I think I’m general I’m quite happy they changed the dub now but damn, hearing the OG voices and the name “serena” makes me so nostalgic, I was 8 when I first seen this movie and when I fell in love with just with sailor moon but with anime too!

Aside from the voices, another reason I didn’t commit to buying the new dub is because the video is cropped at the top and bottom. So we lose some extra detail like their heads getting cropped off.
This is the only voice actress that truly channeled Sailor moon.

Why can't I find this version of the very last fight? So irritating. This is what I grew up on and miss it so much. Sailor moon. Was the first anime I was introduced to so it is very near and dear to my heart
I know the OG dubs have people divided but this one was like ICONIC.
It doesn't have to be an either/or. There are things I like about Voltron, and things I like about Go Lion.

i love this movie and its been a while since ive seen it until today. and i do not know why they had to change the voice actors? like now they all sound whiny. and i dont like it. theyve ruined a good movie and for what? i wish theyd bring back this version and remove the one they have out right now
I think it's because the redub is done by Viz and not Dic. It's probably a licensing issue but tbf I'm not sure

Both the links listed have the original dub BUT it's the pioneer DVD version where the English song has been restored with the original Japanese song.
I really love the dic dub version of sailor moon, and this movie was so cool. One of my favorite sailor moon movies since I was younger and I still love this. even though it was chessy at times and they cut out scenes from the series, I still love the dic dub version of sailor moon. The voice acting has lots of emotions and their voices actresses did a great job.

The original dub by DIC back in the 90s.
@@ycastillax3 It's taken from the Geneon/Pioneer uncut special edition of the movie. The original Japanese version was there with English subtitles, and the English dub version used the DiC voice actors with the Japanese music track kept intact (including "Moon Revenge" during the climax scene)
