The Pemiloop! New Hampshire, Lincoln Woods Trailhead!
In this video we hiked the what's called the Pemiloop in New Hampshire. It's a collection of trails around the Pemigewasset forest that follows the mountain ridges and mountain peaks! This was around a 32 mile trip over three days, its one of the most challaging hikes I've ever undertaken but also one of the most rewarding. I do not recommend this hike for anyone not experienced in hikeing and or backpacking, this is a vary challanging and physically demanding hike!

If the state was smart they would put in a paved bike trail throughout North Stonington I lived on 2 farms in North Stonington one on Ryder road and one on ruiteman rd. 74 Ruiteman rd ( I know I’m spelling it wrong) it was Drakos Farm / Bill &Tina- my step Dad Joe Quaratella built the big barn in the back ( with Drakos money of course . Bill and Tina were great people
Scares me just to look at the video!😮
Voluntown, the remotest town in Ct.
Debatable but most plasuble.
Planning this one myself in the near future, thanks for the preview
Its a pretty awsome hike, Enjoy man hopefully you get good weather!
I'm too old to ever do this hike myself, but seeing it through your eyes is the next best thing!
Beautiful, thaks for the share!!
I've been living in Plainfield for the past 11 1/2 years and did not know about this. Thanks for enlightening me, TC! I have some exploring to do!
There are all kinds of neat places hidding close by!
So many parties up there back in the good ol days. 🎉
Very cool
I like the Browning Mill lake trail in Arcadia
I'll have to look that up not sure if I know of that trail or not
Up in North Adams ,Mass there is a dam made of marble and supposedly the only marble dam in AMERICA. It was a marble quarry back in the day.
Thats really intresting I may have to go check that out thanks!
Love the video. Appreciate you going in the cave that I wouldn't go in. Didn't have a light with me either way. Got caught in a popup thunderstorm and waited most of it out in the mouth of the cave. Pretty flooded with all the rain recently.
The mine only goes back a few hundred feet and it was dry further in when I was there
@@tcsworld203 wish I found your video before I went 🤣. Really cool place either way. Lots of history in CT
Hi, can you access Seboomook Point campsite by car off Little W road? Or just by water?
As far as I know the only way to get to Seboomook Point is from the water side there where no trails that I could find leading to the road there are also private property on both sides of this camp site.
@@tcsworld203 thanks you saved us a long drive!
My names on the roof and I flipped my jeep, dirtbiked in and through it at least a dozen times, you used to be able to climb up the opening on a cable
On a down note my coworker and friend Tim Gagnon died in a flooded marble quarry in Vermont. Cave diving in the winter time, RIP Tim.
It's a shame there are no pictures there was also out in the woods in that area a Indian style restaurant
Your right your dad was right I had my very first date I was 16 years old and we when to pine top lodge it was very nice so glad you did this post many people said I was crazy there was no ski resort I said who forgets their first date thanks one joy

Nickel mines
yeah I did some reading about this place after the fact, they mined iron, and copper I know for sure in the mines here in the 1600 and 1700s
Turn down the music.
Where do u park
Many many Native American structures were demolished by colonists looking for loot. So for this to be so intact I doubt it is older than 1800.
Good video. New England has gone thru periods when there was high population density, in part due to farming that involved people having large families. Over 100 years ago, many areas that are wooded today in 2024, were actually once active farms. I used to follow another guy who was trying to trace Celtic ruins from UK to North America. There are a lot of problems because people from the UK (some Celtic) did indeed live in these areas. The root cellar you have is not uncommon in New England. It is probably from the 1800s. There are sites in Massachusetts that are a lot older. I can think of a couple of walls, a wooden henge to tell time, a huge pile of cobbles, and more spots. But honestly it is probably from the 1800s. I hope you have the time to dig and find stuff, and it would be great to find out it is part of a pre colonial culture.
Yeah Its a cool stone chamber but I have no idea how old I have really no knowledge of this kind of stuff but it's cool to find!
Looks just like the one in Pomfret
I've been told I gotta get my butt over there and check that one out too!
Great views! 👍😎🐆
Been there, know it well, used to live near there. Vast hiking possibilities there.
I'm glad I found your channel. This is just my speed. I hike mostly in Pachaug State Forest in Voluntown and North Stonington.
Glad your enjoying it hopefully I'll be getting out soon to make some fresh videos!
Someone tried to rehabilitate the house with new doors but the vandals got to it again.
Oh really thats sad I always thought this would be a great place to live!
@@tcsworld203 I saw it one day with an air conditioner in a window and a satellite dish and a big long horn steer with huge horns walking across the driveway, apparently not in a fenced area.
Thanks for the memory trip. I used to live in Voluntown and I would hike down that way on long hikes. I was a hiking machine. Not so much now.
Thats the Dorset bat caves. We threw some of the largest parties in VT there durring HS. (Also home of the vermonster. One of the largest cave systems in the US)
I thought the bat caves where further up on the same hill where this quarry was?
I also partied there in highschool, class of '94. I also tripped my balls off in there with a friend once. We brought up a large stereo and set candles up everywhere. One of my best trips ever.
@@sethriggen5255 Dam bruh glad to hear your still alive. (Im class of 04 and thought I was the old fart 🤣)

