The Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe of Florida, Inc. was founded in December 1999, by local actor, singer, director and playwright Nate Jacobs. It is the only professional black theater company on Florida’s West Coast. The mission of WBTT is to “produce shows that promote and celebrate the African-American experience, attract diverse audiences, support and develop African-American artists, and build the self-esteem of African-American youth.” Since its inception, WBTT has produced many productions locally, around the state of Florida, nationally, and internationally. The company has gained a reputation for high quality, original, thought-provoking, and entertaining performances.

I'm really not sure how I got here, but this was spectacular. The richness of the vocals, depth of harmony, beautiful colorful costumes and obviously well directed. Just stellar.

We owe a debt of gratitude to the black Church. Brothers and sisters in the faith, you have perservered in spite of terrible injustices as your struggle continues to make America a better nation, not for the sake of power, money, fame, or legacy, but for the real Kingdom. All of us who have been rescued from the sin debt and the penalty of death share a common bloodline regardless of how we got here. That bloodline began at Calvary where Christ plead with His Father to forgive us for we know not what we do. Oh the Grace that abundantly comforts us. Can it bridge the gap between black, white, brown, and the many many other beautiful colors of humanity? Oh yes, by His command to love each other as sons and daughters of God. May our Savior, who gave up all for us, be the center of our lives, be our est Friend, be our Redeemer, and be the Bridge who brings peace among believers and show the world's people that in Christ, we the saved, rejoice in our differences, yet are unified as God sanctifies each of us, meets our needs, and one day returns to take us home to be with Him...in great mansions.
