    I’ve noticed with Uber that when I enter the name of the business that what is displayed to me is sometimes the street address (no business name). I’m not dropping a pin to the location. The driver will then ask me which business I’m going to.

    • @HodgeHub
      @HodgeHub 3 місяці тому

      @DovdM The Uber / Lyft driver's don't know if you used a pin or typed in an address, and riders often slightly mess it up or change it. So, seasoned drivers will often ask as a double check. It's one of those deals that a few seconds of talking about it can save a few minutes both for the Uber / Lyft rider and the driver. Thanks for watching!

  • @DovidM

    I’m always out at the pickup spot when I call Uber but I’m frequently charged a 5 cents waiting fee even though I entered the car as soon as it got near me. It’s a negligible amount but I wonder why I’m charged that?

    • @HodgeHub
      @HodgeHub 3 місяці тому

      @DovdM That sounds odd. You should give Uber a call about it. There is a good chance they might refund it or offer you a promo code for your next Uber ride.

    where was that bumper made? china? i kept the factory steel bumper and bought a warn winch plate for it, fit perfectly and it is nicely made. also the added weight of the winch makes the jeep ride better. socket head or fallen head cap screws are the answer for the fairlead boolts if a socket won't fit. i believe the fairlead was designed with the intension of using socket head bolts.

    • @HodgeHub
      @HodgeHub 7 місяців тому

      @JB-ro3sz No, the bumperwas made here in the USA. It was a newer product when I got it, and I think that they forgot to add clearance for the powder coating in the place where the skid plate meets the bumper. A few thousandths here and there adds up quickly when it comes to making metal fit correctly sometimes! Thank you for watching! Other than that, I love the bumper. I do really like the metal stock bumper too!

    • @HodgeHub
      @HodgeHub 7 місяців тому

      Yes, this route is EXACTLY that, a nice not too technical route that works GREAT for someone just getting used to driving their Jeep. This is still probably our favorite route that we do over and over again. I can remember the first time that I drove down it. I was scared on all of the water crossings. All of them have nice hard bottoms and aren't bad at all. Another nice feature of this route is that it's very high up on the watershed, so it is one of the first areas to drain after a big rain. That being said, turn around don't drown if in doubt. I have never done it when the water was higher than a few feet of air space on the first bridge coming out of St. Paul. From my notes: *** NOT ADVICE!! Just recon I have done on water levels from various sources. *** ST. PAUL - White River - With 7' on the Elkins river gauge there was about 6' of air space at the bridge on CR 112. This was on 10/31/2020, about 48 hrs after a 6" rain event after a VERY dry spell, think drought conditions. In a 2020 Jeep JLUR on 33s. With 10.5' on the Elkins gauge on 12/18/2021, there was 3' of air space at the bridge on CR 112 near St. Paul. We had about 4" of rain in the last 24 hours. In a 2021 Jeep JLUR XR on 35s. We had no issues with either trip due to water levels. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    • @HodgeHub
      @HodgeHub Рік тому

      Going from the east to the west will put you going downhill on that route. That is definitely the easier way to go. There is only one obstacle that is of any real consequence. That is a drop off after the end of a concrete slab. You can see where I go over it going up the hill. I think you will be OK. Just go really slow. You might have to do a little road building right there, but all in all it’s not that bad. Thanks for watching!

    Great job sharing an effective and cost effective solution. I plan on using a conductive cloth tape to place on the bare metal surfaces so rust is less of an issue and to wrap the gasket with the conductive cloth tape the cloth should last longer then the aluminum over time.

    Way too much dependence on foil that will breakdown over time. Try sanding down the top lip of the can, line the insie of the box with cardboard to insulate it from the metal, get some cheap aluminum flashing and cut it slightly larger to fit inside the top, making sure it overlays the rubber seal. When you force the lid closed, it will press the flashing material into the top and it makes complete contact around the top lip. It will work everytime. My blocks wi-fi, 5G, and bluetooth.

    • @HodgeHub
      @HodgeHub Рік тому

      @Roger McCarter Those are GREAT suggestions. I really appreciate the feedback! So, to be clear, does the metal flashing you are describing go on top, and outside all of the edges of the ammo box, then you close the lid on it smashing it?

    • @RLMUnbelievaaable
      @RLMUnbelievaaable Рік тому

One thing I wanted to ask, I also, maybe 12 months later had exactly the same throat issue as you, Angina symptoms, and had the same stress test that came back all clear, and the discomfort had gone away. Did you get any clarity on what that was and do you still encounter it? Glad you're fully recovered

However, I have ridden my bike, pretty hard for a few thousand miles since then, and have not had any further problems or heart problems. So, that is good news! I hope that you continue to do well! How long did it take you to get back on the bike after your stent placement? Are you on statin?

    Do they usually have to be grounded? One Young girl said they have to be, and she never stated why.

    • @HodgeHub
      @HodgeHub Рік тому

      According to LiveScience.com “Does a faraday cage need to be grounded? Grounding a faraday cage - that is, providing a way for the electric charge from its exterior to exit - is important in terms of safety, but it is not necessary for a Faraday cage to operate. Without grounding, electric charge will remain in the exterior of a Faraday cage.Dec 2, 2021”

    What's the difference between a switch? Thanks

    • @HodgeHub
      @HodgeHub Рік тому

      @Aaron A, Great question! The simple answer is that a patch panel has no electronics in it. Where a switch does have electronics inside. A patch panel port only connects to a single port on a wall. Whereas a switch might connect to several ports.

  • @jbwx

    The aluminum foil is fine, but is the paint removal necessary?

    • @HodgeHub
      @HodgeHub Рік тому

      Paint removal is usually needed to ensure a good electrical contact. In this case we want a continuous electrical connection all the way around the device we are trying to protect in order to produce the faraday cage effect.

    I'm deciding between Peloton and Nordic track as I plan a purchase today. This video hit the spot! Thank you. Gonna go Peloton, cause the wife thinks she might like it better. I think that's actually a really valid reason, if she doesn't like it, and isn't drawn to use it, then we've just wasted our money. I think I'd like the outdoor rides on Nordic track and would go that route if it were just me, but Peloton it is!

    • @HodgeHub

      @Jack Harding Wise man! Peloton has worked out really well for us! My wife has really enjoyed a lot of the yoga and weight classes that Peloton offers as well. My son has also been using some of the Peloton weight training classes. So, the Peloton subscription has really been good for the whole family!

    I like the new Broncos, they look sharp and it seems like FoMoCo did their homework. The Marketing Team however... who the hell thought it was a good idea to release the hideous version- bronco “sport” with the badge of a bronco? Thats a little tinker bell suv mom car. That thing and its release date got so many misinformed people turned off and confused with the real Bronco that all I heard since is how bad it looks when they didn’t even know there was the “Real” Bronco delayed in manufacturing. My old man is a retired Ford designer, he’s confused as to why Ford would do such an idiot move as well. Its about as bad as calling the electric 4 door blob “Mach E Mustang”. Don’t get me wrong, I have no issues w electric cars but again, Marketing needs to be taken behind the shed and given a good beat down LOL. LMAO, They could have called either of the two aborted projects pretty much any other name and it wouldn’t had mattered lol. Sorry, end of rant. I really like the new Bronco but I still prefer my old 78 Bronco over it. Even though I have zero creature comforts other than a big block with gobs of torque.
