Very sad to hear he had died, rip Lanre, you did end up creating a piece of art that many are pondering about and benefitting from
Couple excuses... Normal addict.
God bless Nigerians
Here’s hoping it’ll go on the DM 30th anny release
that first hit looked like a BIG one, it also looked too smooth to be his first time, i was on shit for 2 years and still missed a ton of veins
where are these documentaries being found?
In case you haven’t seen the upload date, it will be 11 years in August since this was posted lol. This isn’t new is what I’m saying.
DOES ANYONE KNOW IF HIS BOOK IS OUT????????
For anyone who’s looking for an update, his long time filmography friend, Leo Regan, has made a 2023 film about him, titled ‘Lanre: My Friend’. RIP, brother…. You’ve done your job in this life.
That's not seems Liam voice
Having a parent on any drugs must be so exhausting😢 good to know he was clean before he passed
😂😂😂😂
Fantastic documentary!! I'm very lucky to have his book which is a brilliant read and can go for $200 plus nowadays!!
whats the name of the book?
Liam's voice is VERY raw and young...this is years b4 they were famous.,.and Noel had just joined the band after being with "inspiral carpets"....best move he ever made.
Certain jesters I see from him makes me think he is a true drug attic and that all is truly worrying with. I true sells man. This is why never trust a drug or attic!
Why they changed the song name lmao
That should have been in an album
I don't do da shit I sell da shit.
So sad to see Lanre deterioration on gear I did have laugh him ringing police on Erroll in failed detox I'm 11 years clean thank god I should write book in house fire at 13 stuck care sexualy abused then groomed child prostitution prison u name it I'm so proud be clean ❤
wow, you should be so insanely proud of yourself. I hope you’re still doing well. God bless you🙏🏽
So sad, He seems to be a really genuine nice guy. I heard he passed away last year or so, not drug related. I always wanted him to do some cocaine, not to get high but to see the little animals that came out of his hands and arms he claimed happened when doing that drug, but nobody believed him. Those creatures could of been a cure for cancer or something.
What do you mean "not drug related", he died from cancer. Heroin massively increases the risk of developing numerous cancers, and if he was on the crack as well or into chasing the dragon then obviously that causes lung cancer.
@@ryank3321 My Mother died of cancer and she never did any drugs Including tobacco or drink. So what killed her. I have a mate who is 55 years old, a chronic herion user and he is out living my mother's age. Go do some research next time.
Why do I always come back to stuff like this even though I know, I shouldn't be watching this...
sounds smithy
Foolish man
Everyone here looks very girly
I feel his story is extremely sad, especially as the story ends on a happy note when he convinces himself that getting a publisher resolves his problems, that his reduction of his methadone saves him from the temptation of consuming drugs, and that he had come out on top of it. I hope he was able to live his life well on his own terms, and that he rests peacefully.
Sad he got cancer and died in 2021
@@temureviewer33 There's a new film about his life called My Fried Lanhre which has been played at a load of film festivals in 2023, hoping it will be made available to stream online at some pont.
when was this filmed@@temureviewer33

@@temureviewer33Go watch Leo Regan’s 2023 film on him! Same dude who worked on this…. How tragic
think this is my new fav song. only oasis could do a cover of a house song and make it better than the original
You don’t use heroin, it uses you.
Anyone know what happened to the two female addicts
Sara, as commented on this video below, she is clean
@@bear_chills?fantastic news. She beat the odds!!
WOW! What the hell! How come I just found this song? What other Oasis songs have I missed?
Rip fella!!
He must have been very arrogant to see drug users at close hand, but think that he would be able to use the same drugs yet not suffer the same consequences as everyone else.
I remember loads of people thinking they wouldn't be weak and get addicted like those junkies now there all dead.
I would of loved to have met lanre
Proper love the drums on this!
I haven't seen this for years, lanrie and i lost contact so sad to see he's died . sara

Rip 🪦 lamin. So sorry 😢. You were an amazing 😻 writer.
My shapes of confusion
Good to see the whole story about this poor guy, i watched the Cold Turkey version which uses some of the same footage.......very interesting as i have my own demons. I relate to the lieing and fooling he does tp himself and to his family and friends. Some of it is quite comical but very sad at the same time.
RIP lanre
Watching this is 2021 and wondering what's become OG Lanri. Did he get clean is he still on the gear living in denial or is he dead??
Wiki says he died 2021
As the other person said, he passed last year but he was clean for 8 years by that point
Ugh why would they not release this
Keep coming back to this doc every few years, just found out Lanre passed this year 😌
Damn how'd he die?
@@josephvalceanu6427 im not 100% sure mate, it doesnt say..but he passed on 21st Feb this year sadly 😌
He was 63 tho, so if i had to guess it could have been a combination of old age and the effects of long-term heroin abuse. The article said that he died peacefully so I don't believe it was an overdose or anything. Still, RIP to such a gentle and talented being.
Yes same here mate, I’m a user for 20 odd years and I just find myself still attracted to this type of thing-strange?
It says he died of an illness not related to drug use. He'd been clean for 11 years and was working on the 3rd instalment in this project with the cameraman/person you can hear and see in the cold turkey documentary.
The real tune fuckkk!!!
Jiunki fakcsen LSD, 🥶🥶🥶🥶
3:20 is raw as fuckkk
It's like seeing the book: Naked Luch-W.S.Burroughs....
R.i.p.
Did he pass away?
@A. M. yeah I saw his death on Google on the funeral page he died February 2021 at 63 years old
Sounds like a dad rock band recorded in a shady pub. Still a classic part of this phenomenal band's history!
Does anybody know if his book was published
Yes it was
yes
