Interesanting, Humberto, what you explain about the visual and the musical differences between these two turntables. I havre to buy one of them. Yes, the 120 model is nicer but yes the 140 model is silent. I should have appreciated to listen few seconds with them with the same album. But congratulations for this beautiful presentation. My choice : I really do not know again. The 120 is much more nicer. But we listen the music. Hello from the north (Québec) !

Yea, this set up is a little much. There are 4 mics and 6 processors. The Behringer is just there taking up space - nothing connected to it - more like storage. The Presonus is in series with the Symetrix 421 because the Presonus does not have a downward expander/gate and the 421 does. And this set up did not last for long. Later on I set it up with one processor per mic, keeping the ART, two 528s and the 286.

BROADCAST Warehouse has taken back off again under new ownership, however I haven't been impressed with their customer service since. Was great with Brendan and Andy there before it was taken over.

On the AT-LP120, there were no improvements made in the last decade. The same problems: none working AS mechanism and motor cogging. AT-LP140 was newly designed, so something very different. Still, for just a third price of AT-LP140, you can find a very decent japanese direct-drive turntable from 80`s and it will not spoil in terms of mechanical parts. You will have to replace some capacitors and that is it!

The sound of the Behringer is strange (comb-filtered, no transients, not enough top-end) and to me it sound like one or more settings problems. First check input/output levels, polarity and settings, if that's fine use very little compression and transient-friendly times. Use peak limiter only for 1-2db peak reduction. Killed transients and too fast release are what sucks life out of program material. It's hard to see but it looks like there is very low levels in the upper two bands which would explain part of the dull sound. The cheaper the processor, the more you need to know and the harder to work, which is why people get bad sound out of perfectly find equipment. But Behringer stuff isn't bad in general, they only need a low of knowledge about settings and the manuals are often giving misleading advice.

The DSPX is fine for the hobbyist, its clean but not particularly loud. The Arianes have also been surpassed. I have a TransLanTech Ariane (the original, analog one) and it is a great, transparent stereo matrix leveller. However, broadcasters are either barefooting the audioprocessors or are beginning to use Angry Audio C-Levels if their airchain is still analog. Plants that are modernizing are using Audio over IP (AES67/Dante, etc.) and are doing processing in the digital domain. Those without a big capital budget to buy an Omnia 11 or the Optimod counterpart, are doing all the processing and stereo generation in software with StereoTool or BreakawayOne/Omnia9.

Just wondering what antenna’s you are running now with the new BW 600W Transmitter ? I have a BW Broadcast DSPX-HD audio processor I really don’t use anymore it’s a 2014 model. Green means the audio in that band is within the set threshold and it’s either actively compressing (applying faint reduction) or red, meaning that the audio level for that given band, has fallen below a set threshold, and the gain change action has been paused or frozen for that moment. This helps to prevent unnecessary gain rush-up in low passages of audio, and helps keep things consistent, without making the processor go nuts trying to always chase the perfect loudness level. It knows when to act, and when to wait. It keeps the AGC and limiter from sounding too busy, also.

@@humbertowrigolini578 Yeah it looked like an old radio station board to me. My old friend who's well into his amateur radio stuff (not HAM, but actual music broadcasting) would love this! He had a self made 'On Air' light outside his home studio that triggered when he pressed the button to send audio coming off his live feed to the main bus and everything, although he mostly focused on online radio (and occasionally AM iirc), as broadcasting on FM without a license here is highly illigal. 😉

If the Behringer you got was a working 9024, that's a good deal. Honestly I think the two are comparable if you put in the time to do all the 9024's settings - which is a lot.
