Thank you for sharing. There is a squirrel in my front yard who is screaming periodically and in a similar fetal position. I gave her food, water, and a warm blanket in a box but she screamed and tried moving away a few feet. Her movements are harsh and jittery. I called wildlife rehab places but it’s 10pm. I hope she’s ok in the morning. I’d bring her inside but I have 2 cats.
