Where did you get your print display rack? Also, what brand of canopy do you have? If it rains is the canopy enough to protect the products from the rain? I'm so scared of doing outdoor markets in the rain haha
I've heard about more thefts at this con from bloggers than i have in ages. I wonder if it was a group of thieves
Love this! May I ask where you got the wooden print display rack for your smaller prints?
Love seeing you share your experiences! Have you done outdoor /night markets? If so I'd love to hear about setup, tents, materials you buy because I feel like that's a whole different game!
I do a lot of outdoor markets in the summer! I actually have a video in the backlog for doing outdoor markets that I hope to complete soooon
If you had to pay for health insurance as a single person, would your business still be profitable?
i was so glad to see your video in my recommended because i bought a print from you at the con and lost your info!!! your art is so cute! but i'm so sorry your AWA experience wasn't great. it really went downhill this year. walking through the artist alley was so overwhelming and there were way too many artists... I am hoping next year will be better, since this year there were probably a lot of moving pains. hopefully the con takes the feedback to heart 😔
I want to buy the shirt 😭😭😭
Wow love your art and thanks for the info! I'm curious what are the overcompensated tech jobs you are referring too?
Could you tell us who the third manufacturer is??
You are doing an amazing job! I love your style, I love your work, I love your personality and I really love to see your passion and the your efforts you're putting in, and the way you're putting yourself out there...! And just everything you're doing, it is so cool! And thank you so much for all the business related content that you've been sharing, it's a BIG HELP! Utterly grateful, THANK YOU! YOU'RE AWESOME! Also, can you maybe do a notion tour? How you organise and use it and things related to organisation as a small business?
Ahh thank you for all the kind words ❤ my notion is very simple, I might do a tour of it in a future video. But it’s basically a calendar listing events and important dates. Then each product types gets its own page where I scribble ideas and stuff hehe
How open you are about all of this is so lovely and inspiring. I have been so scared to start, but hearing you say how happy you are and how worthwhile it is despite the struggles/lack of security at times has been so validating. Your videos are amazing and im so happy and excited to see and support what 2025 brings for you! 🎉
I’m so happy my video brings people good energy :) thank you!!
I can barely grow on IG 🥺
Thanks for sharing! I am wondering if you can share discord channel for seattle artist? Thanks!
It is SO inspiring to see how quickly you got everything off the ground! I’m not surprised because you’re such a hardworker !!! ❤❤ I love how informative your vids are and I’m so excited to see what 2025 brings!!✨💕
Thank you thank you ❤❤ I’m planning on making a lot more content this year :))
LOVEEE the goldfish one 🤭
I am genuinely shocked that you had so much growth and have done this full-time from a sudden start eight months ago! You go man, that's insane! ✨
Thank you so much!!!
Your videos really inspire me to change my career path, and move from tech to art myself. Everytime i watch one of your videos i get so motivated to make art, and it makes me feel like achieving my dreams is a possibility if i put in the effort required. I really appreciate all you do. Keep it up!!
Omg 🥹yes you can do it! Best of luck to you ❤
Your Instagram reels always motivate me to do better with my own content creation! You speak so eloquently and are able to get your ideas and personality across that really connects your viewers to your business! I loved the December series, I'm definitely motivated to make some more series (only now to figure out what to post as a lazy content creator lol). Best of luck to you in 2025!
I edit out a lot of things and i do many takes - definitely not an eloquent person but thank you 😂 !! Good luck to you too 🎉
I saw your art at smol art mart in 2023 (at the plant store)! Your story really resonates with me as someone in tech who just wants to do art. Going to follow your advice and just keep drawing!
That was one of the first events I did!! It feels like it was so long ago already :,) good luck with your art!
Hi! You're one of the most influential artists that encouraged me to start my art business this year! Thank you for the contents you create, and I look forward to seeing what you do in 2025!
Omg thank you im honored :,) I hope your business does so well this year!!
Super insightful - thanks for sharing <3 also, congrats on a great 2024! Loved seeing you at the Seattle events! I can't wait to see what you do next :)
Nancy!! Happy new year, see you at more Seattle events this year ❤
how is life living in the west coast?
u have a lot in store for 2025, what cons ur going to table at this year?
Super proud of you! Can't wait to see what you do in 2025 :) I saw your booth for the first time at pride festival in Seattle and I resonated with your story and art after seeing your "I code" sticker bc I am also a software engineer! I actually quit my tech job in Jan to try to pursue art but I'm still a beginner and learning and omg making art is actually harder than it looks haha. I was also prioritizing resting/exercising/healing from burnout over learning art so I didn't get as far as I'd hoped. I decided to go back to tech in May while still doing art on the side :)) keep doing what you're doing!! <3
Thank you for the support ❤ as long as art is bringing you happiness, either as a job or hobby that’s what’s most important. Have a great year 🎉
How did you get into selling your art? Were you always planning on selling your art?
How was the transition from tech to art? What advice would you give to someone looking to do the same?
What is the best advice for someone who wants to start vending at art markets? How did you develop your art style? What are your biggest inspirations lately?
KEEP GOING:33!!!❤❤❤
Please make the hello panda version. It would be so nostalgic for me ( and I would hope others). I would buy that so quick! It's such a cute idea!
