Lol learn to use a red dot. Keep both eyes open and you can 100% cover the glass and it doesn’t matter at all. Your eyes WILL correct and the sight picture will be perfect. Don’t believe me, painter’s tape off the front of the glass and try it.

Did you use the plastic play time out your optic or did you buy an aftermarket metal one?

$900 is not bad for the package, buy a glock 17 for $600 then pay $280 for front serrations and an optic cut out, $240 for supressor barrel, $120 for trijicon supressor sights and then do the math.

Hello everyone, I just received my Vortex Venom red dot, I got right to it, patience is needed when putting the battery in, but, if you push the battery in snug it will stay in place and the cap will not have the resistance from the battery and the cap went with little problem. Just don't force it in tight just get it to stay in place.

Mine cane with no half moon cut out, gray mags, and FS front serrations. 😎

I like the gun but the trigger is kinda sucky. However replacing the trigger can damage the gun if you're not careful so I probably won't replace it because I'm not that good at that kind of stuff.

I have my 3rd replacement venom coming from vortex. The first one didn’t turn on. One of the battery tabs was bent flat. They replaced it. The replacement had 2 small dots an inch above the main dot. They rotated with the sight. When turned off the two small dots stayed on! I returned it for replacement again. The third dot showed up a few days ago. It was worse. It has the same two extra dots but this time a half inch low and left. It also had 2 more dots and a half moon that were a good half inch from the main dot. When I turn off the venom once again the main dot shuts off but all the extra dots and half moon stayed lit up. When I remove the battery they disappear. Vortex is sending me one more venom replacement. If it’s defective they volunteered to refund me directly. The sight was on sale for $90 off at PSA for $169 shipped. I hate to say it, but now I know why. IMO that’s what happens when a company doesn't make and produce their own products. I am sure I will end up getting refunded and switch brands. BTW I never checked to see if ANY of them would adjust up and down and left to right....other issues prevented me from going any farther with them. Vortex was nice but imo they didn't beleive me on the first two that I sent in. I took pictures of the the current one with all the dots and moon lit up when turned off. They thought it was a reflection till I told them I also checked it in complete darkness. They definitely have some issues going on with the venom. I also had the battery door chew up trying to install the first battery with the bent battery clip. After further thinking i will be asking for a refund and returning the replacement when it gets her. I’ve lost all faith in them.

No way I’m spending $230 and having the battery door flying off! I’ll spend an extra $100 and get a real sight!!

It’s more expensive because it comes with more options stock from the factory. Add up what a stock Glock would cost to do all this.

Expected more right out of the box 509 tactical; “Thread Pitch was out of spec”, according to FN. How do I know this? Well I spent over 900 for it and tried to put on a 1/2x28 Silencer; and it was a huge no-go. So had to spend money on a box and more of my time that I freely give to others to send it back to FN (THE ENTIRE PISTOL, instead of just the barrel). I expected more from a pistol costing over 900. Went with the FN because my Glock slides were not consistently cycling and returning to battery with a silencer. Will have to get it to the range,…but very disappointed with Quality Control for this price

Just got the compact tactical model and while doing drills for mag changes, I hate the ambi mag release. I need more practice but the right side (I’m a RH shooter), but the release sticks out too far

I think it’s worth 900.00 . The one I just purchased came with a red dot already installed and a rebate for 2 extra free 24 round magazines. Great pistol.👍

Mine failed after about 100 rounds. Would tighten the battery cover and it got worse and worse, would turn off while firing. Got to the point where it would turn off just by sending the slide forward. Will be returning it. Getting something else.

CZ P09T half the price, twice the gun. Have both...CZ is never jammed and extremely accurate. FN is a fan boy weapon. Save your money and use it for ammo and training.

The FN grip texture is very effective, sometimes a bit to effective. I did handgun class and put 750 rounds through it in 2 days. My hand was very torn up by the time the class was over. I'm surprised I was not bleeding. I ordered some rubber talon grip tape as soon as I got home. Other thing is the striker. I had seen people saying the factory striker is not good enough and will break, so I ordered a heavy duty striker before I went to the class. I brought it with me but did not install it. Sure enough the factory striker broke halfway through the second day. I would say I had put about 300 rounds through it before I went to the class and probably about 500 or so during the class before it shit the bed. After replacing it I have had no other issues.

So many reports of that battery door flying off and hitting people in the face. Paying $200+ parts should not be flying off while doing the one thing it's made to do.

Slide cuts are to reduce weight to increase the spreed of the slide reciprocation. Ported barrels are great to control recoil for follow up shots. Just put light film of Vaseline before shooting. Do you store/carry it in the original package? NO! That’s why you have range bags. Do you want them to charge an additional $50? I run Staccatos but still love my M&P with the Apex trigger.You obviously are a new shooter and not so good contented creator not an experienced gunner.
