      Danny was into men and women, he also spent a lot of time with Jim aside from the male escort side of things. Even though he worked for him, they still had a relationship behind closed doors. While I totally agree that Jim was a predator, Danny didn't always spend time with him just for money.

    I believe that George and Kathy’s story is a giant hoax. I have personally researched the story and after hearing about Geraldine Defoe who was actually Ronnie’s wife at the time of the murders and after reading Ric Osuna’s book there is no doubt that the story was made up. Also in a later interview George admitted that he had met with and knew Ronnie Defoe before the murders happened

  • @gusmonster59
    @gusmonster59 5 місяців тому

    It was a hoax. Ron Defoe was diagnosed as schizophrenic - which explains why he claims he heard 'voices'. The Lutzes knew about the murders before they moved in. The haunting never happened. The Lutzes admitted to making it all up decades ago. The Warrens showed up AFTER the Lutzes had left. The Warrens were grifters who simply went wherever they thought they could get good publicity. The showed at Enfield and were told to go away. All the 'demonic' photos they took in the Amityville house have also long been debunked. No one owner since the Lutzes have reported any paranormal activity in the house.The kids have false memories from being told so often it happened. That sort of thing happens quite often.

      Listen, as I clearly stated in the episode multiple times. I believe there was paranormal activity..but as someone who takes getting all the facts before making a decision, I gave all of the reported facts. That way people can make their own decision on if the believe it was a hoax or not. I'll gladly visit the home and stay there but I highly doubt the owners who actually remodeled to have some of the attention taken off of the home would like that very much.

    As with " The Enfield poltergeist" in the UK, I think this case is genuine but with so much media attention it got blown out of proportion. I had my own personal experiences in Wales UK, please Google : " THE GHOST OF GLADSTONE VILLA". This was a genuine experience that occurred in the UK from 1969 to the Summer of 1978. This property actually convinced a skeptic and a non believer so it's well worth researching and needs to be documented and shared. My family, our friends and I experienced phenomena that defied rational explanation, many witnesses. Ideal for this Halloween.

    It certainly seems like a hoax to me. When the Lutzs met with Defeo’s lawyer after the fact, they concocted this story over four bottles of wine, according to the lawyer. I’ve seen interviews with the Lutzes where Kathy contradicts George over details. They said that cloven hoof prints appeared in the snow on a certain day, when records shows there was no snow at the time. The fact that nobody else after them reported any ghostly activity is a big red flag. These are just a few things that make me question the validity of the story.

    I believe that it was a hoax. I believe that the whole thing was intended to be a part of the legal defense of Ronnie Defeo Jr. I believe that the Lutzes expected to make enough money off of the deal to make it worth it to leave everything behind. (If they're expecting to make, for example, half a million dollars, then who cares about an $80,000 house?) There is one other thing that I suspect may have happened. The Lutz family bought the house because, at the time of their decision, they didn't have a problem with the history of the house. However, after they moved in and their kids started sleeping in the same beds (same headboards anyway) as the DeFeo kids, who were murdered in those beds, maybe they started to feel uneasy about it and ultimately it started to get to them. Maybe they decided, by Day 28, that they had made a mistake and wanted to move. Maybe Weber knew about that, perhaps because the Lutzes told him and maybe that was why the Lutzes were open to this hoax. After all, they would have expected to make the money they needed to leave the house (because they could not afford to leave without it). This way, they both win. Weber gets the legal defense he needs for Ronnie DeFeo, Junior, and the Lutzes gain the means to move out of the house. I can't be sure, but I can say that it seems to fit with a certain elegance. As for the Lutzes continuing to claim that it happened, they only had two options in that regard. They could admit that it was a hoax and suffer the consequences or they could continue to claim that it happened and try to maintain enough doubt to avoid the consequences. It's not hard to understand what their mindset might have been on that.

      Hoax. So many people have come forward now that knew George Lutz, but kept quiet while he was alive. Did the evil spirits decide that haunting one family was good enough, since so many others have lived there & still there with nothing happening. The house has even been blessed as well with no occurrences. Would you admit a hoax if so many people believed it & the main success of the book ,& movies were because it were "true". You would become hated very quickly. Daniel changed his name & Missy left it all behind. Christopher still maintains some of it happened but says it was greatly exaggerated.

      George Lutz business was going down hill, couldn't afford mortgage. They knew about the murders, they moved in 6 months after, not a year. If I remember, the lawyer for Ronnie defeo was friends with the Lutz family. He told defeo that he heard voices and use a haunting as a insanity plea. The lawyer and the Lutz's came up with the haunting story. Made friends with the author and the rest is history. This story is all over. I've seen it on discovery plus, UA-cam other videos. I've seen a video about the oldest Lutz boy saying it wasn't haunted. He said George was into the occult that why he wanted to move there.

      The Calamityville Horror Michael Kernan • September 16, 1979 Washington Post About the lie detector test: Chris Gugas, a Los Angeles polygraph specialist, reported that he tested the Lutzes separately, his associate working with Kathy, asking about the levitation incidents, the brief transformation of Kathy into a 90-year-old woman, the other events. "They both answered truthfully," Gugas said. "They were pretty frightened, and it took us nearly two hours to get him calmed down. But what they told us, they believed." Gugas added that he has run tests on several people in occult cases, finding that some were lying outrageously, but that some were telling the truth. Among his credentials he lists polygraph tests on James Earl Ray, Robert Vesco and actress Terry Moore, whom he confirmed in her claim to have been Howard Hughes' wife.