I would LOVE THATTTTTTTTTTT
That’s sooo cuteee! Could you make a fussy ver.? Not pressuring but I think it would be soo cute ❤
time to consider zip tie down your display since you always get new ones for them. I also just had my first theft experience this year.... a group of people acting all enthusiastic and love over my character macarons. They picked and choose for a while, took 5 then just playfully pretend they're buying bubble milk on my neighbor stall, and I know they heard me but oh well the way food vendors were set up I would be loosing more going after them. It's not like I can't lose $10 over 5 macarons, I just dont think they deserved them.... Since then I noticed 2 types of people: one who touch your product, and one who tells you what they want. Obviously I'm implementing changes for future tables, but AH I'm still wishing they had a stomach ache eating those stolen macarons.
I'm sorry someone stole your hats, it really makes NO SENSE to steal from small businesses, especially artists. Come on dude. I suppose y ou could ziptie them from now on or something. It's interesting to hear that you did okay! I have been watching other vlogs and yah some people reallyyyyy, didn't do well.
i love washi sticker sheets! Those are so cute thoughhh
Who is the boy:33
That’s mr.shooley
So cute 😍
you are in the same area I was when I was in that place for dream hack atlanta. XD that area is CURSED I swear!
I would say to fully secure them with screws and bolts. I usually try that or have a helper/ neighbor look over my booth when I walk around. So sorry that happened to you but think of this as a good experience to think of how change your display. Otherwise just as a memory to joke about in the future
What camera did you use for recording the vlog ? 😮
I use the DJI pocket 3!
@shooley thank you so much shooley for the answer.. I just saw a lot of artist using dji pocket 3 for their vlog.. Can you tell me why you choose it ?
Hi Shooley! I just wanted to say hi. I was your neighbor, two table away to your right at AWA. 😊 I recently followed your Instagram and absolutely loved your video-I enjoyed it so much that I watched the whole thing! I even spotted myself in your video during the setup from 3:05 to 3:16 and again at 5:53. That’s me, the little cat furry doing my best to help my sister set up her booth. 😸 Seeing myself from a different perspective was so surreal! T_T I wish I hadn’t been in fursuit so I could have walked over to properly say hi, but the vision inside was so narrow-it was a real challenge to get around. I really hope I didn’t bump into anything (or anyone!) while trying to walk around-I’m pretty sure I hit something every single time I moved. 😅 It felt like I was navigating a maze blindfolded, and I just kept apologizing internally with every step. If I did cause any accidental chaos, I promise it wasn’t on purpose! 😭 It’s so upsetting to hear about the theft you experienced. One of my friends, maybe 10 tables away from us, also had items stolen, and it was just heartbreaking. 😢 The loading and unloading process was rough, too-I had to wait almost three hours just to get the map that led to the unload area. The dock itself was so cramped! Honestly, I think they could have just let us drop our stuff at the front entrance; it would’ve been so much faster and saved everyone a whole evening of stress. Luckily, both my sister’s booth and my friend’s booth made profits, but with all the expenses, it still didn’t feel very worth it. I helped them out by driving and transporting their stuff, which kept costs lower, but even then, the difference in sales compared to Momocon in May was huge-if not double. I really love your video, I hope you’re able to rest up and enjoy the holidays after such a busy con season!💮
I just loaded/unloaded through the normal entrance since we just had suitcases! Hope it was a fun experience for you though :)!!
Im so sorry that happened to you, theft is a terrible thing to do especially to an artist. I hope you’re ok. I wish you the best for 2025
People who steal from artists and small businesses are really something else! I'm sorry that happened to you :( I wish you nothing but the best for 2025!!
Appreciate it thank you so much❤
Why I don’t deal with con people they are the worst and just broke and do this stuff..
I’m so sorry that you got stolen from 😔 I’m a bit of a newer viewer but just curious what happens when you leave your booth? do you have someone else managing your booth? but regardless, love your vlogs! 🥰
sorry you had issues with AWA this year hope u start of 2025 strong next year and i believe in you
@@marcusice5400 ahh thank you so much!!
@ getting big sales can be challenging at these big cons and small cons as well but the goal is to get back on track with the sales I think you can do it I also followed you on instagram I love ur art work a lot
I didn’t know you had ribbons😭Should’ve bought more stickers😪
Next time!! I’m gonna make more 😊
Omg sorry to hear someone stole from you 😭 hopefully it won’t happen again next year 😢 happy holidays though 🥹
its part of the business :< thank you, happy holidays!!!
Was cool seeing you there- Sorry you had issues with AWA tho Heres to hoping you start off next year strong
Thank you!! I believe I’ll have a good event in Atlanta one day 😊
Dolphins aren’t entertainment
For sticker sheets i like to see if it's got small stickers, like the tiny stars or hearts and such so i can fill up the empty places in my spreads. Also, if a sticker sheet has a very clear theme going on and can be used to make a complete spread, i gravitate towards it too.
Lovee your videos! Been busy the past few days so i was catching up on them A little suggestion from my side would be to look at the lens when you're addressing the camera. I've noticed you're usually looking to the side, like ig maybe at the display? Other than that, great video as always! Looking forward to the next one🎀
My iPad always kicks me out of my drawing apps😂😂and then tells me my storage is low even tho I don't have a lot on it XD
