with any rights holding companies. I'm literally a single person making projects out of PURE PASSION for music.
Musicians on my banner from left to right: Seba, Tchaikovsky, Trey Anastasio, Chopin, Jeremy Soule, Scriabin, Peter Gabriel, and Miles Davis.

Phish - 2014 Documentary "We keep it rollin'!"
0:00 Intro
0:57 Origin of the Fuego album
2:05 Funky Bitch 4/26/14 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival
2:16 Summer tour
2:52 Trey's tone during the summer
4:30 The vibe of the tour (Randall's Island Disease 7/11/14, Orange Beach Disease 8/1/14)
4:46 Alpharetta Chalkdust 8/3/14; Less covers, more originals
5:23 "Fuego" tour
6:21 SPAC Fuego 7/4/14 (A light groove comes out the song, gently turns to major, as Trey finds a rising motif that sows the seeds for building up to an anthemic catharsis)
6:48 Mann Fuego 7/8/14 (A dive into the unknown. Much like the 7/5/13 Split Open and Melt, this one doesn't have the strength of other big jams, but helps lay the foundation for the summer's jamming style)
7:18 Portsmouth Fuego 7/30/14 (Almost immediately takes a dark foggy turn into a Melt style jam, turns into gritty space funk, and brightens up while almost referencing the Randall's Chalkdust)
8:20 Dick's Lushington gag 8/29/14
9:26 Trey's orchestral tour
9:54 Miami NYE run
10:09 Segues (Portsmouth Piper -❯ Billy Breathes, Merriweather YEM/I Been Around 7/27/14)
10:52 Back on the Tweezer Train 7/27/14
12:22 Portsmouth Meatstick 7/30/14 (Gaining almost half a million views, features a weighty performance of the song with a lot of punch to it, then instantly dives into slow 97 style funk with great Mike, and briefly intensifies into psychedelic Hendrix territory)
14:19 Dick's Simple 8/29/14 (All groove, whether it be ecstatic bliss rocking, or forceful bass lead funk. This one is a staple of the 2010s, and one of "Dick's" most famous jams.)
16:09 Chicago Scent of a Mule 7/20/14 (Really fun version featuring Fish on marimba, while the other three play on his kit)
16:55 SPAC Gin 7/3/14
17:34 Chicago Wedge 7/20/14 (Out of the song into typical 2014 polyrhythmic interplay, gets a little darker and funkier, before Fish brings back the classic Wedge beat, and Trey finds a beautiful chord progression which sees full realization)
18:51 BGCA Moma Dance "We Are The Champions" 10/29/14 (San Francisco Giants win game seven of the World Series)
19:27 BGCA Walfredo 10/27/14 (The last performance of Walfredo)
19:50 BGCA Twist 10/28/14
20:22 The Dogs 10/31/14
21:02 Your Pet Cat 10/31/14
21:42 Wombat
22:10 Vegas Sand 10/31/14 (Intense version of Sand which turns into plinko style jamming, Mike changes keys, and Trey finds a two note rhythm which ends up driving the rest of the jam into one of the most badass, quintessentially Vegas sounding pieces of music they've ever played).
23:20 Vegas You Enjoy Myself 11/2/14 (One of the greatest version of YEM of the decade. Everyone is grooving their asses off for a long stretch until they organically reach Mike's solo and Trey goes crazy with the bullhorn, ends up with all four on the drumkit)
24:28 Miami Weekapaug 1/2/15 (Counts as 2014's NYE run)
25:03 Inglewood Down with Disease 10/24/14

Phish 1992: Capturing the Spirit of the Early '90s [Documentary]
Переглядів 32 тис.5 місяців тому
This is by far the biggest project I have ever made, and my first feature documentary film. My love letter to 1992 Phish, and *early '90s and small venue Phish in general.* This project, that has been in the works since summer 2020, aims to combine the best of my highlights format, as well as documentary aspects. Unlike the 83-87 video, this one is overflowing with narrated excerpts and intervi...
Phish 1992: The Documentary [Trailer]

Sometime in 2020 I started editing the first ever "1.0 Highlights" video, for 1992, as I was really deep into 80s and early 90s Phish at the time. It was very on and off alongside all of my other projects that are already up for you guys to watch. Then I finally decided to finish it, and posted it in January 2022, as just being an hour long jam highlights like the other videos. Then my PhishGuy...