Native americans are responsible for the caves. I have been in 100s of them in CT
There,s also a Deep Cave in New Milford Conn, I forgot the Name, I haven't been there since the late 70's, Before your time But is been mapped out, It closed to the public the land owners were scared of people suing getting Hurt can't blame them in this world,, But in the 90's I think it was given to the Town.

Awesome spot i checked it out today really cool and huge
Glad you found Milo Light! It is a beautiful forest of 300+ acres. Spent quite a few times at The Hopyard too!
Yeah thanks for telling me about Milo Light I will definitely have to go back out and explore it!
Fantastic work guys, these shots are just beautiful! Love it
Thanks man!
Great video. So glad you made it out there. Was going to give you exact spot to go but figured searching for it would be more rewarding. Love the videos and appreciate the effort you guys put into them.
Thanks for telling me about this spot was a great hike and awesome place to explore, glad you guys are enjoying my videos! @@Rob-p2p6r
You should watch your cussing, kids watch these videos.
I do swear here and there when I get excited, but its not often once or twice in any given video. I'm not being hateful or mean in its context, I'm being real and I'm being myself. With that in mind I will be more mindful about this and try to be more reserved when I get all giddy about coming up on something that I find exciting. I do appreciate the feed back thanks.
That’s such a dope spot! Good find!
It was defiantly one of the coolest things I've found out in the middle of the woods!
Hey Tim, very interesting site. I had no idea that was up in that area. It was great meeting you guys on the trail at Tillinghast Preserve recently. Knowing you like unusual sites and ruins, have you hiked to the old boyscout camp in Arcadia WMA? There are many structures from totally caved in to partially still standing cabins, stone chimneys, and a still standing water tower. Could not find much info online, but eventually found it on a section of the shelter trail and more on a spur off that trail, same general area. Definitely a must see IMO.
Thanks Rob! You guys where the first people to recognize me from my you tube out on the trail, it was great to meet you! I'll definitely have to go check this place out, I've done hiking around this area at Breakheart pond but never stubbled across the old boy scout camp so thanks for telling me about it!
Love this spot and glad you made it out - thanks for not sharing location details
Yeah was fun to find and in amazing shape for being there for over 50 years I'd hate to see it get vandalized, its almost like a time capsule!
Cool one, TC!
Thanks it was fun finding this site!
I used to camp there when I was a boyscout
Vary cool bet that was fun!
Fond memories! Well done
Neat! I didn't know that Jerimoth Hill was open to the public - thanks for showing it off! I'll have to stop there the next time I'm out that way.
Hello,....That is a pretty interesting thing to the highest point in the smallest state in the U.S.A,..Rhode Island,...Thanjks for sharing this video,.
You asked for suggestions; you might like visiting Milo Light Preserve off of Rt. 82 and 163 in the Montville/Bozrah/Salem area. I understand another property has been preserved adjacent to Milo Light off of South Road Bozrah.
Thanks! TheRichtaber! I'll defiantly look this place up and put it on my list of places to explore!!
