    We just finished a kitchen reno and now it is open to the living room. I’m in the midst of shopping for new furniture and can’t make a decision. I like the Scandinavian look (my heritage) but I also want a very cozy feel. Not sure how I can achieve both. I’ll try watching the show you recommended and maybe get some inspiration. Your information delivery is so pleasant and I’d give my left arm for your hair ! 😉

    This is so helpful. Last week I came out from NYS to Massachusetts to visit my sister. I hadn’t been to IKEA in almost 10 years and really wanted to go to IKEA. Off we went to Stoughton. We were there about 5 hours! Wow, I was very impressed. We both picked up things we needed. There is so much to see! The prices are very realistic, reasonable. Yes, much has improved since many years ago. I really encourage people to go take a mini vacation to an IKEA store (if it is a distance away) if you find things you like you can have the items shipped home. It’s a win-win. Thank you so much.

    I have had many different styles in my homemaking life. My only advice is this: buy core pieces that you love and don't get rid of them. Just update colors and decor. So invest in hutch, dining room table, wood pieces for living room and good dressers and beds. I let so many great pieces go that I wish I had kept. I do still have my 1940's front room tables and some of my mom's pieces. Art and lamps and paint colors come and go.

      @@designmorsels Another option for this, that i wish more people did because visuals are the main selling point for me on YT videos, is when you leave up a smaller version of the photo next to your face after you feel like its been full-screen for long enough. Great middle ground in my humble opinion. I'm sure this is more work in the editing process though! First video i've seen of yours but i like your style, thank you!

    • @AverageJoe__47
      @AverageJoe__47 2 дні тому

      @@designmorsels hey, no, i'm saying leave up the full screen image, for however long you feel people's attention span is, and then switch to face time but a split screen with your face and a smaller version of the exact same photo. I feel this makes sense for people who may get bored a little of that same photo but still want to refer back to it as you keep discussing the elements of it. To be clear, i'm saying maybe leave up the mini photo for another 5-15 seconds, depending on how long you keep talking about it.