An overlooked year in 3.0, as most of the shows were just pretty good/average. Trey had just released Ghosts of the Forest and played a bunch of shows with Fish and members from TAB, which influenced the sound of the tours. Trey was also in the middle of finding acceptance over the loss of his close friend Chris Cottrell, which probably added to what was, in terms of improvisation, one of the m...
Phish: 2013 - Finding the "Mojo" Again

2013, a year that revolutionized post-reunion Phish. One that showed us that they were fully back and capable of overdelivering the goods. While it is not stacked to the brim with gold throughout its entirety, this is one of *those* years, containing moments that may change your life. I know it did for me. The band truly started to hone in on their musical narrative abilities, resulting in jams...

(Originally posted September 2022) Coming off the heels of 2011, the band had discovered a new level of improv they hadn't seen in over 10 years. They continued to experiment heavily, as well as have a ton of fun while doing it. This year is of course famous for the legendary 2nd ever run at Dick's Sporting Goods Park, where the band kicked off the run with one of their all timer shows, 8/31/12...
Phish - 2011 Highlights: Wholesomeness Meets Dark and Deranged

(Originally posted September 2022) This video goes out to everyone who underrates this year! We all know Dick's 2012/all of 2013 is where 3.0 *really clicked* , but this year right here is where the ground work was being laid. HUGE step up from 2010 in terms of improvisation. From beautiful melodic exploration to full on dark demented twisted mind melting stuff. I spent a whole lot of time on t...

(Originally posted August 2022) The start of the new era! Four and a half years after Coventry, the band was renewed, and although rusty, ready to prove themselves once more, by practicing pretty much every song in their catalogue. The jam style was of course reminiscent of 2.0, but not as dark; With also the beginning of 'plinko' jamming. 0:00 Fluffhead 3/6/09 3:07 Hampton Ghost 3/7/09 3:44 Ha...

Still playing bars and university auditoriums and whatnot, the band had released their first official album on cassette "Junta", and was aiming to drastically tighten their playing and show flow. The experimentation and goofiness of the mid 80s was still fully present. Trey had finished his senior thesis album "The Man Who Stepped Into Yesterday", enabling them to open their shows up to a rabbi...
My "Phish Highlights in a Semi-Documentary Format" Explained!

I've been at this steadily for the past 5 years, and I think it's now time to show everyone what I've been up to! For the record, I'm not exactly a young fan. I discovered this band in 2006 not too long after Coventry, which makes me a part of the 'middle child' subgroup of the community, and I always like meeting other phans who share my backstory of getting on the train during the blackout pe...

This is the first episode in my original series covering the live years of the band Phish. The series will be a combination of quality highlights, interview clips, footage of shows, pictures, and other fun stuff from the band's history. I'm basically trying to put every aspect of this band on full display to show why Phish phans are, well, Phish phans, and why they don't just listen to a handfu...
Phish - A Tribute to Fall and NYE 2018

(Originally posted January 2021) In terms of late 3.0, this tour and the Baker's Dozen were the best runs they did at that time. This tour carried a similar tone to Summer 2015. The band was more aggressive than usual, and on a mission. Shredding hyped up peaks paired with spacey, ultimately sci-fi style jamming. 2018 wasn't a year that really had a absolute Jam of the Year/Jam of the Tour, lik...
Phish - 2018 Summer Highlights (The first "Phish Highlights" video)
Переглядів 226Рік тому
(Originally posted September 2020) The first ever "Phish Highlights" video I ever did, as 2018 was the year I went from being a casual fan since the breakup period, to someone who knows the live catalogue almost front and back. It started out as a 15 minute video with a handful of segments from both tours, but it got blocked because I used SBDs. So I swapped them out with AUDs and realized it w...

(Originally posted August 2022) The year of the shortest jams, but still plenty of fun. Look I’m no expert on 2010, and I’m sure most aren’t unless it was a big tour year for them, but, “finding their footing part 2”. 0:00 Greek Cities 8/6/10 (A famous type 1 version for good reasons) 1:42 Cities 10/29/10 2:20 Tweezer 12/30/10 (Foreshadowing AC Tweezer 11/2/13) 3:11 Chalkdust 6/25/10 (Top quali...
